Woooooo let's see the year is 2005 and this shook the FIGHTING GAME CIRCUIT WORLD!!!! I will never forget watching this on a psp in a movie theater parking lot. The games that were being played at that time was Guilty Gear X2 and Accent Core. Viruta Fighter 3 had a niche following, Capcom vs SNK 2 and Tekken 4 might've been the "last big thing". For the guys around me Justin was "THE BAD GUY" with his TURTLE playstyle in 3rd Strike but he was a MVC2 GOD along with Y!pes and SMOOVE VIPER who were the guys i looked up to. Those were the days. There were many names then and many more now!
Never gonna happen..they refuse to do any videos for Infiltration too.. Rick is such a fucking scumbag he wants everyone to forget they exist . Not on my watch.
You gotta remember this was back when sharing things online was barely a thing, especially international info. So nobody knew this was even possible back then.
I’m enjoying these types of videos more and more….overtime I’ve became a big justin Wong fan…but I’ve never did the proper research on his history…I took the moment I found out about him and followed him forward…so hearing these stories are always interesting and just makes me more of a fan of justin….the amount of detail he remembers and gives in each match and the mentality or thought process during those moments are incredible
It just goes to show how much top players like Justin and Yipes really care for their craft It isn't just *this made me because I never beat that guy" it's always for the crowd, for the community, for the history That one clip of Yipes crying says it best, "Not gonna front, I really care about y'all"
This loss was like one of the biggest wins anyone ever could have had. Justin Wong is without a doubt one of the best to play the game, but this moment in history is really cool and it's nice to see it keeps giving all these years later.
Me and one of my good friends were really into UMvC3 during this era, really glad got to experience it all. Truly one of the most hype eras in gaming in general
Jwong trying to bury the evidence of his destruction of I'm Fried Chicken (IFC) Yipes. Not gonna work, that's THE most iconic comeback in gaming history, and you left it out but put in daigo parry? LOL. Cmon man, be serious.
At the time also the Internet wasn't as advanced as it is now, I think most players if not all thought it was impossible if not almost impossible in such a high stress situation
It's not the hardest, but the first hit is very hard to parry because you basically need to predict when it comes out by buffering the parry. Most good players will block the first string of kicks and parry the second half.
