My 5th grader is dyslexic and has a tremendously hard time with spelling. Did your child struggle with spelling? If so, how did you overcome that using this writing curriculum?
I let my daughter misspell it and now that she’s in high school we focus a lot more on spelling and writing for college. We took it SUPER SUPER slow and it turns out that is what worked best no matter what curricula we used. Anytime she misspells, I just correct it and show her so she can try to learn it. We also have made them spelling words to give her confidence. 💗
Great collection. I find myself reading the good news catholic bible, which was originally created by baptists. But i like the drawings and the easy to read language. I also have a douay and others.
I know this is old, but it just showed up in my feed. Great testimony and welcome home! A few points about the Hail Mary prayer...(1) it is from the Bible Luke chapter 1, (2) the first part is said by the angel Gabriel meaning these are literally the words of God through His messenger, and (3) each Hail Mary prayer fulfills Mary's prophesy that forever she will be called blessed because of what God did for her as the Mother of God (Mary is Jesus' Mother and Jesus is God).
It's hard to understand what you're saying in a lot of this video with how fast and low you're talking. I see there's a transcript, but it's so much easier and faster if I can just understand the words spoken in the video. I know I can turn on captions too, but often captions are inaccurate. Just letting you know for future reference.
Sorry about that! I am a natural fast talker, also autistic so it kind of makes video recording a nightmare lol. I’m working on it. Haven’t filmed many videos since my youngest child passed away in 2021 but maybe in 2024 I’ll post more videos and remember to sloooow it down. Have you tried slowing the speed playback? I have used it the speed up videos where people talk to slow for me to comprehend. Not sure if it’ll work, just throwing that out there just in case. 💗
I'm 31 weeks pregnant with a Pulmonary Embolism in my left Lung. I had to be hospitalized for intense pain and they kept me for 10 day's. I've delivered 3 kids naturally and I am scared of breathing complications during a C section 😢
These notebooks are just beautiful! Thank you for sharing them. I want my girls(almost 6 and just turned 9 ) to do this as well. The use of pictures instead of all self drawing is a great idea, they don’t get bogged down with the lack of ability to draw well, but they get to illustrate their work creatively. They are beautiful! I am looking to buy your curriculum guides , but I wanted to know if you are going to have all six levels available soon?
I took a long break and am on another long break. After my youngest passed away it was extremely difficult to work. I changed it to a four year cycle and finished up through level 3 and have a high school curricula releasing in 2024.
I realize this video is very old but am very interested in learning more about the laminated notebook pages I’m sure you have a video explaining everything you do but would love to do that with my kids. Like how you said helped your children with spelling and grammar better than curriculum which I strongly believe can I get more info or can you link the video where you go into depth about that?
Hey! Sorry! I just saw this comment! I addressed that a little in the beginning, it’s one chapter per week structured : Day 1 read/listen to chapter on audible. afterwards discuss and ask the questions in the teacher guide. Day 2 : copywork directly from the teacher guide. Usually there are a few options they can choose whichever topic from the chapter. My girls were in high school at the time so they can also do research on a topic from the time period relating to the chapter and write their own summaries. Since it’s a thin notebook they usually cover text on one page and art on the next. Approx. I don’t give further direction because it’s their journal of what they learned and want to remember about the topic. Day 3 : print art they find off the internet, or draw/illustrate. That’s it! It can be 3 days in a row or M/W/F whatever fits our schedule/rhythm that particular week. Hope that helps!!!
Im soo excited to start this with my 4 daughters thank you for not watering down the faith. We are coming from public school and reading has been a hurdle but your videos are giving me the confidence to do this for my family. ❤ your an inspiration . God bless you and your family
After releasing 3 of the 4 volumes, I have taken a break. After our youngest died in 2021, I stopped working, then drowned myself in work to distract from the grief and now taking a break again for at least the next year. 🙏🏽💗

For this particular history, they were in the teacher manual but in other subjects they research and take notes, use whatever text we are using or if they’re younger I choose a selection based on the part that interested them most or that encompasses the best block of info.
Thank you for sharing your story of conversion. Beautiful story and loved hearing the things you had the hardest time believing in the Catholic faith (Holy Communion, Confession, and Mary) are now your favorite parts of the faith!💕
If you have bad eyesight I also recommend the Catholic book publishing hardcover or leather/flex GIANT type bible. It's a large bible with giant print so people who can't handle small font can read it.
