Love your style of painting, great to see you working in gouache. I do like working with gouache but more illustrative work. Thank you for sharing.

Very good job Chris👍...sometimes painting with gouache is a little bit more relaxing than with watercolor and mistakes can be corrected a little easier. Wish a nice weekend 🙋‍♀️

Ciao Vanda. Spiacenti, non ci sono sottotitoli, RU-vid solitamente li aggiunge automaticamente. Ho usato pennelli per calligrafia e un piccolo pennello per scopa. Il mio giornale è Bockingford colorato di blu.

please tell me about the brush you just used for the gouache landscape. you let it splay any which way as you paint....looks fun to try. and the brand of gouache? thanks

Hi Diana. I used an old calligraphy brush, it doesn’t hold a point any more, so it’s perfect to achieve texture. I have used it in several of my videos. The gouache is all Winsor & Newton.

Enjoyed this demo and am encouraged to go back to gouache - which was my medium as an illustrator years ago. I assume you use tube paint squeezed into pans. Do you allow this to dry and activate as you use?

Thanks so much, glad you’re encouraged to try gouache again. I usually just use it straight from the tube, however it does re activate well, so often use it like that too.

@@ChrisStephenArt - I ask about the squeezing tube colour into pans because I want to set up a sketching set to take outdoors, tubes being inconvenient. I use watercolour when sketching but think that gouache would be a more versatile medium.

@minutepics9851 Yes, gouache is perfect for plein air sketching.
