I was pretty close to going with the dp pro, it just wasn't in the budget at the time. I really like the selective reticle on the holosun as well. Only downside is the front sight isn't tall enough after adding the adapter plate to co-witness
@Reepa008 interesting. Thank you for commenting that. I'm certain if it happened to you, someone else has experienced it before. It could have just needed some oil or any number of things I guess. But this is the first I have heard of that. Also, I know the spring on the 320 is tougher than others. They recommend around 1k rounds threw it to break it in. With all the junk on mine while it being new. I had some troubles cycling it. So I switched to a lighter spring and it has worked out great ever since. I believe it was DPS performance or something along those lines.
I have been told by other more experienced and knowledgeable p320 owners as well as from vids from other gunTubers like yourself, to never release the slide from battery without a loaded and seated magazine, and that doing so can permanently damage the more fragile parts of the slide, (i.e. the firing pin, etc.). I don’t recall which creators video it was, but if my memory and logic serve me, the chambering of round provides the slide with needed resistance and protecting it from damage. I’m gonna go and try to find the video right now. Don’t trust me, you all should do the same. & Thank you for a great video by the way…
I have seen multiple things on if you should or should not. From the APEX trigger install video, directly from APEX talks about it. And since I have been doing it this way. I have not had a single issue with the pistol. I am not just letting it slam forward on empty all the time. I can't imagine the few times I do it per year after cleaning, it would cause any amount of damage.
Also thank you so much for leaving your comment. I truly appreciate the time you took to do that. I'm glad this video is helping so many Sig shooters get back at it.
Same thing with incorrect orientation of guide rod happened to me today. Was making me 😫😡. Serves me right not coming to YT first. Same stubbornness resulted in messing up on last new firearm reassembly too. I never learn😂…Thank you!
In regards to the oval part.. the holes need to be verticals but I noticed on that plate with the holes there is a small dimple on one side, does it matter which side it’s on? Does it matter? Or it doesn’t matter so long as the holes are vertical and not side to side I have the CA model if that matters?
Also, I just noticed you said you had the CA model. I'm not sure what kinda crazy stuff they do. I'm as far away from Cali as possible in GA. Sorry for the late response. Did you find anything else in your research, though?
@@caseysammobench yes I did the dimple placement is irrelevant it can be on either side it doesn’t matter however as I said before it does need to be placed vertical not horizontal it is to my understanding this dimple is just leftover from the manufacturing process nothing more
Good video! Knowing what I've learned after owning my Cattleman II for a few years, the first things I would have done is install the Wolff springs in it, and blue Loctite most of the screws. I found an ACP cylinder for it on the bay, and had my gunsmith fit it. It shoots great with ACP, maybe a little more accurate and definitely cleaner. It's a blast to shoot, but I most enjoy in while setting in my recliner and watching INSP. lol
I personally just want to say a massive thank you for showing the oval part having to be up and down... I kept running into the issues part, came here, saw that... and it got fixed... thank you so much
Just out of curiosity, has it occurred to you, to try to communicate to the viewer something interesting or useful? Sometimes shooting videos are so bad that they are funny. But in this case, you do not not rise to that level. You provide just boring nothing. Truly, the background sound of rifle report and the foggy scenery were more interesting to me than struggling to figure out wtf you are doing. Todd is shooting a bolt action rifle with a scope and his buddy went to deficate (take a dump). It took you 23 minutes to explain you had hand-loaded your loads, and it seems you had half-inch minutes of angle at 100 yards. But really, without you telling us what was your powder or your bullet weight, what the hell difference does it make to anyone what your bullet seating depth or powder weight was? I’ve been shooting rifles over 50 years and hand loading for over 15 years. You just wasted my half hour with nothing. When I die and go to heaven, and I am asked to account for my life, I will say that I am sorry I watched 30 minutes of Casey’s Ammo Bench. Forgive me, Lord.
