You’ve Completed your BEd or PGCE | Now What? 

Yes, most likely at a TVET college and some private institutions, but highly unlikely at the big universities in SA, simply because I haven't completed my masters yet. Are you interested in becoming a lecturer?

Hey, BEd or PGCE you will be paid according to years of experience and the school you get hired at. So when you start out you will get the an entry level salary. BEd is not necessarily better than a PGCE the salaries are the same. So to answer your question you don’t need an honours degree for more pay. You need experience. However, an honours or masters may advance your career and of course led to more pay.

From what I've seen online with universities in Europe, Yes. But with my experience at Wits and UP, No. PGCE is an NQF Level 7 which is equivalent to an undergraduate degree so you would need to complete the honours (NQF level 8) before the masters. However, if you already have an honours degree in your field and you are looking at obtaining a masters in education, I would say enquire at the institutions you are interested in as there are provisions sometimes.
