My name is Viv! I'm by no means an expert angler but I am a girl who, along with her epic dog, tries really hard to catch fish. Whether it's off the rocks, in the surf or river with bait or lure I try my luck at them all. I started "out-fish-her" so that I can share my expeditions with you, to promote conservation of South Africa's amazing recreational fishery, to show you how beautiful and complicated the lives of these fish are... and to promote female angling! #fishlikeagirl :P
I love to share my facts and general knowledge about all things fishy - if you have any requests or questions feel free to ask by following me on Instagram and sending me a DM @vivdames
Great Video's I love ❤them Healthy Estuary despite the pollution which was Zandvlei estuary down fall poaching and pollution , I grew up fishing Pe from 1979 to 1983 while I was in high school I cannot wait to return to SA and retire and just fish
I truly believe that when a certain spices is threated there should be a no take policy for a good number of years and shorten the season for that speices
I know the Zwartkops like the back of my hand, fished it for over 40 years - my Uncles before me. Your presentation is a joy and its nice to see Skulpespruit still so productive. The upper reaches look bleak though, thanks for showing the whole story. Brickfields used to be prime Skippy waters, even up to the Uitenhage weir i remember catching 10kg+ leeries and close on Skippies. Love your work, keep it coming please
Love that brak of yours❤ and thanks for the knowlage on handling sharks such a emportaint part of the ecosystem and often misunderstood and disrespected by anglers, thanks for what you guys are doing here we need more of this.❤
You keep the Kob that are just over size : The Breeding stock : Are the fish that have the biggest impact upon increasing the Kob Biomass. Why ? Because they spawn each year: Releasing millions of eggs. Besides : Big fish flesh will have accumulated a lot of toxins and position
Don't keep any, dear fellow anglers please evolve we can't keep them and keep catching them into the future. Kob stocks are 10% of what they were in the 1980's let that sink in they are on the edge every fish you kill is critical for the species survival
Fantastic message: I live in South Australia and have fished for Mulloway (Kob) for more than 35 years. I have caught plenty of them, I can count on one hand how many of these beautiful creatures I have kept. I spend a crazy amount of money on vehicles and tackle. My mates don't understand why I spend so much money and time and don't keep more fish. For me its not about putting fish on the table. Mulloway fishing is many many hours, long lonely hours of trying to outwit the greatest surf fish on the planet its the thrill of the catch and when I win I have a big silverfish at my feet. A picture will last forever.
What a great video and looked far easier than what it is . I am intrigued to know what month and tide . I would guess around April , May and looks like a neap tide?
I am only starting to catch fish in the acean and truely love it. I have only one 12ft rod with a fun tackle reel 😂 and do my best with it, i have cought a few bronze breams with it an a lot of cob. I have always wanted to catch a cracker and if i can win such a fishing rod, it will truely make it easy for my dream to come true. Would also love to have a day fishing with the two of you. You two have the best vibe ever that i have seen. 🤣 Please keep it up🥰 #assissinangler #assassinhappiness
