@bl4z3pupz if the screen is not responding via touch, I'd suggest trying to plug-in a USB mouse to the fridge and try the factory reset. Hopefully, this reset will regain the touch capability. Just know you will lose all configurations currently stored. Let me know how this works out.
@@BDTube2006No problem man and if you got multiple notifications under this comment it’s because RU-vid randomly deletes my comments for no reason but I subscribed too bro.
@ianntharoseberry7508 thank you for your question. Is your screen still not responding even after using the switch? If not, then you can also plug in a USB mouse (or Bluetooth mouse) to navigate the screens that way. Keep me posted!
@@yesyquinn878 I would suggest hooking up a wired (or Bluetooth) mouse. This will allow you to navigate with the mouse vs. using the touch screen. Keep me posted!
Good night. The Refrigerator screen does not turn on. I already turned it off and turned it on again and it won't turn on. In this case it could also be factory reset, excuse me? Aid!
Greetings--I'd recommend removing the power at the breaker (or unplugging). Let the unit stand for one (1) minute, then restore the power. If the family hub screen does not come back on (stays blank--no image, no icons, etc.); then you may have a faulty board/monitor and may require repair.
You just saved me almost $700-$1000! My screen was blank but with icons on the bottom. Nothing worked... until your secret menu 10 second trick! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!
As being on budget with ongoing life and some things that I been dealing with! In 2019, in glad and grateful that I ended up with a Beretta 92fs Italian made in 2018 which works very good!
hi there I have received few emails regarding family hub refrigerator. and tried with mouse to reset the factory setting. and I have done that but still touch screen not working.
So your screen is unresponsive to touch even after the factory reset? I'm curious if you are experiencing the inoperative user interface failure. A Samsung service ticket may need to be created.
@@BDTube2006 i did all these steps and this was happing off and on when i bought new from store what else can i do besides having Samsung wanting to charge me more money for something that was not working to begin with? Thank you
I have tried to switch it off and back on but my touch comes back on but it won't let me do anything. so basically touch not working. any suggestions plz do let me know 🙂
Okay--not a problem! Go back to the area where the switch is that turns the screen ON/OFF. In this area, you will see a USB port along the side. Plug in a wired USB mouse and cursor will appear. Now you can navigate to the settings via the mouse and factory reset your device. Keep me posted! Good luck!
@fflunited8181 yea, I didn't want to go down the rabbit hole with the Bluetooth adapter (just in case others are reading) trying to keep it simple, but you got! Well done! Glad you're up and running!!
To extend the screen's life, it's set up to automatically turn off. It's preferred to have the screen shut off to not "burn" statix graphics into the screen. However, you can keep the cover screen ON for up to two (2) hours before the screen shuts off. Unfortunately, there is not an option to leave the screen ON (all the time). To change/extend the screen time, go to Settings, under the Display settings, you can turn ON "Cover screen". The cover screen is the screen saver graphic before shutting OFF). You can change the cover screen duration from 2 minutes to 2 hours. If you turn OFF cover screen, then you will see the option for "Screen Turns OFF After" which is only between 1 to 5 mins.
Thanks for this video! I opened mine to replace the carbon filter. I could not replace the filter because there was nothing to replace😂. 10 years without lol. I bought a 6 pack of filters will see if it even makes a difference.
The default pin is 0000; however, if that does not work, then click the link at the bottom of the number pad, "Forgot your PIN?"; this will walk you though the step to recover your pin. Once you have your pin, you can then go back to the Security Settings and disable security pin if you no longer want it enabled.
@@iliya2560 Ahh, then your only option is to do a factory reset. You'll have to goto that "secret menu" to reset the fridge. This menu bypasses all settings--simply follow my steps in the video --> 3:48 That should take care of it.
