Nothing in it for me. Not in my back yard. Didn't see anything. Sums up our politicians and MSM. Stay strong and keep up the good work Jack. cheers, Butch.
Forget logic and persuasion - these people are fanatics. You need to get government (the next one..) on side to enact legislation to pull the rug out from under these people.
These are so hard to watch.. it has to be the spring in the magazine. The wrong magazine. Or a feed ramp issue. I know this is seven months old and I hope this rifle has been retired or at least back up..
Sadly, most people have no idea what a hard slog it is being a farmer. We used to have a good number of polies, who came from the land. Now a days sadly no. You need to have the correct tools to do your job. Polies are just so woke theses days. They need to get real and look after the people and the country. Stay the course Jack. Best to the family.👍🇦🇺🙏
Jack do you think taking a 3 foot length of rebar bend a eye on one end for a strap to go through and make a sharp hook on the other to hook under the camels jaw for dragging them. Would that work better than tying them up with straps
This must have been a harrowing time for you both and others that were in a similar situation. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of you suffered with ptsd often such a cull. You have my deepest sympathy and respect.
Thank you for showing this, Jack. This shows your recent past work in a different light. You've been dealing with camels for many more years than the recent videos (2024) have shown. It baffles me that when presented with this proof, the brains behind the eyes still refused to see for those who could make it easier for you to manage this situation.
We used have the same problems with needing to kull game ie the elephant problem, we have to many to sustain life for all and any ones species people don’t understand until it’s in their back door .. the smell of blood in the heat is awful and trying to kill quickly to stop animals suffering I’m so sorry you have to do this but you have to put your family first
Thanks for this old footage. And happy to see the improvement of your equipment meanwhile. Totally speechless about the ignorance of your government... Such an unnecessary struggle just to be able to protect your farm and existence.
It is typical of Government Bureaucrats to say the camel problem is not that large, and then when you provide video proof of how large the problem is they refuse to accept the video as evidence, and turn down your request of financial help. The video also proves why you need a large calibre semi auto rifle, and that the Government Bureaucrats, so called 'Experts', and Police are wrong about what your needs are for controlling these pest species.
Hey Jack, I have heard in the past on previous vids that you have mentioned about this footage and spoken in length that it wasn't pretty. Me personally, it should be shown, as it shows that you and other land custodians are underpowered to comply with the task that you have to manage the land you uphold. " Hears a cap gun !!!, that'll move them on " To pop a feral with 5 rounds isn't economical in any accountants books, " what ya need 7 to put that big boy down !!!" Phhffft . I just don't get the local and state Gov that are calling the shots on something they Have No REAL idea about, If they were genuine, they would be riding shotgun with you !!!, I put it to them !!! " Better get another hobby " clearly the bloke that said that will eat his words and his mate that supports it !!! Great Vid Jack, i'm going to bed now cos I'm pissed off, rant over !!! Cheers Andy 🍺🍺🍺
Jack, I'm disgusted by the way our WA govt bury their heads in the sand when it comes to real world issues our farmers face. Your comment on providing the powers with be with real evidence of camel numbers and their denial sadly is proof. I'll be voting for the Shooters, Fishers & Farmers Party come the next election. Remember "nil illegitimi carborundum"
Jack is 100% right about how the heat absolutely drains you. The heat on its own is bad enough, but then to add intense physical activity, and lack of hydration, it’s more brutal than most people watching this will ever experience. If you’ve never experienced real heat stroke, where your piss is dark brown, and you’re constantly on the edge of greying out, you’ll never understand.
Without doubt your government will have seen how the USA are using mini guns from helicopters and vehicles and even 50 cal machine guns on their unwanted species, over the top shooting but its getting the job done. So, would the issuing of a limited number of FAL cal rifles to farmers in Australia be a problem, "No it would not"
It beggars belief that the government ignores the truth about needing suitable weapons to defend your cattle against feral. Hopefully, social media may help this situation.
What we need is a proper gun lobby. We need a national firearm association, which represents all farmers, hunters, and firearms enthusiasts. 2020-2021, the mask came off the government, and we found out why they organised port Arthur and took our guns in 1996.
When you next have a dead microwave oven, remove the magnetron and from that remove the two very potent magnets. If you place one of them near where you are drilling holes or threading they collect all of the swarf, making cleaning up easier and reducing any future rust problems. Industry hint. :)
