The issue was real. Your video was designed for clicks and highly sensationalised. You didn’t actually describe the bug properly and spent little time talking about the well know workaround so shooters could keep using their cameras with confidence. Enjoy your 15 minutes. But I’ll no longer watch your channel. I don’t trust your opinions anymore.

Leica cameras are handmade pieces of art that inspire the user to create art and tell a story. You never forget that basic fundamental when you pick one up. Hard to explain to those who may not have had the chance to use one, that may be more vocal in condemning the brands, price, technical specs, or even the users. I always encourage those to continue using whatever inspires them to tell their story no matter the tool.

@constantinephotography5287
@constantinephotography5287 20 дней назад
I would still like a way to Toggle that feature off. I’ll still complain! 🤣 No…I even tried to replicate it and didn’t have any deleted files or issues. All files stayed on the camera and none of them were erased on the SD or CF express. I recorded some thoughts on that…I reached out to Leica and got an automated email as an SL3 owner. Apparently what some users have done is removed their battery without turning the camera off…then putting a new one in…and then just start shooting….john wick style. kinda goes into the hate I see out there for the camera/brand.
@Ich-k7y

@@constantinephotography5287 As you know, hater’s gonna hate😉. However it seems there is an issue which needs to be solved by Leica. I own the SL3 too. I don’t have any problems with freezing, overwriting etc. I could imagine that it could be a problem if your camera freezes and you have to pull out battery. In this case you don’t have the possibility to shut down the camera as Leica is asking - meanwhile they working on getting the issue fixed.

sounds like the "expose preview" which can be switched from "P-A-S" to "P-A-S-M", i.e. it can be disabled for manual mode. (this is different than "enhanced live view")

Recently I tried setting the ISO and shutter speed on my M10-R to A (Automatic). I found that more often than not I wasn't really happy with my photos, a face or something was always a little overexposed or underexposed. Shooting a Leica is supposed to be fun, and, for me, setting everything to "A" lessened that fun.

I think you should definitely consider the Q or M11 if you are drawn to that form factor. The image quality is truly unique with the M11. Never seen anything like it. My SL2S does not do this. What metering are you using? The only way I can replicate this is if I put my camera into any sort of autofocus. If I actually turn off AF by clicking the knob on my sigmas or turning the AF setting to MF to use my SL lens it does not change adjustment like that. You can bind a button to be exposure lock. clicking that would lock the exposure and separate the exposure from the shutter all together. That's what I've done on my Q2.

@constantinephotography5287

The preview on the screen changes when you half press the shutter but that exposure metering is accurate and shows the right settings. The preview is the one that fluctuates. It shows what I’m assuming is that Auto exposed image. Then you half press and it shows the one you shot.
@SolarChronicle

When I was shooting the a7riii, I was still debating on moving to Canon (I was drinking the "Canon has better skin tones kool-aid"), but decided to go to the a7rv instead since I have all this GM glass (BTW, I had the 50 1.2 and sold it at the same price I bought it for then picked up the 50 1.4). A few things; the a7rv was the first Sony to have the "AI" chip. This dramatically changed some real important things for them - not only is AF awesome, but also provides great AWB; hence, great skin tones (even SOOC - this would show on the rear monitor too).
