A vision into my passion for music. Being a DJ and music producer was a natural calling for me. Self expression and having fun are the foundations for an enjoyable life. Happiness is only real when shared, which is why I have created this channel :)
I went with the numark mixstream pro go as my backup to my prime 4+. I agree Denon is the best bang for buck on the market & once they move on from that 10 yr old processing chip found in their current standalones & controllers) , it's game over for Alpha Theta.
I would like to see that feature the prime 4 plus has on the prime Go . When on the screen you can use your finger on the screen to make zig zag lines for special effects. Would you happen to know if engine DJ gave this feature yet on its updates to the prime go? Or is it just available exclusively for the prime 4 plus?
Great reviews 👍 would like to see your track list playlist track IDs just for some different content 🙏 getting tired of mixing techno 😮 and I can't seem to find any good tech house out there because I don't know any artists
. I just purchased the Prime 4+.This is my first piece of digital gear. My Technics 1200s and all my vinyl were lost in a tragic accident 14 years ago. It's funny, I don't use sync and even the visual bpm counter and beat phase?(the visual indicator of which track is faster or slower) feels like I'm cheating. I'm blown away by this. This is the first piece digital gear that I've ever laid my hands on. I'm in love.
I have the Austrian made ones, since 24 years ago, and a Philips 1305t dac that combo produce a very natural holographic soud bass is on point you fall in love with the mids and the relaxed highs, they sound right in oldschool devices, and they are so honest to tell you if your audio source sucks or is good, but modern newbie reviewers always plug them inthe crappyiest modern DACs and daps and they think they suck, but they are not the problem
Serious mobile DJs Who are doing research before buying a Prime 4 can skip this one. It’s heavy And gets dirty easily so it doesn’t leave the house. That’s all you need to know
Hello DJ Unrotected,I enjoyed this video. I'm new to DJing and still learning rather than accepting business. I tried to live stream my first set on my Chromebook last week but the software crashed. So I videod the set intending to upload the video to You Tube. The audio was unusable with a high pitched squealing sound. After a bunch of research I bought a Windows 11 laptop, constant lighting softbox, video camera with web cam function, installed Streamyard and bought and Irig stream device. My first test stream was last night and it was almost perfect. I could use my microphone plugged into my DJ Controller which came out perfectly. My next dialemma now i can stream to You Tube, Facebook and Instagram is where to get good music from without running into copyright issues. This is why I'm researching Mixcloud and found your video. I have a Lickd account but the Copyright free music I can downlaod really isnt that good. What I want is banging Club music and some Tech House or EDM that I can use. Anyway, I'm on the right track now and I think I'll log into Mixcloud to see what the deal is. My plan is as you say to elevate my sets and get known out there as well as provide some footage for prospective clients to view. If you look at the videos i've uploaded to my channel and see the interest in Tech House I'm getting, 1100 views in 2 days, its the music I think I'd have the most success with.... Maybe one day I'll have as many subs as you!! 😎😎😎
Can any1 here recommend Denon sc live 4 for home mixing? Are built in speakers good enough? It looks a little cheap but does it feel cheap when using it? Is it just for beginners? Or can experienced dj mix just as well on this as on a 1210 turntable?
@DJ Unprotected, thanks for the video, I just learned something new about the GoPro and that's the Media Mod...I had no idea that cover existed. I have the 11 Hero and just purchased the Media Mod for it, should make for an interesting project for me. I use an external mixer to run my music through, using OBS. However, I've only streamed once or twice because of latency challenges. I will be trying this again using my GoPro connected to my OBS laptop and see if this works better. Not saying the camera was the issue, it was my older laptop which I have replaced. Keep up the good work.
I think the media mod will work great for you!! I have experienced latency issues myself when connecting cameras to my laptop. There is something called Sync Offset within OBS (advanced audio settings) to help delay sound to match the video. Play around with it, I think I have sync offset settings near 1000ms.
Magma cases are a great alternative to a flight case. I have a Magma case for my Rane Seventy. I would also recommend a Decksaver to protect your investments. Great video @DJ Unprotected.
Am I the only person that thinks these plastic covers are way over priced? Thinking about buying the prime 4 plus or sc live 4 and see these plastic covers and carry case and it’s bit of a rip off. I remember years ago when I stupidly threw out my technic 1210 dust covers because turntables looked better without them and because mixing with the dust covers up is annoying. I swear I remember hitting my head on them. When I checked online to buy replacement, it was like £80 each and I just said, NA. Although, they really are worth the investment to protect the babies 😂 Did this prime come in white? Or is it a faceplate? No offence but I hate white for electrical devices. I have white ps5 and somehow, it always gets dirty and I have to wipe it down.
I do think the plastic covers are overpriced. But I’ve purchased them for the Prime 4 and LC6000 and think they do a good job. This prime 4 is a limited edition white version. I feel you on white getting dirty but it looks awesome under blue lights and in the club. Worth risk, haha!
