The most memorable car review I've seen. I never got a GT 86, but I did get a GR86 last year. No doubt partly thanks to this review that I watched 11 years ago. Thank you Bob.
Ride will be comfier on the smaller alloys. As for the noise you hear when you accelerate, thats just the engine. It’s the nature of the eCVT that gives a different dynamic to the experience when accelerating. Floor it in a manual version if they did one and the engine would have the same sound, it just wouldn’t stay at the same revs as long. Also, it’s not like a rubber band either, it’s a planetary gear set. No steel belt.
If the infrastructure was there then you could have small cars with much smaller batteries, and that’d make them cheaper and more accessible to everyone. Unless they invest in the charging network, EV’s are only going to be for those with above average income and able to afford the all singing, dancing larger battery ones. Or those that don’t drive further than the car’s range and can charge at home with their smaller EVs
I’m looking to buy the 1.0 Hybrid one guys. I’m looking for solid reliability and mileage as I will be doing motorway and cross country commutes. Is this smooth to drive on long journeys and how about mileage?
Good car, I like mazda tries to develop engenering solutions and create something different. Can they remain financially viable and longtherm stay in business..? The interior space means that this model has a niche segment in a car type that is already narrow these days. Increase sales figures with a 15 cm. extended version maybe?.
I'm looking at buying a 2nd hand one in England, the prices are the same for petrol or electric. A 2 year old Electric Shine+ with 12k milage is £14k. If my wife likes it, we'll be getting one. Its the best value Electric car at the moment.
An excellent review on the 840i! I had a 650i for thirteen and half years and traded it for the 2021 840i XDrive.i am the happiest BMW owner in the world besides you Lad! This car is by far the most technologically advanced vehicle in the world, hands down! It’s fast, it’s comfortable, it’s sexy and best of all it is unique, and that’s what I love! Everybody is buying Corvettes, yeah they are cool but everyone has one! I don’t want what everyone else has! That’s no fun!
So, a 2024 variation on the original 2014 BMW i3 Rex theme then, just with a smaller traction battery? Hmmm.... Btw, central government policy as implemented by local authorities in the planning system dictates that all new developments have narrow roads, narrow junctions etc - all under the principle of prioritising pedestrians and cyclists over cars. Ditto measures to discourage parking. Its the new reality in Ireland.
Happy for you! I will continue on your channel, and I will be watching every vídeo here from Brazil! I've being in Ireland several times, and I find you when I was there, as I am sort of petrol head! Be strong, go strong! All the best!
Wishing you all the best Bob love your videos. I've through level 7 prostrate cancer I received 20 sessions off radiation at Belfast City Hospital got my diagnosis may 2022 yes its hard a road but I'm feeling so good now I love your positive attitude mate stay safe.
Wanted to love the MX-30 BEV ... But those doors! If Mazda stuck this powertrain into the almost identically sized CX-30 body then I think that they'd do a lot better with it
You're doing a great job Bob and sound great best of luck with the recovery . I'm glad to see I'm not the only "old man who shouts at clouds" on that road. The swing people need to take coming out of the carpark and petrol station as they cannot see where those bollards are is mad. Only reason they were installed was to stop GAA parkers I would say. As for the car the MX30 EV itself really impressed me on a small spin I had with it. But the small range scared me! This would be perfect, but the price is nuts. What's the efficiency like? Would be concerned with the longevity of the rotary motor
