I was at this Emmylou Harris performance, which took place on September 9, 2007, at (the now closed) restaurant/venue called The Derby on Hillhurst Ave in Los Feliz, in the L.A. area; this was for a taping of a BBC4 special to-be-called "The Ten Commandments Of Country." Pretty special night to be in that crowd with many friends from work.
Been on Raton in all kinds of weather, day and night! Wind rain snow sunshine and full moon nights... Emmylou- a woman to die for, and thankfully, she's by far not the only one!
I just can't believe someone doesn't like Emmilou's voice, she is an angel, favorite with Joni Mitchell, girl singers are hard for me to like, but Emmi cuts it.. she's a songbird
Such vulgarity and hatred. Do you listen to any actual country music (as opposed to what passes for country music today), where many of the themes are spiritual, specifically Christian? That is its origin - the churches and Christian spiritual tradition of the time. So instead of such vulgarity, why not educate yourself on the history, as well as on how to properly write and punctuate sentences? (But I'm sure all I'll get in return is more filthy talk and hatred.)
