Hello and welcome to the becoming a teacher series of Rewind The Lesson.
In this video I share the 2 routes which you may explore in becoming a qualified teacher in South Africa. An important note I forgot to mention in the videos is the duration of the 2 programs; BEd take 3 to 4 years completion time depending on which institution you are enrolled at. PGCE takes 1 year full-time study and 2 years if you are studying part-time.

Hi I wanted to know what is the difference between undergraduate and pgce teaching. I know that undergraduate students study for 4 years but pgce is 1 year so is their a difference between those two routes
