The latest Carrera's are all extremely impressive. Even the basic date 36mm ones are great. The Glassbox is one of the best chronos at its price point.
I really liked your review ! I purchased mine yesterday in Italy and while watching to the video I was unboxing my at the same time. Same model and color, I bought in an impulse and now watching to your video and I am very happy with my new watch. It was such a right decision, specially in black color
hello! its an off topic question but I notice the seiko presage, what a beutifull watch too... would you rather wear a presage or a tissot visodate white dial also?
🙋♂️I’m first in line to buy any of your collection Guille 😊. Wow the Oris could be really your one watch!! I’ve heard of this unicorn 🦄 situation within the watch community 😅
Hi mate 👋. Nice new addition 😊. Would be interesting to see what else if anything has come and importantly what has left the collection. Nice scenery. Enjoy the downtime 👍
@@johnrb9397 nothing has left yet but i’ve got lots of addition, just been really busy. :) And this Oris really is a unicorn! 4 months of using nothing but this oris is crazy. Even my wife noticed it, i just couldn’t take it off. Although, thinking of selling the other ones are as hard as taking off the oris from my wrist. 😂 i’m actually planning on having a rest from wearing my mechanical watches and just slap my apple watch on😂 I didn’t know that you one can experience burn out from having too many of the things you love😂😂😂 but anyway, which one in the collection are you interested in? 😂
@@gullie9004An Apple Watch!! 😳. I’ve said in the past that your collection is my favourite on RU-vid, so probably easier to mention what I’m not interested in 😅. If you do decide to sell something then reach out 😊.
If this is anti-magnetic then how did Cooper manage to send the signal on it through magnetic field anomaly? Lol...I freaking love the movie and the watch.
What did you end up getting? I really like the reverse panda version, its retro distinction wins it for me, but the blue looks so smart and will look great with smart attire!
Bought the Tudor watch last week. Outstanding in its simplicity and functionality. I wanted understated quality, no shiny polish. Perfect on all occasions. Thank you.
@@gullie9004 A tool watch is a watch that contains one or more complications in addition to telling the time. What does this watch do besides tell the time?
@@Mystery_Man84 exactly, it tells the time. It’s a tool for telling the time. Would you not call a screwdriver a tool ‘cause it only turns screws and nothing else?
Its not a poor mans Rolex, its a Mans Rolex. Tudor is priced how Rolex should be. There are not any poor men buying a $S3k ranger or $4k black bay. I have the Tudor Pelagos FXD and wore it for a good chunk of my military career. A proper tool watch. Don't down play the quality of a Tudor.
glad to hear the watch is now repaired to its proper state. TAG are a nice brand , entry level for the beginner who is likely to start a whole series of watch buying as with me , started with the connected E3 then a LTD F1 ASTON MARTIN redbull one of 999. im very happy with both. am now into IWC and OEMGA line. lovely its a nice hobby but can become a bit obsessive to !!!
I feel like even if you have that many watches, 12 on display is just extremely messy. I would say 6-8 is ideal. Also that many watches really isn't practical. You can't expect to wear all of them often enough to really justify keeping them
6-8 is also excessive, and i agree that there’s not enough time to really enjoy wearing all of them. But hey, i enjoy having and looking at them in the watch box. 😎
@@gullie9004 6-8 is definitely an amount you can realistically rotate through if you're active. Office, restaurant, formal, beach, hiking, etc... as well as different outfits all call for potentially different watches. But at 12 you're basically going to be realistically wearing some of them maybe once a month at best And at 12 it looks like you're opening a watch store instead of actually displaying anything
@@user-tx4wj7qk4t maybe that’s how you would do it, sometimes i don’t want to wear some of the watches and when i do, it’s there. And i like that i have a watch store, i don’t have to go out and buy them. Good thought! That’s my next goal now! I might build one of those display boxes that they have in boutiques on their walls. That’s be great! But i’d say, i pretty much wear all of them as i wear my watches even at night and sometimes i’d even swap watches within the whole day.
