My first "handheld" would be my Grandstand games Firefox game, which technically was portable if not exactly handheld.
Since then I've progressed through Atari Lynx, various models of Gameboy, GB Micro, PSP, PS Vita, GPD Win, Couple of Switches, many handheld emulators (Anbernic, Miyoo etc) but recently I've mostly settled on Windows based handhelds.
Currently have a a number of current handheld PCs, Android handhelds and others!
Also currently loving game streaming via the @Abxylute handheld. Early DVT2 tester and now owner of a Panda model.
I Also have some Retro themed Merch! handhelds4gamersgmailcom-shop.fourthwall.com/en-gbp/
This low cost controller doesn't have hall sticks so ultimately it'll suffer drift eventually. But the sticks are proper full size not the commonly bad switch sticks so its unlikely to suffer the level of drift some switch owners experience.
Hi I've one but once I turn it on it would just click stuff on its own and I can't do nothing with it I've reset to factory reset and reinstall software and it does the same thing any help or advice
Sounds like you might have a damaged button or stick that's causing ghost inputs. I'd try button tester website on the device and see if it's got a button pressing. Might be difficult to get to a web page though.
Pretty sure it's a button combo to map the rear pad to a face button. Not sure if you can map them to a combo. The paper guide has some basic information. I may do a revisit of this controller soon as I've identified a use case for it in my home. 👌
My big sister sometimes gives me cash app money and I know she is NOT giving me $50 for a Miyoo mini + or even an A30. The SF2000 has most of the games I wanna play anyway. And it makes a cheap gift to give to people.
Depending on the games you might find performance is so poor it renders them unplayable. An A30 would be a wiser buy, especially now that MinUI is available for it.
Cheers, the aim is to finally travel light but with plenty to do. I've already decided I should also take an Android handheld... and maybe a portable screen, and dock and controller. See its spiraling already. 😂
I think I tried up to a 512gb in my one, but there really isn't much point as you'll be able to fit the entire library it could play on a 64gig, a 128gb if you really wanted to install some PSP titles.
Hi, I have it on my Ayaneo Air now. Its a little bit hot. Over 60 degrees in steam UI. The fan is a little bit too slow. Is there a way to change the fan curve?
You could try Deckyloader and see if there is an app like Fantastic that might let you tweak the fan curve. If that doesn't work I've been trying to daily Bazzite instead of Steam Fork, its mostly working out ok, especially as it seems most of the issues were "me problems" that I've worked around. 🤣
From order to delivery was about 17 days. Normally Whatgeek are about 15 days so 2 extra days felt slow but it actually arrived on a Saturday which was a surprise. It seems Whatgeek ship exactly 1 week after you place your order, this has been my pretty consistent experience and then the rest is shipping, which you can track online. Standard Shipping is free to UK and no extra UK taxes either. So what you see is what you pay! You can pay for expedited shipping but i'm not certain it will speed up the process all that much if it takes a week to dispatch.
great video! I've tried your settings but I still don't get the higher end frames as your getting, plus I've got rather a lot of lag. I'll have to keep at it and play around with it some more.
I made an updated video more recently than that one. Seems various updates nerfed that performance. Now we can either expect variable 60 at lower settings or a locked 45 at better settings.
Great stuff. I've had a lot of fun with it so far but it's not perfect out the box. Needs a bit of tinkering to get the best out of it. I'll drop more videos over the coming weeks.
Depends on how many Watts you're putting through it. But at higher tdp it'll have a 1.5hr battery life max. But at lower TDP it seems pretty efficient. I'll do a longer term test when I have more info. 👌
Holding up really well. I did have 1 issue, and that was an Adreneline issue where the driver was basically freezing up the device. Had to roll back the driver, disable the igpu and then install the updated Adreneline. Runs well! Its run almost 24/7 too.
I was running it at 15W TDP and 18W boost. At that it performs well in FH4. At 28W it's a hot handheld. There just isn't enough surface area for it to be cool to touch.
Baby ROG... I'm fairly sure the ROG will be cooler in use having a lot more space to dissipate the heat. I'm great thanks! Hope your having an excellent weekend too.
Do NOT buy. Chuwi is garbage and shady. I bought a 2160x1080 tablet from them with a keyboard and stylus. They sent me a 1920x1080 tablet without a keyboard or stylus. When I told them they sent the wrong thing they they were like, "Oh well, we got your money, we don't care." Don't buy Chuwi unless you want to get ripped off and have no recourse; you'll just lose your money. Chuwi are scammers, do not buy.
Okay so, recommendations for Steamdeck OLED: Steamdeck Refresh - 60Hz Resolution - 1280 x 800/Not Full Screen HDR - On In game refresh - 90Hz Disable V-Sync Low Preset, but with 8x MSAA FXAA - Off Almost solid 60Hz. Very rarely any frame spikes. Looks great.
