In Islam, the spouses are encouraged to look good for each other at home, smell nice, be clean and dress in a manner pleasing to their spouse! Specifically for the woman she’s obligated to hide her beauty by staying away from adornments when in public and leaving the most beautiful side of her for her husband and close family to see only. It’s Beautiful as it shows who truly is deserving of seeing that beauty!
My problem is I choose to do certain cleaning because I feel if I do it’ll get done to my liking but I can easily feel like a maid if I’m sweeping, washing dishes etc. multiple times a day. My children are expected to keep their rooms up and they rotate each week on cleaning their bathroom but I do everything else which is exhausting and I still can’t keep a clean house.
I enjoyed your home tour and how your home actually looks lived in. I have children of younger age and it’s extremely hard to keep my home in order. Other home tours don’t make me feel any better because it’s always aesthetically pleasing. I love that you show your home as is with your family. Its super relatable 😊

I think you need proper fire escapes for the bedrooms in the basement, windows that allow the children to get out safely if necessary- no judgement, just saying🙂

2 dishwashers is a game changer. My Mom was a single Mom and built our mini mansion. It really helped having multiple appliances throughout the house, especially the dishwasher! It’s so efficient at keeping dishes clean, and I like unloading a dishwasher, so fun to me! It was just me and Mom but she was an engineer and I was glad to be the only one, like a Richie Rich kid! Childhood was fun in a big house! Even though periodically, I kinda wished I had siblings and a Dad so congrats to all your family! God’s blessings are definitely upon you! Use it for His Glory! ❤
I’m not a mom, actually I’m just 16 years old but I think these videos are kinda inspiring and it shows me how if somthing is hard I can get through it because i can’t even imagine how hard it was on you mentally and physically to have 17 kids, I’m so proud of you girl keep doing what you have to do!

Also, I’m wondering if the same rule applies to the female/girls in your household? Another question when you’re donating or getting rid of clothes, do your kids help in that process? I also wonder if you and your spouse follow the same standards in terms of clothing limits? I was also really curious if you’d be willing to share what sort of religion you follow or specific kind if you don’t mind me asking.
I know this video is three years old, but your kids are married at 20 and 22. I know people who are married at that age, but we’re still developing and growing and figuring out who we are at that time so I don’t think it’s a good idea unless it was their decision.

I love tip number 5, I love the idea of telling kids their budget & allowing them to shop/browse online to stay within that budget. This is empowering for them when it comes to their decision-making & is so good for their growth.
