Hi, recently watched a video on using tar paper, so ordered the smallest bit I could via Amazon, a 1.4m x1 metre piece, then needed to find a video to remind me how to use it. So you tube to the rescue, yours and a couple other videos appeared. In class tomorrow I'm attaching a batt with my batt mate and using tar paper on the top, this then should be a less messy throwing session for me, haha, watch this space, thankyou for your video. Can't wait to try it 😊
Thank you for this. I just had back surgery if my lower back and I worried I’d never be able to throw again (or at least not for a long long time) This is so nice to see
This is something I have wanted to learn to do for long time. Lon enough that I think I may have a sumight ggestion. A narrower tube might make it easier to pay the lower notes, and might produce a slightly clearer tone. That will mean a longer tube and a wider finger spread. Sorry about that.
I have a question, one of my biggest pieces broke, it was a shape of a humanoid being, I was able to get the two legs(they are big and hollow but aren’t connected after the fall, can I still rehydrate those two to save myself some time?
Always come back to this video. You've really done such a great job with this song and the dog at the end was perfect! I love saying "and a little punctuation by the dog" every time as if it is part of the song.
Thank you for your wonderful work, your detailed explanation, and your calm nerves. I have a question for you: when you finish making the piece, do you put it in the oven to grill until it is solid? Greetings to you from Syria, from Damascus, Jasmine.
Hello, Thank you for making this video. I have a couple of questions for you. I was working on a 12” x 10” x 2.75” block. Part way through the relief, I had a family emergency in another state. I tightly wrapped the block in a plastic bag with a moist towel. I ended up staying away for almost a year. The block, needless to say, is rock hard solid. Do you have any ideas re rehydrating it? My next question, what kind of plastic bag did you use? Thanks.
One big block 6”x3”x3” from goodwill, who knows the history. Five hours in and we’re so on our way🤗 Turned a bummer moment with the kiddo, realizing it was rock solid, into a whole new project!❤
Great work! I decided to make a drum today and looking for others who’ve done it before me. Your’s is so involved. I don’t think i have it in me for all of the tightening stuff but am very impressed with your talent and energy. Also, I love your glasses. Initially i thought I’d like to make a hand pan out of clay. Do you think that is possible??? Thanks for sharing your work!