@@handheldgaming4life Update - Turn everything to low and reduce MSAA to 4x. Motion Blur - Off. Still looks great with HDR. Convinced alot of these stutters are network related. Shame it's constantly connected.
I've found 5 much more stable than 4, but 4 is seeing a nice jump in popularity from what I can see, mostly because its going to have online shut down soon. I've actually been playing it a bit on my latest handheld and that runs even better.
Is the handheld powering up? Does it output video to a monitor? Hopefully not a setting changed in bios as I don't think there is a bios reset hole. I guess disconnecting battery might be an option but opening Aya Neo devices isn't for the feint hearted.
Yes, apparently my warranty is good till October but I’m trying to figure out how to contact the manufacturer. I did try to connect it to a monitor, but I’m not getting a picture.
@@bigymike808 I've got a couple of flaws on mine and so I posted up on their discord and someone provided me with an email address. Let me see if I can dig it out for you.
@@handheldgaming4life so I got an auto response saying they did create a ticket for me and that they should get back to me within three days. I think I might drive by Micro Center. It’s where I bought it. I don’t use it that much as I own a lot of different PC handhelds I don’t understand what happened.
service@ayaneo.com They took a couple of days to get back to me. Took a few days to get to a resolution but really not a bad experience for me at least. Although I'm carrying out the work myself since it's cosmetic.
Hello friend, I am Erdinç from Turkey. I brought 2 Bsp d8s from China for the first time. I am connecting them to K20pro via Bluetooth as Android, but it does not play any games, it seems connected, but what is the problem, can you help me?
In the manual (the little bit of paper) it tells you what type of connection you need when powering on, there are a lot of combos when pressing the power button and the face buttons (and the paring light changes color). So you may have connected in Xinput mode but need to be in Switch mode, or Xbox mode for example. Takes a little setting.
@@handheldgaming4life Brother, I tried all the modes, asphalt, real racing, shadow fight acting, only in switch mode. I bought these arms to play nba, pubg, mortal cod, fifa.
I was worried I'd buy it and not use it enough. And while I'm not using it for comics as much as I planned that's because I've never any time to read them. For general productivity it's been great though.
Well sure comparing a $300, 2024 model with a 2022 model will result in the old ones price being about the same as the new one with better performance. The Win 600 was never really a good budget option because it landed just before the Steam deck which moved on the market greatly. But these days you can pick up a second hand Win 600 for buttons making it an "ok" option for emulation or light older games. That said the Neo Lite isn't a great proposition in 2024, its kinda like this years version of the Win 600. Might be better buying a 1 year old more premium model, or just spending $50 more on a Steam Deck.
Do you know how to remap home button to steam home button instead of Xbox game bar ? Everytime I want to quit a game in big picture mode in windows 11 and press home button, it just shows up Xbox game bar. That is annoying
@@handheldgaming4life I just downloaded the Microsoft Keyboard Manager and remapped the shortcut Win+O into Shift+Tab. The problem is that it only works in game not in the home menu. If you want to make it work in home menu, you gotta remap it to Ctrl+1 but that won’t work in game.
i want the people saying this handheld is bad to point me to a better handheld for the price. i got mine for $12. all the "alternatives" i've seen are in the $40-60 price range.
And indeed that's what I do. I'd say the Anbernic RG35XX is a better device and the least expensive, but yeah its going to cost almost 3x the price but the difference is its totally usable and actually plays games at full speed. Next up my favorite the Miyoo Mini+. The new Anbernic RG35XX SP is already being discounted and its ok and also has a very nostalgia fueled look and feel. The Miyoo A30 might be a good buy too. All of what I've recommended are more expensive because there is nothing at the $12 mark that's any good!
@@handheldgaming4life maybe i'm not as much a snob as others, but i found that the frog was able to run whatever i wanted to play just fine. you say "and indeed that's what i do" when you literally admit you are unable to do that. if that's truly what you do, point me in the direction of something better than it. because for something that costs as much as a meal at mcdonald's the frog is pretty fantastic
I personally don't view games not running anywhere near full speed as snobbish. It's a core requirement of pleasant emulation. When games struggle to run at half fps and calling it playable is disingenuous at best and chasing clicks at worst. Maybe one day we will see a usable firmware one day but its been a long wait already.
@@handheldgaming4life maybe if that was actually the case, but it isn't. this thing runs games perfectly fine, are we using the same device? calling this thing bad and claiming it runs at less than half fps is disingenuous at best and chasing clicks at worst.
Worth watching the video in the link description. @cryobyte33 goes into detail on how much you should change and why. Going too high will just result in instant crashes, better to work your way up to a crash then dial it back a little.
Thanks for the video, I can't decide between this and the doogee t20 mini there is a big price difference between the two t20 mini being £60 cheaper. I will be using it for reading, web browsing and watching movies no gaming. Any opinions welcome.
Not sure for certain, but from what I can see the T20 mini is more of a competitor to Fpad I also reviewed. Which is a fine device for reading and basic media consumption but not a powerhouse when it comes to gaming.
