Very informative from your new friend in Ohio .... lovely channel, content, detailed, and straight up knowledge of the GAME! I'm shooting for spring 2025 to get up and running, I appreciate your time, knowledge and professional
Thanks' man, this video really relieved some stress for me, I'm just starting out and the pricing was completely throwing me for a loop. And this pricing model seems so much easier and understandable than anything I've read or seen yet! Really appreciate everything you do to help people like me out.
Love the content. I've learned a ton from watching your videos alone. The pricing on your site shows $199 for the dumpster and $19.99 per extra day. Has your pricing changed since this video? Did you find the $299 to be too high?
couple questions #1 Tell me how you derate a truck that is born 26,000 lbs from factor peterbilt 536 is a class 6 truck a 537 on the other hand is a class 7 which is born from factory being 33,000 lbs truck #2 3 tons you can legally carry but not you or the customer can justify that every bin you pickup will be 3ton or under all scenarios apply snow, rain so basically you’d be over loaded most times unless your weighing the bins on site before you pick them up
I get so much value from your posts, I own a lawn fertilization and mosquito control company in MA, I know it’s unrelated but anyone in biz can pull value from your posts. Thanks for your time
Love the channel , for clarity , concrete dirt and sod container is picking up all of one thing or can they mix those together in the same container without problems ??
I agree with everything except for so.t upfit yourself, but I also use to upfit trucks for over 10 years for a company that did hundred of different types of trucks. And I own a full mechanic shop, welding and fabrication, machine shop and electrical shop. These guys that upfit trucks locally to me wouldn't get it out in 3 or 4 month.
I have got my mind set on hooklift, going to try and sell my trailer and boxes and move towards hooklift, just because of right spaces. And to get rid of the need for CDL. And because I run and operate multple businesses, so my plan is to get hooklift utility bodies, flat decks, dump boxes, chipper boxes and enclosed tool storage. But I'm still not at the point where I can just go out and purchase these trucks outright
Funny enough I have a roll off trailer and I have a flat deck attachment. Not as useful as it probably is with just a truck. We always just choose the normal trailers first. Rarely do we use the roll off, mainly for forklifts and skids steers. Im trying to move towards a hook lift truck
We are considering getting our own "concrete" dumpster. What's the average tonage you see in yours? Concern is that at 5 CY that could be 7.5 tons which might strain my truck. We have a Chevy 6600 similar to yours. We also have the palfinger lift as well.
Thank you John for this awesome info. I recently started looking into Dumpster rental business and came across your channel. Already have watched quite a few videos and learning everything. I am in Ontario, Canada and going to implement the knowledge here!
Congrats brother. Ruble has build 4 trucks for me and they are def one of the best up fitters in the game. Best of luck with the new addition my friend.
I believe our phone call yesterday cleared this up for you. Good luck getting fired up and with your new hooklift truck... that's exciting for sure my friend.
Just imagine how incredible our industry could be if we all decided to work together rather than try and cut each other down. Collaboration > Competition
I really apreciate you. You really inspire me, great Chanel, great attitude. You have teach me so much. If I succeed in my journey, will be thanks to God and you for your great personality and willingness to share your knowledge.
Can you do an episode on the pros and cons of different trucks to install 54" hooklift non cdl and diesel or gas since diesel cost more and requires more maintenance
@@samedaydumpster Thank you and BTW, I appreciate your informative and professional videos. Most of the RU-vidrs are more self-serving than really informative. In the truck video or in a separate one can you also talk about dumpstar bags. I do not know how useful they are most areas but here in FL I think there is some opportunity with them since we get so many homes damaged from storm surges. I'm thinking the homes along the coastal areas could add a dumpster bag to their emergency supplies. If you drive along the coastal areas after a storm there are piles of trash all along the roads of these areas. If I can get them a bag prior to a storm it would be helpful for them and provide me with a business opportunity. Do you know if they even make a non CDL truck that will accommodate both a hooklift system, automatic tarp, and the bagster-hook system? I'd like to know about that before I order my trucks so If it's possible could send me an email with some of what you know about those system? I would greatly apricate that. I'm sure it takes time to make these videos so I'll likely be at step 10 prior to you putting a video out on it.
Amen to that! I have nothing but full hydraulic tarps on both my trucks right now and just can't imagine running all day every day without them. I'm with you Frank... hydraulic tarps are the best!
No... just because I dump their dirt, sod or concrete for no charge doesn't mean they don't get charged. In my market those are some of the best rentals out here. I price my services and rental based off of the value I provide... not based off my costs. There's a big difference.
Standard Rail Only! Nedlands, Texas Pride are just a few examples. Really do your research on this and ONLY purchase a trailer that our industry refers to as "standard rail." This will help you grow and scale with our having to retool all your dumpsters in the future.
Agreed. In fact, the argument could be made that it's actually better to purchase a used truck that all the new truck bugs and a solid break in has been done to save yourself some of those early headaches. Great comment and contribution my friend.
Hi all this guys really a professionals Beautiful website John I like to do a similar business model then yours in Philly Thank you awesome video again.
Hey man - not sure if I have missed this is the videos, but I would love a breakdown of a few things: Scouting a location or yard when you are first starting. Where to buy equipment (dumpsters, trucks, trailers etc., financing for a new business. I love and appreciate the content but I can’t find any good tips on the above items.
Noted! These are all very important to cover for sure. I have touched on all these in previous videos, however they are peppered throughout the channel. I think it's a great suggestion to organize all these into one video. I appreciate the feedback and support of the channel. Thank You Robert.
Correct. All my lettering (decals) are done with reflective tape, as well as the paint. Not sure on the brand of paint or the entire process... but you just gave me a good idea for an upcoming video. Thanks for checking out the channel and for the suggestive idea. Very much appreciated.