@iliya2560 it seems the hub didn't register your press and hold if the text "no applications" showed up or you released too early. Try it again, and make sure your finger doesn't come off the screen. Continue holding the applications icon until you see the secret menu pop-up (approx. 10 seconds). I get the "no applications" prompt if I press and hold and release before the menu is displayed, so I suggest trying to hold a little longer. If your screen isn't registering your press and hold, you may want to reboot the screen by using the switch method--this will recalibrate the screen for you, then try again. Hopefully, it was only an issue of not holding the icon long enough. If that doesn't work, please tell me what model fridge you have--typically, there is a label on the side of the fridge, located at the bottom.
You're welcome. Was having lingering cooking smells which led me to your video about filter changing. I opened my Samsung on top and NO filter at all! The knuckleheads from Home Depot installed my Microwave without a charcoal filter! Anyway, got a perfect fitting inexpensive Botna filter on Amazon. Thanks again!
I chose my CZ P10f over the Taurus PT92. 5.1 inch barrel, 4.5lb trigger with an almost instant reset, night sights, under rail and 21 rd mags out of the box. 32 rd Pro Mags. The price difference was about $200 less than the Taurus.
Thank you kindly, I’m so thankful I came across your video. We’ve had our Microwave up for more than a several months. Just noticed my filter light is on. We have the same model MW. I would like to ask you a serious question please. Does the top portion of your MW tilt forward approx 1” (or so)? I’m assuming this is so I can access the screws in order to get to the Charcoal Filter easily.
Thank you for the comment, I'm glad you found value with this video. As far as the top, my unit doesn't really "tilt" forward; however, the unit does protrude outwards (as you mentioned for access to the filter housing).
@@BDTube2006 I appreciate your reply more than you know. Thanks so much. You’ve gained a new follower 😊 As others have said, you really do a fantastic and thorough job walking us through. I now have a clean Charcoal Filter, in part thank to you. YAY!
My touchscreen stopped working. Was out of warranty. Samsung wanted $200 in call fee and labor + parts. This screen is around $950. You would be better buying a new fridge. I managed to get a salvage screen off EBay for $245. Last time I will buy something like this, too many things can go wrong and expensive fix.
You are quite welcome! Unfortunately, I do not have an install video. However, I wish I did as I would have installed this much cleaner than the previous installation :D whoever install this setup butchered my cabinets--Ha!
@BDTube2006 because the dust cover is straight on frame. Italian made 92fs have slanting dust cover. US made m9 have straight cover. This one has straight cover. I am 99% sure that its USA made m9.
After 4 minutes ON, the screen goes black, completely off, It won't make any move, It keeps happening even after the manual reboot over and over, I really don't know what to do 😞 I mean, I can't even finish listening to one song, please help me 😢
Well played! I thought it was odd that the longer pieces just sit in the channel without any other adhesive--it made for an easy install, just strange.
First diagnosis step would be to check the battery life of each of the TPMS sensors (typical lifespan is approx. 5-10 yrs). Any "dead" TPMS sensors will require a replacement for each dead sensor. If all TPMS sensors are showing a healthy battery status upon scanning, but you you still have a low pressure dash light, make sure all tire pressures matched the sticker on the driver's side door frame (this will give you the exact pressure that is programmed into the module). Make sure you relearn the pressure that you set it to (the little button under the dash). If those fail, then I would move on to the TMPS Receiver.
Excellent!!! I am amazed that the Samsung installation guide “DOES NOT” mention anything about the tabs and placing the filter at an angle. I thought there was something odd when I placed the filter in the “FLAT” position as illustrated in the actual Samsung installation guide. Thank you for post this video …..
The screen was stuck on updates where it shows 15-20 minutes. It was stuck there for the whole day. I had to reboot the screen then start the updates. That worked for me!
4:47 I beg to differ. Piece of cheap plastic that's easy to break. Putting it back is more of a pain. Samsung could've also provided a couple years worth of charcoal filters. Stick w/ smartphones & TV's. I don't mean to complain. Thanks for demo as Samsung included a manual for a completely different model in my box.
Thank you for the comment. If you're changing the blower configuration, I would unplug it. However, for filter changes, you do not have to unplug the microwave.
