NonSteamLaunchers - Epic/Amazon/GoG on Steamdeck EASY! 

I also used Heroic. But as I was wiping my Deck I thought I'd give this new launcher a try. I can't say for certain, but I'd personally strip the games off before removing heroic just to avoid a ton of "other" content showing on the deck that you might not be able to delete.

But... I was wondering if I would lose my progress just in case I wanted to change gameplays between my steam Deck and my PC...

Yes it does cloud sync.... the games are correctly formatted to use the launcher in the background. What does that mean in layman's terms? It means letting the launcher do its thing as the makers/companies designed it to do, to sync your saves local/cloud and to allow you to play online multi-player on games only compatible if their easy anticheat allows on a game to game basis.

They don't appear in the steam library. They'll appear "non-steam" library on the deck. 8:54 info over how to add your downloaded games to the "non-steam" library. 👍

I'll check tonight. But when I made the video you. 1 install the launcher and go to game mode. Pick the games from Epic etc. install them. Go back into desktop mode and scan for games with non-steam launcher then go back to game mode and the games are in non-steam games area where you then change their icons of they didn't auto scrape. So it's strange its not working for you. Process might have changed though so I will go and confirm.

So I managed to test this yesterday, the Epic game wasn't showing, and it wouldn't let me scan for new games in desktop mode. Gave my deck 2 restarts and the game eventually showed it. I also noticed my Decky loader mysteriously had vanished, I'm thinking a recent Steam OS update had wiped that out and perhaps caused the weird issue with Epic games not showing right away.
