I use spray outs alot with sikkens and when I have to do what you did I do a spray out of the new formula I’ve made and right down what I added or left out for next time
I wish I could do this every time but unfortunately the company I work for wouldn't go for it. Plus I don't think it's necessary for most colors but that one yeah.
Thanks Brian. This help me with the question from previous video for color matching on painting the door. For multi-color tri-coat paint with 2 different basecoat and midcoat colours how do we blend with existing panels so it would match with color on existing paint as the addition midcoat paint over existing paint would make the color darker and visible between new paint and existing paint.
My Opinion is, if you got some tough colours which are hard to match. I woulld cut out a small piece of the demaged part and send it to your technical specialist. So they can creat a new variant for you. Greetings from Germany
Still rocking the first shirts stickers and keychain.... ill definitely grab a shirt or 2.. 👑 Brian... was mario there for the dv1 knockoff video? He gonna review the guns as well?
Thats why i love the channel. Its more of a backyard mechanics oriented. Kandyman is more of a pro oriented thats why I've stopped watching him. Not only you show how to spray with LVLP but you show it in old style booth thats not a downdraft. I want to build an insulated brick gararage with crossdraft ventilation. 3phase industrial electric heater before the intake filters when painting the the winter. Water-mist barrier chamber in the exhaust ducting to take all the paint smell off trap them in water mist and pump them in a waste container. So i can paint freely without the neighborhood knowing. They would think im doing brakes and suspensions work.
I wanted to say thank you for all if your videos and time you put into these Videos. Ive been a subscriber for over a yr and because of you i just painted my 2020 Infiniti qx80 Sonic blue and it came out Beautifully. And i owe it all to you and Trigger Man!!! Thank yall so much
Dang I wish I could spray like you. It's not easy to achieve a great result but your skills are shining again here. Thanks for all your videos Brian, it's much appreciated down here in little old New Zealand. 🙏🏿👍🏻
Is it that you can't do full walk threw with clear coat because your using a low velocity gun? And you need a high velocity gun since your going to move faster and need more product being shot out? Just wondering.
With problem colors we send them to the BASF for them to do the color correction. 9 out of 10 it's a great match. I would see if your manufacturer offers this. Great video
Thank you Brian, for all the time and money you put into your videos! One question and anyone can chime in on this. I am painting a race bike with Rust-oleum Professional High Performance Gloss Black and would very much appreciate what mixing ratio and ball park air pressure would be a good beginning? I am using Acetone to thin and a basic hardener. I'm using a cheaper HVLP spray gun. I'm in northern Nevada and the air here is wonderfully dry. I am 69 years old and I build high performance motorcycles, but..... I have never used the spray gun and I am a newbie to painting. I'm already handicapped being 69, so a little help would be very much appreciated - thank you!
@@richardbartlett4075 1:4 (20% acetone 80% paint). You can use Xylene if it's really hot out to retard drying a little. Same ratio. If you thin above 20% the paint will run and dry blotchy.
Thats what I said^^^^^^Been at the same place over 30yrs, & got quite a library of sprayout cards. That and constantly tinting colors is the only way i make it though these jobs. Cameras, color chips, sprayouts, all tools to help you. write it down, cause if the car is damaged again, you have a reference without starting from scratch.
Thought you had loss weight, well done you, im trying to, on weight, if get t- shirt will help me paint cars like you 😂 Brian Your amazon doesn't ship to the UK 🤦♂️🫤
