Its interesting, I am half-taiwanese and staying 2 months here...some points I dont agree and think its funny, to see it totally opposites xD I found it really annoying to get vegetarian food...for that you have to search for a buffet restaurant, but at the street most foods are with meat. Getting food was always a daily struggle for me. Besides I think the food is after a while all the same, not the Food Paradise like many people say. I missed the western variety I have at my hometown a lot. But you're right, taiwanese people are sooo kind, they also cooked me a vegetarian dish if they dont have it on the menu ❤. Also the public traffic in my opinion is not good, for me its sometimes bad, only in Taipei City its ok. But in my opinion you need horrible long times to get somewhere, even if the way is not that far. Also many busses are so old, loud and unconvenient. I often missed the comfort. But I also agree how safe it is...I also feel it...and the lovely people 😊
Thank you for your Pros video and now this one with the Cons. Thankfully, most of your cons are actually pros for me :-) except the plastic and the pollution. I would ove to visit Taiwan one day!

Taiwan Han = 100% Southern Han Chinese. They didn't marry much with aborinigals. They are vietnamese because Minnan south china used to be "Min Viet" which was vietnamese tribe. So they are descended from vietnamese. Xin Chao, taiwan, you are bai yue, from min yue, "min viet"
I find mine works great now that I bought the ring that fits on top of your walk and then the steamer on top of that then it's not touching water and you get great steam they sell them 11 inch 13 inch I got the 11 inch we have vegetables every night more now because of the steamer

I love so much about to Taipei and Taiwan. Do a video about the fish market (Aquatic Addiction) next to the vegetable and fruit market not far from the Songshan Airport. Doing a walking tour will be amazing.
Nice videos that you have made, a great insight into life in Taiwan. It seems to me though there are advantages and disadvantages of every location, and the idea of the perfect location is a flawed one. The unoptimized life is the healthiest one I believe. The constant search for improvement and betterment is a cause of perpetual discontent, and keeps our attention away from what's really important in life. Personally I could not stand being in a place where people everywhere I go turn to look at me in surprise, because of my color. Nor to be able to communicate with people because of a massive language barrier. To me home is the best place, and making the most of that is my purpose. However Taiwan looks lovely, I love all the busy markets in the streets and the easy ability to eat out regularly and save on cooking and dishes. I love watching these videos about the Far Eastern countries, from nice people like yourselves - hope you do well out there, remember come back and visit us one day.
I saw in the other video that Caryn almost got in trouble with her bag with AirAsia - was that to bring it as a carry-on? I'm wondering if I can bring my 55L backpack as carry on.. so long as it's sub 7kg!
