Thank your for the vedio, pls i am an international student want to start my PGCE primary. My worried is when I'm done with the PGCE programm , can I have a sch that can sponsor me with QTS.
Hey, I’m based in South Africa and all we need to do is register with SACE. QTS is not required. However, I do know that if you are an African teacher who has secured a teaching job in the UK you will get assistance with getting QTS
Hi , how do I track my application, because ive applied and paid..but when i log in it still takes me through the process of registration and having to pay again
I’m sorry to hear that you are struggling with this. Look, once I uploaded all the required documents, I waited to receive the email with my provisional SACE so I wouldn’t say the was an actual track process
@@rewindthelesson2024 so I should apply for the fully qualified one and not the provisional one. Because I'm done, but I didn't apply when I was doing my final year
Good day and thanks a lot for this helpful video, I also got accepted at wits for PGCE and we are about to start. Your vid helped a lot and I now feel more confident, can you please also share your notes with me if you don't mind. I just feel at the better space when am ahead. Hope you find this well. Thanks in advance
Hello Sis Margret. Hope you are well, I have a Btech in Performing Arts Technology. Will i be eligible to apply for PGCE, to probably teach Arts and Culture?
Hi there, it depends. I'm assuming you are referring to the provisional SACE Registration. If you are doing a PGCE, yes - in fact I advise that you should. However, if you are completing a BEd, which is usually 4 years, I'd say apply in your 3rd or 4th year simply because you can only keep and renew a valid provisional SACE for 2 years if I'm not mistaken...Meaning if you apply for it in your 1st year and by the time you complete second year your chances of renewing it will be done and you'd have to wait until you complete your qualification to apply for the qualified teacher's SACE certificate. I hope my explanation makes sense.
... It depends on the modules you've completed during the course of your studies. Click on this link, I explain this in detail ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FrTyunlj7aM.htmlsi=9JGndwudbOOcxny-

Hi. I see that they do consider linguistics so i have linguistics and Sasl both 3rd level do i qualify? Just to be sure...lastly, is it easy to get a bursary. Thank you ❤
The only way to be 100% sure is to gather all the research info and then take action. Apply. I can't confirm for you if bursaries are easy to get just that the are a lot of options you can apply for... All the best with your applications
Hi dear thank you so much..i got accepted for PGCE PT and I'm happy. I'm challenge is I'm working full time in Limpopo, I don't know how I will go about it, will they allow me to write exams only without attending the classes?
Congratulations, I love getting this kind of feedback. Please check with the course coordinators how you will be examined and take it from there you can apply for study leave on your exam day if you have at your company. Otherwise find a way that will work for you and your employer. All the best with your studies
Good video dear. Please assist if your teaching as an assistant teacher for 6 months but don't have a education degree or hv PGCE can one can apply for this certificate
Hello there, The answer is yes you can register. However, you will need to meet some requirements. As stated on the website "All academically qualified and professionally unqualified applicants will be registered with a condition to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) within a period of two years. Failure to submit the PGCE to Council within the said period will result in cancellation of registration. NB: This disclaimer excludes anyone registered under special category" Meaning you should have already completed an undergraduate degree and intending to complete a PGCE. Please click on this link below to see what would be required of you when you register with SACE www.sace.org.za/assets/documents/uploads/sace_53475-2022-07-05-Registration_brochure_2022.pdf

Hey I am not entirely clued up about Tvet colleges, however you can check out Yonela on this link. She shares all you need to know relating to know TVet colleges www.youtube.com/@YondelaM All the best my dear
You can apply today! Look a PGCE is usually a year or two or three if you fail a module. You are eligible to apply today just make sure you have all the necessary documentation to apply. Once approved, you will get a Provisional SACE registration valid for a year, but you can renew it in the upcoming year if you will still be studying. The great thing about a Provisional registration is that you can apply for jobs already and might get appointed. Tell me how it goes... All the best,
Hi I wanted to know what is the difference between undergraduate and pgce teaching. I know that undergraduate students study for 4 years but pgce is 1 year so is their a difference between those two routes
Hello, Just noticing your question now. great question. I will address this question in a video and share the link to the video on your comment, to notify you on my response. Just out of interest. Do you mind sharing if you are based in SA OR another country?
Hello there, Once you've made your application and made the payments. The certificate will be sent to you via email. You don't download it. That's for the provisional certificate. As stated in the video for the official fully qualified teacher's certificate. I got mine at the SACE offices in Centurion. SACE has offices in every province though.
Hello there, You will not need a TEFL if you have a BEd or PGCE qualification. However, sometimes you find that the country you are applying to teach in does not recognise your qualification. Just make sure you get your qualifications from an accredited institution. Have a good day further, 🙏🏽
Hi Sis would you recommend education as a career to anyone and also consider the salary, if it is a good career what are the opportunities of a teacher being well off financially?
Hey there, You said education which is very broad as an industry/sector. If you are looking to get rich... I wouldn't recommend it. If you are talking about teaching specifically and getting rich...I would not recommend it. But then again well-off is subjective. So my interpretation may not be like yours. However, if you would like to establish independence and you are willing to study further and build you networks you will be fine and you will afford yourself a decent life (most of your needs and some of your wants will be met). I recommend that you read the book, So Good They Can't Ignore you by Cal Newport. It will change your views about your career and work; and it might help you with making the best decision for your life/career. I suggest you watch other career RU-vidrs such as Ntwanie Ngomane CA(SA), Nobue Khumalo, Imkitta, Atlegang Govuza and Sbahle Mkhize. They are in different fields, but share great insights on career progression and touch on money here and there. Wish you the best in your decision making.
@@zandileangel2498 This could be because you already have an existing account. maybe resent the password. or try register with a different email address. Remember that if you've already registered your email it will decline. Remember the South Africa e-Services Portal offers many services besides the SACE registration, maybe you've registered before for something else and you've forgotten.
Hey Nokubonga, Open the description box and click on the link that leads to the pdf document so you can see it properly. www.wits.ac.za/media/wits-university/faculties-and-schools/humanities/wits-school-of-education/documents/PGCE%20Requirements%202022.pdf
Yes, most likely at a TVET college and some private institutions, but highly unlikely at the big universities in SA, simply because I haven't completed my masters yet. Are you interested in becoming a lecturer?
Hey, BEd or PGCE you will be paid according to years of experience and the school you get hired at. So when you start out you will get the an entry level salary. BEd is not necessarily better than a PGCE the salaries are the same. So to answer your question you don’t need an honours degree for more pay. You need experience. However, an honours or masters may advance your career and of course led to more pay.
I have a bachelor of Journalism and want to do PGCE. Do I stand a chance of being taken at Wits for it? Wanted to major in English or languages. Thank you