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate that you strive to produce firearms content with an emphasis on hand loading. You have built a good foundation. And I look forward to seeing you communicate informative content.
@robertgrant3844 thank you. I understand it's not perfect. This is also a very early on video. I think at that time, and even now, I'm just trying to get used to being on the camera and getting content out there. I think that maybe your original comment was a bit harsh. But, I understand and want to do better. Especially once I retire and have the time to get better.
At this point I’ll rather just save for the Romeo pro 1 the holocaust with the plate is almost the prices these plates should be cheaper 120$ for a plate ? Hell no lol
When you go to take the fcu out. Make sure the safety is off, and you press in on the trigger as you rotate it out, lifting up on the rear of the FCU. Hope this helps. I had the same issue.
Am I the only one saying I wish that guide rod reassembly part was more descriptive. Such as the oval should be inserted tall vertical or sideways. A drawing or somw more close ups. I never saw a clear camera angle.
Just picked up my sig today, needed some help with the optic. Awesome I found f this video 🫡. Great help. Did you ever upgrade your trigger ?? Saw the other vid about you were going to add an apex trigger
I did upgrade it. I tried making an install video for it. But it sucked man. Apex has their own install video and it's amazing. No use competing with that. I thought about doing an update video. If that's something you would want to see. I've been almost non existent for a while because I'm a Drill Sergeant over here at Fort Moore. Any time I get off, I'm pretty much a zombie or working on house projects.
I always put the oval spring back in sort of like how you do a Glock. I always forget that the oval has the flat piece that goes flat against it. Thank you for this video.
It amazes me that people don't know RU-vid exists to take apart their firearms. It's people like you that save lost souls like them. Fantastic video man thanks for the help.
@user-rq2yk3rr6v this is my first apex trigger. I feel like it was a game changer on this pistol. I still suck at shooting but it's way more comfortable, lol
@user-rq2yk3rr6v lol, your right. I'm not that bad. I managed to qualify 31 out of 30 on my Army m17 qual multiple times. 31 targets pop up and you have 30rnds. I figured out that I can get a double kill on one of the iterations. I need to make an update video. But this Drill Sergeant life is taking up every bit of time I have. I have a wilson combat grip and a TLR8-G on it now. The laser is pretty sick.
Wow! Those are really nice looking. One of these days I'll be able to get back to the channel. I'm a Drill Sergeant in the Army right now and this job is definitely a personal time killer. I appreciate you letting me know about these pistols!
Dude, it took dang near a week of watching videos to find out what the issue was and none said anything about it for like 20min. It's what prompted this video. I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave the comment
I have adjusted my attitude towards snakes as of late and now do my absolute best to ensure their safety. Even though they terrify me still. I'm sure my fear of them is only a perceived fear of getting bit. A lot of it was up close shock from the rattles and them striking at me while hunting in MT. I appreciate your comment and view of the video and just wanted to let you know that I do consider and value their life regardless of any past action taken.
Np. Glad it helped and thank you very much for stopping to leave a comment. It's been a long time since I have pushed a video out due to the insane amount of work being a Drill Sergeant. But this video is pretty much carrying my channel right now and I can't wait to make more.
Haha, I can assure you that no children were harmed in the making of this video. I should have put that disclaimer on there. He just really wanted in the room but would be quiet at all, so I locked the door.
I'm not too sure of the comparison. From what I understand, Bergara stopped making 24in barrel .308 HMR a while back. I'm not sure if they started making them again, but I do know there is no issue with the 20in reaching 1k yards. I have pushed the range to 1,035 yards with 168gr federal gold medal bthp. Hope this helps and thank you for the comment.
Muchas gracias.
Be aware if you live in CA there’s a mechanism in the mag well you have to engage to pull the trigger back and get the FCU out. Hopefully that saves some frustration 😅
Ya, definitely ended up past that point. I did the loctite about a year before I made the video. I take the gun through a lot of hell and just choose not to replace them.
