I have TIS , Bentley and Haynes literature for my BMW but in none of this i can fint the values you pubblished on youtube. My car is a E90 2006 330xd european and according the ETK has a rear diff type 215L. I found accross bimmerforums values ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 Nm for new rebuids and 1.0 to 1.5Nm for my differential after run-in. These values are almost double yours. Are your values from your personal experience or are they comming from BMW?
My kit came with 2 concave spring shims, 1 large and one small. Is the large one necessary to replace and if so what orientation is it supposed to be on?
If you kept factory differential, the set you need is 188L. It is available on the link below. racingdiffs.com/collections/lsd-conversion-sets/products/bmw-e46-e90-e92-e39-e60-lsd-conversion-set
@@RacingDiffs ok thank you, been hearing some talk about bolted and welded ring diffs, could you check based on my cars year and everything if this would be complatible 100%? I heard something about welded ones where its a whole lot more work that needs to be done for it to work.
hi! after rebuilding my differential as the video said, i get a noise on deccelerating / engine braking, like something is vibrating / rubbing. any ideas on what i might have done wrong?
Can this kit be adapted to 188mm diff for BMW E9/E3/E12 etc? This is the sideloader version. Or can at least the pressure plates be used with some clutch discs? :)
Yes there is. You need type 215LW. Available on the link below. racingdiffs.com/collections/lsd-conversion-sets/products/bmw-e46-e90-e92-e39-e60-lsd-conversion-set
For your single turbo e90 I would personally recommend this. racingdiffs.com/collections/all-solution-lsd-unit/products/bmw-215k-215l-limited-slip-differential-lsd-unit

I had phantom grip build one for my car because you do not have one available. Can you cross reference one oof your existing models with my diff measurements?
@@RacingDiffs Hello,i would like to ask you about m5 e60 differential,so this diff has drive flange with 120mm ,so it can accept-fit from other bmw model drive flange with 108mm ? Thanks in advance
Most videos of yours i see you hitting the pin with a hammer, but i saw one saying that it needs to be pressed in with hydraulic press. So which is it?
I would recommend nothing but the best for such a high-powered car. racingdiffs.com/collections/all-solution-lsd-unit/products/bmw-215k-215l-limited-slip-differential-lsd-unit
Hi, I got an bmw e39 and it's got an open diff so I discovered this and I'm getting a set in the near future, it's a great product from these videos that I've watched if I don't want to weld the gears and want to have both wheels spinning and not spend a thousand on a locker or the regural lsd and it's possible to disassemble it aswell unlike a welded diff and the inspection will probably go smoothly unlike with welded it's not allowed for legal driving where I live. I'm going to make a video about it and do my best to install it correctly thanks for these informative videos. also I noticed nowadays the kits are upgraded so there is no need to grind the gears down which is amazing just the axels which is way easier aswell
Yes we do. Type 168k fits perfectly. Currently, you can have it 30% off the price by ordering on the link below. racingdiffs.com/collections/lsd-conversion-sets/products/bmw-e46-e90-e92-e39-e60-lsd-conversion-set

@@RacingDiffs thank you for the response, I see people happy with the kit and people that blew theirs, Im kinda afraid to damage my vehicle with it, any tips or recomendations, I wont drift daily mine just to have fun from time to time
Gd day sir,, is it compatible w/ suzuki samurai diff, or there are available one for it?, the basic mechanical construction/ components of a open diff are almost same of BMW's,, well as for daily &farm driving / not much seriuos off-road, just plain mud, ruts, gravel & sand typical country roads perhaps your LSD design can fit that qualification,,,
We don't have the specific model for Samurai diff. All open diffs looks the same, but to get proper performance out of LSD conversion set, you need to march dimensions in 0.1mm, which is impossible to coincidence. We will look into making the set for Samurai though. 👍🏻
Hey, just a quick question! I have a 1997 540i rwd and was wondering if the 215k conversion kit would be the right size for me? Which option was on this e39?
If it is april 2008, then it should be bolted, so 188L. However, there are exceptions. We serviced differentials from late 2007 with welded crown gears...
Manual trans is 215L and automatic is 188L. Both are available in stock 30% off the price. racingdiffs.com/collections/lsd-conversion-sets/products/bmw-e46-e90-e92-e39-e60-lsd-conversion-set

Unfortunately we don't have bearing/seal kit as bearings are so protected by BMW, you can't get them anywhere in the world. Seals and side bearings are the same as classic 210mm BMW diff that we have in stock. 2 side seals and side bearings costs 120eur + shipping.
