So you are telling me that Uyghur, with its millions of speakers inside and outside of China, its official status and at least some use in education, is "critically endangered", while languages with less than half a million speakers, no official status anywhere, no use in education, even no official writing system are just "vulnerable"? I can't take that seriously. "China bad", but come on, this is ridiculous. Could you separate your political opinions from actual sociolinguistic assessments? Should we categorize Kurdish as "critically endangered" because it's suppressed in Turkey?
9000 Turkish words in Serbian is an exaggeration. Maybe it's true if you count all the words used since the Ottoman occupation; many of them have fell out of use. I would say that the approximate number is about 3000, out of which around 1500 are very frequent.
Hi from Ardabil province of Iran. I think you forgot to mention that most of people that live in Southern Azarbayjan are aryans that only their language is turkic and not their origin, even our traditions and culture and genetics have close ties with Kurds, Lors, Persians, Tats, Taleshs and other Iranic groups. Keep going and make actual educational videos like this one. With lots of love.❤
Açılış töreninde Azerbaycan'a hakaret ettiler. Azerbaycanlı ve Kazak sporcuların bayraklarını göstermelerine izin vermediler. Bu Fransızca kelimeleri dilimizde görmekten nefret ediyorum. After the disgrace of the Paris Olympic Games and the French governments' restriction of Turkey and everything related to Turks, all these French loanwords should be removed from the current Turkish language. They insulted Azerbaijan at the opening ceremony. They did not allow Azerbaijani and Kazakh athletes to show their flags. I hate to see these French words in our language.
They were once denigrated and ostracized by extremists in Greece as 'Turkish Seed', and not only the Karamanlides, but also many other Turkish citizens of ancient Greek origin....We Greeks and Turks are very similar nations, and mostly cousins, with a common history from Byzantine and Ottoman times. With 1000 years of politics perpetuated by Emperors, Sultans, politicians and extremists, further separation will not benefit anyone, except for very well known countries
No wonder the poles decided the settle on the opposite side of the country when they migrated here (Yes I know there wasn’t as much tension then between the 2 yet at the time when the poles moved there, it’s a joke)
