Es cierto que la empanada se hace en muchos lugares, pero sólo en Chile, se rellena con pino, carne picada o molida, eso la hace única...aunque capaz, que ahora haya cambiado. En otros países las rellenan con otros productos. Además, tú lo sabes, en Chile se ha consumido preferentemente el día domingo...ahora, es en cualquier día, aunque en Provincia se mantiene como de costumbre. Países con arraigada costumbre en Asados, Uruguay, Argentina y Chile, faltan motivos para prepararlo...lejos los tres! Un gusto recibir tus vídeos, me encantó el de London...te envidié con toda mi alma! Que bello está tu hijo...nuestro mini compatriota! Chile is the main producer of berries. Strawberries are originally from Chile! Chile produces cranberries for the USA, like Ocean Spray. Blueberries are produces in huge amounts in Chile, raspberries etc.

I loved this video Jon! so well made congrats on the editing, excellent job!👏🏻 Being born and raised in Chile, is difficult not to love all the Chilean food you mentioned, but traveling and living in a few countries, I do have other favorites; arepas in Venezuela, paella in Valencia, Spain, fish and chips, gyros (although not native), T-bone here in the US, and a great hamburger with palta! But marraqueta is the Queen of the breads!👸😎😊. Watching your videos with so much richness in culture and food, an American TV series comes to mind, that I thought you could do in Latin America. The series is called "Somebody feed Phil" and is available in Netflix. I saw all chapters and absolutely loved them. Phil Rosenthal is a little bit like you, he loves everything and enjoys everything.

@@JonGrossGringo Hello Jon! Right now it's cloudy with a bit of fog (an hour after noon), the last two weeks have been crazy with heavy rain almost every day! Can you believe it? Nothing common in Linares, but the city resisted well, the streets were full of water but after the rain stopped they dried out. We are expecting light rain next Thursday but nothing like the last two weeks, we haven't had a chance to see the mountains from the city because they are still covered in clouds but I'm pretty sure they are full of snow. Roads to mountainous places like Guaiquivilo, Pejerrey, Embalse Ancoa, and Paso Pehuenche are likely closed due to heavy snowfall, but will surely be beautiful once the roads are open. During the rain the temperature was not very low, as usual, but now that it is not raining, the cold has arrived and it is normal to reach 0ºC. Two hours later the clouds have gone and I can confirm that the mountains in front of Linares are covered in a thick layer of snow, I think this may last until October. I always look at the mountains to see if the snow is thick or thin, and, in this case, it's a lot of snow. Greetings!
Hi Jon! Hope you had a great father's day! I almost agree with your list but i didn't like the arepas at all. I tried the venezuelan kind and it was not nice. I stick with the pastel de choclo from my chile, a great bife chorizo with chimichurri from Argentina and a Pescado a lo Macho from Peru, and let's put Mexico with the Tacos al Pastor and the Enchiladas Rojas. How dare you say you don't like arepas. hahaha! I like your list as well!!! I really struggled not putting the tacos al pastor in the top list. I do love them but I've learned how to make them in our house so they're not as special as before. I do love them though!!!! Great list!
