Nov 17 2011: Whoa - glad some folks have enjoyed something/anything here, comment left or not. Perhaps one day I'll get my youtubing ass back in gear if fortunes improve. Best wishes to all who've dropped by on the interweb . :)
Feb 24 2010: Sorry dear viewer - I didn't fall off my bike, but I've not been tubing for yonks. Currently trying to figure out the interface changes confronting me since last here. Should anyone still require a reply, please holler again. Thanks muchly for each and every kind word. Due to various drive failures and a poor backup regime I've lost most of this stuff, so quite enjoying it again myself. :)
Lovely Nana singing a wonderful sweet song of the great Franz Schubert, what do we want more? She sings the transition from minor to major key after 1:19 perfectly!
Fuck yeah dude... like... this song sucks ass but... it's the earliest version of a Molly bawn I've ever heard... seemingly no relation musically nor lyrically to any other version I've ever heard and... well, again, it's terrible but... still the earliest Molly bawn I've come across and might very well sound better with a better voice and a slightly different arrangement... fuckin awesome. Thank you for sharing this
The live performances by Lone Justice have something entirely missing from their produced albums. Maria McKee is a vocal powerhouse, but the rest of the band is great too. It’s a shame their manager and/or producer wouldn’t let them be.
I remember someone who said they were doing the job of roadie for him and said he was a true gentleman. It's good to know he had that to him as well as a remarkable talent. This is as good a blues interpretation I've ever heard.
If this is a different episode to the only one that got shared here, it would be one of life's great mysteries and tragedies that you didn't share the rest. Poor old Bob, he may indeed have been stoned, but he had eye problems, which may be all that's going on there. It's a huge crime BBC don't even repeat these 2 series, or put 'em on ye olde DVD.....
The only artist I can compare this powerful soul to is Richie Havens. Both sang, wrote and played from their soul. I’m so sorry I encountered John’s music so late in my own life. What a treasure he is even now for us. 💕🎶
