I don't have the traditional pantry. I have a wall of cupboards with deep shelves so I had to figure out how to fit everything and be able to access it all easily. I use multipurpose bins from the Container Store that work awesome! I also installed pull out drawer shelves for my dry foods in airtight containers.

That’s a huge pantry! We’re only a family of two, but I cook a lot. I’d love a pantry that big! I’d never had to go searching into the black whole again!

I’ve always found food to be a really good price in the USA. Food is very expensive in New Zealand… I’m not sure many here could afford to feed a family of 17. I spend about $200 a week on food just for myself 🙈 Would love to see how you meal plan for the week and what a weekly shop is like, including budget 👍🙂

Do you save money on groceries each month? Do you meal plan? I have found that even with a much smaller family that I save a great deal of money on a monthly basis by keeping everything organized. What I have found is that I will only purchase the few items needed for a particular recipe (if I need a particular item for a specific recipe. Also, just like you, I only restock instead of getting in the store and purchasing everything that I know I use.

How did you know how many bins and what sizes you needed for the canned goods? Do you purchase and store dry goods like sugar, flour, rice? I have some of the large 5 gallon buckets with sealing lids that you might like (will give to you) if you would like. Would love to see how you plan meals and cook for such a large family. What is your menu like? Thanks for sharing....makes me want to give you some of my unused or little used items....that I don't need.

Instead of spending money on a cricut, search “packing tape label”. Life changing!!! You just need a normal printer, normal paper and packing tape!!

I would love to see a video tour of your cold storage room. I'm a mom of 12 and we're about to move to a home with a cold storage room, which will serve as a long-term food storage and safe room. I love this video 😍 I'm going to work on my pantry today. We changed our failing laundry system about a month ago and used your strategy and it's been amazing. My 12 year old can now do his laundry all by himself. Even my little boys love when it's their laundry day. Thank you for saving my sanity.

Nancy, I just found your channel and it has been a huge blessing for our family! Would love to see more videos, specifically your cold storage room, meal/menu planning, chores and home management, the Dave ramsey for large families, your community laundry and if you have a wash system for that, and would love to know how y’all stay on top of dishes in your home! Lovely. In labs we use bins with lids for smaller chemicals or for chemicals that can damage the surface if they spill. This is really useful when there are earthquakes or floods and you can move chemicals away really fast. I suggest this principle also for DIY, colours, varnishes, biocides. You can put together: -acids and bases, -all biocides -organic solvents, varnishes, paints -grease and oily sprays And don't forget to open windows and doors when you are working with easily evaporative substances.

Cutting machines are nice, but what's wrong with a simple Brother (or other brand ) label maker? They're cheaper and faster to use. Under $40 and it can be kept in a pantry, or thrown into a bag, moved to where you need it.