@@gullie9004 you're very pressed for a simple fact. Any girl you have over will think you're a nut if she sees that display lol Like you even said, most people think 6 is crazy
@@user-tx4wj7qk4t sure, if you think so. there’s plenty out there that you can buy. But i think, this is the best one. Micro adjustment is not really a problem for leather or rubber straps. It’s not necessary.
@@gullie9004 micro adjustment is necessary for actually getting a good fit especially on the fly adjustment as your wrist swells. This is just an overpriced veblen good like all of Artem. At least formex can justify the price by being significantly better and having a patent
@@user-tx4wj7qk4t i guess it’s different for everyone, ‘cause i’ve never had any problems with how it fits when i adjust it especially in the afternoon(which i rarely do)So, i don’t find it necessary. I think you wouldn’t even think about the micro adjustment if the price of Artem is cheaper. I haven’t tried the Formex strap that you’re mentioning, so maybe i’ll check it out too.
@@gullie9004 I’m a big fan of both good sir. I’ve been missing my Mountain Glacier Alpanist I once had and sold. It was a gorgeous lil watch. Always wanted the Ranger since it came out and will probably grab it in the future. I’ve been a G Shock guy in recent times. Various Squares, Rangeman, Frogman etc
@@briandorsey6437 ah, i love that one! Just couldn’t find where to get them on a fair price. If i ever find one, i won’t even hesitate. And the Ranger, it has it’s own beauty. The Alpinist and the Ranger are my top choices when travelling. I suggest you get the Ranger and i assure you, it’s the real rich man’s watch! It’s pure joy owning it. 👊
Wow that is a lot of nice strap combis. Did you by any chance try the Artem loopless strap on the original carrera glassbox deployment buckle? wonder if it would fit
I had one in green dial sold it like new .tag and longines make a lot of lookalike watches we rapidly get bored of them . The only tag i care about and could buy is the monaco blue otherwise all look like shit
I was planning on getting a Speedmaster but the newly debuted silver colored sun-ray burst dial Carrera Glassbox stole my heart. I am currently waiting for my local Tag dealer to bring it to test it on my wrist. I already own a Seamaster from Omega, maybe it's time to try something new. What is your opinion?
Tag is, without a doubt, especially the glass boxes, are amazing. And i’m biased with my sentiment ‘cause i own both. But if i don’t have them, i’d still get the speedmaster 1st. They’re almost on the same price range but the quality of the Speedmaster is at least 2-3 levels above the glassbox. Try them both on the same day, i’m sure you’ll end up with the Speedy. :)
Mine don't make that sound buddy seriously it could be that the rotor is loose, also trying winding it fully so the weight tightens up, again I just checked mine to make sure and it's a faint sound but when wounded even half it's not that audible
Well, comparing it to my speedmaster. You’re not wrong, the omega seems to have a better quality. Considering that they are almost the same price point.
@@gullie9004 I love the new direction Tag Heuer has taken in the last couple of years. But I'll still wait a few years; it seems they've reshuffled a few of their execs under the LVMH umbrella. Love this Carrera but the Carrera design is based on legibility; the fauxtina lume should be replaced and the hands should have a different color.
@@gullie9004 the irony lol. The Carrera was originally developed for ultimate legibility 😂. I always found that Japanese watch makers made better lume than the Swiss. No idea why.
@@originaltails01 it’s fine during the day, but i wear my watches at night and i just got used to the lumes of the Seiko,Omega, Tudor. So, this particular tag doesn’t get much night time wrist action😂 my aquaracer on the other hand was fantastic at night.
the case, dial, and bezel are beautiful. the 6R35 movement is a big let down for a watch at $1200.00 dollars. this price range affords an ETA or Sellita movement that's much more accurate and doesn't variate in different positions. This is my first and last Seiko.
