This one felt easier, after following through and repeating your last ones I think a heavier weight might be in order 😮

Thank you Gary, loved this one. It's funny how you get to the second round and suddenly the sweat comes! I started out on a 6kg having never done anything like this before but think I'll need to up it to something a bit weightier!

Hi Gary, I know im 2 years too late. Just bought the exact same shoe. Did they end up being a good shoe? I tried a pair of cheap Merrell & paid the price after 180km, barely walk by the end of it. 😂

Hi , it’s not meant for the wrist so it wouldn’t fit there 👍🏼

I am getting back into exercise and Gary's approach is really helping me to stay motivated and feel as though the session is worthwhile. I can be quite competitive and overdo things, but Gary's videos are helping me to keep that in check and focus in the movement and not injure myself.

Enjoyed this car park rendezvous. Probably needed a heavier weight for some of the exercises but struggled with the kettlebell pull. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks.

The step up in kettle bell weights seems to great on some exercises. I use kettle bells at local gym. Are there any additional precautions etc we should consider if we use dumbbells

Great stuff this one - i found the heel taps and knee holds easy. Is it ok to add some kind of lift or extra movement into those? Might just be a tight bastard and need a heavier bell! Thanks!
@GaryHouseCoaching
@GaryHouseCoaching 2 месяца назад
Nice one! If you’re ceiling is high enough you can add a press into the knee hold so that you need to work harder to be stable , with the heel taps you can try a straighter leg but be cautious of that curve in the spine 👍🏼 …. Sometimes with this Core stuff it’s not about being too difficult through it all we just want to challenge it overall 💪🏻

I appreciate your honesty so much. I am am almost 4wks into a bad tibial plateau fracture and 2wks post surgery...I've got a plate and several pins. I likely have torn ligaments in my knee as well. Had to fix the break first. I broke it during a fall mountain biking. It was 2 days after a 25k trail race, I just started getting into ultra running last Spring, so to find out I may never run again has been quite upsetting. I generally spread my time betweent mtb, running, swimming, kayaking, and weight training. So, running isn't my only outlet, but running has been my go to for over a decade. It requires less planning, I can just go outside. I am hopeful it will come back in time. I am 44 and a mom, so it is especially difficult for me to slow down and depend on others to do all the things for me. I keep buying concert tickets for the fall, something else that brings me joy, so looking forward to those! Thank you for making me laugh this past year and inspiring!

Followed you on instagram for about two years now! In December I’ve got some serious lower back pain, one flare up later in January and i went to a MRI scan that showed herniated disc in L5/S1, so then just walked, doing some elliptical and tried som light lower back exercises. Slowly got better and at Easter the pain just went away. Started running 1 K at a time, in April. now at 8 K a week. No pain while running, but some days we better some worse. Can wake up with some nerve discomfort in left pinky toe but nothing more down the leg or tigh. And feeling more “connected” with the muscles in the left leg now. The last thing is that I tend to get very sore in the groin area the day after every strength training and run. Do you think it’s to early for me to get on the running bandwagon again or is it okay to do short runs 3 k, don’t want this to be a chronic injury at 32 years of age. Long read, but your journey back from your injury has been a true inspiration in a long winter up here in the north… 😅

Thanks!! Im very wary of giving out advice on the subject really mainly for the reasons I mention in the video … each case is different , I’m just a coach / runner with lots of experience not an expert in this stuff. My own experience? I herniated the same disc and if it wasn’t for the fact it broke off and damaged the nerve so much I would be back running now … I can cycle pretty hard again and I’m always in favour of pushing limitations a little. I did an ankle rehab video a few years ago that might help you with proprioception and also check out David Grey rehab who I have been learning from a lot - keep up the recovery 💪🏻

@@GaryHouseCoaching Thanks for your answer, will check them out! Didn’t know you literally broke it off, sounds rough! Some dark moments indeed these last months, but you get to appreciate your stubbornness much more when you see small results turn into big ones! Keep up the good work and you’re running up those welsh hills again soon!