@@DJUnprotected I’m wanting stems possibly to plug in turntable or cd’j in future. Prime 4 plus seems best apart from the layout. Not sure I’ll like it. Apparently you can use Serato with sc live 4 to get stems. Do you know this to be true? If I can get access to stems on sc live 4, then I’d rather sc live 4 because sc live 4 is half price of prime 4 Sc live 4 £1000 Prime 4 plus £2000 If I can use stems on serato I’d deff go with sc live 4. The built in speakers would be a plus because I can’t play loud music where I live and not only that, if I buy prime 4 plus I’ll need to buy speakers and possibly an amp? If I buy sc live 4, I can literally turn it on and mix with it. Not only this but maybe if I buy sc live 4, the next Denon device may have more standard layout and have the features I want. It would be great to save £1000 especially as I’m after buying a new direct drive sim racing wheel setup.
Hi I want to connect my DDJ FLX10 with my MacBook Pro M1 and the OBS to record my DJ stream. I don’t want to make a live stream. I want only to record a set. I have also the obs app on my iPhone 14 Pro. So my problem is: when I start recording the set my cue is not muted. Please help anyone All works perfectly, except the stream picks up my headphone mixer sound even when it is only enabled for myself
Thank you! I import my recorded sets in to a digital audio workstation (Ableton Live) and add a limiter to bring up the volume to radio levels before I share to sites like Mixcloud.
First feedback I've ever offered on a product, online. I want to support your review because these headphones are absolutely fantastic. I use them in my job as a film editor, and at home for personal use (I'm using them right now!). About 20 years ago I shifted from some Sennheiser semi-open that I really liked, on spec because I saw video of some sound studio pros wearing them. I was immediately blown away by their "true" sound; so clear, so unadulterated. In fact, early on, coming home from work late at night with the family all asleep, I sat down to listen to like, The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields' recording of Baroque music. As the first bar of the music hit my ears I threw the phones off my head thinking that I'd mistakenly patched thru to my floor standing B&W 604s, and I had just woken up everyone in the house. The K240s are that live. Over these 20 years I've turned on numerous co-workers in film and TV, and bought sets for everyone in the family (including my elderly mother who when using them could finally hear the TV!) And as to the comfort level, I can totally agree. I always forget that I'm wearing them. In professional use I often use them in conjunction with a pair of desktop JBLs so that I can get a sort of BS idea of what my tracks (Avid outputs of lower rez production audio coupled with temp music and fx tracks likewise down-rezed) might sound like to the director and execs down the line. But if I really want to hear the nuances of the dialogue I turn off the external speakers. As for wear and tear, in 20 years I've replaced one set of padded cups, and the original pair's self adjusting hub on the right side broke a couple years ago so I patched it together with electrical tape. I've bent the stereo pins on two pair by stupidly dropping my laptop on its side, so I've replaced two curly cords. So I consider the K240 Studios (gold coloured trim NOT the silver ones, which are more expensive but in my opinion too "bright") a great piece of my work and home audio systems, which includes the B&W 604s and a pair of Ohm Walsh 2000 Talls. I came across your review because I'm going on vacation & am looking for a set of headphones, wireless, that might rival the K240s (I can't wear ear buds). Yea, the ATKs are a bit bulky for carry-on. So, not short and to the point, but that's my response to your review. Thanks very much for posting it!
Greetings from Austin, neighbor. Question for you: I'm in the market to replace my current cart for my drums. Since you mentioned the On Stage and Rock n' Roller carts, I assume you looked into those as well. What made you go with the Gator? And a quick follow up: how are the handles holding up? I've seen a few videos where people say the handles on the On Stage cart don't sway or move at all....as in they don't have any play. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this cart.
I did look at the other options, but ultimately went with the Gator for the durability and larger wheel option. I haven’t had issues with the handles. Only problem Inexperiences was a few nuts fell out which probably came loose from raising and lowering handles. Bolts were easy to replace. This cart has been very reliable for me!
That looks like a clear one where do you get that one from? I have one tats tinted for the prime 2 but I want a clear one for my white prime 4 that I just got
Bro they do not bump lol absolutely no bass weight and very harsh highs. If you are using a thump go for crowds of 50 people them you are doing it wrong I’m afraid 😂 need some 15 inch subs for that at least if indoors. Probably more outdoors at a minimum
@gr1mr3apa15 I really like the way they are built but I settled on 2× Bose S1pro+ out of fear. I always get nervous trying new things. Is it really That bad though?? 🤔 Great review(er), either way☺️
@@DJUnprotected for my needs they work well, I prefer the sound when they are outdoors but along with a prime go, they do the job well. I’ve ran them with subs as well and they also sound fairly decent although that use case rather takes away the point of them being battery powered.
