Ellie, what are you doing in that bloody place? In Australia, when you are at a place where you have to go outside to have a piss, we call that free camping. Even some of our free camps have modern lockable toilets and running water. Perhaps if you tried not to live like a Hobbit, it may have been a bit more enjoyable for you. I’m not one that goes renting cabins when I’m driving and travelling. It was only when I went travelling down south in Chile, I stayed in budget accommodation. And that was a boarding house type thing with lots of friendly people. I have camped out hundreds of times on my own and not been spooked by anything. Then again, I tried to watch Lord of the Rings once And I found it absolutely boring as shit, so I stopped watching. I look forward to the day when you go free camping in your car, without stressing about anything. I would have taken my laptop and my hard drive full of TV shows and movies to pass the time away. It seems there is nothing else to see around there. So what is the point of having a hobbit house there and not have anything else to do? Not even a lake full of bird shit that you can swim in! I hope your next adventures are a little bit more successful, but to be honest, I did have a little laugh at your boredom. Why would you pay to be bored? Soon, your weather is going to turn from shit, to absolute shit because here, the wildflowers are starting to bloom, which means it is almost spring. For me, that also means one thing. Chronic bloody hayfever. My eyes have been itchy for a week, even though we are in the middle of another storm at the moment. In fact, right, this very minute, it is pissing down with rain, but not enough to wash the pollen in the air away. I guess we are lucky, because even though it rains, we are still getting maximum between 18 and 23°. Anyway, it’s time to get my arse out of bed, have a coffee and then who knows? Maybe go for a drive in the storm! Or maybe I will just go back to bed. As usual, lots of❤❤❤❤❤ from beautiful Perth, Western Australia, where our beach sand is white and we don’t have any uncomfortable stones to sit on that will end up in your arse crack.

Thought it would be a bit more private, being a hobbit house in the middle of the forest. You do not expect people poking around while your staying there. Would have pissed me off. Congrats for staying as long as you did .

If only you had looked in the creepy cupboard, you would have found scissors and frying pans 😂 just looked on the site and it does look a little more inviting than your experience 😮 I need a decent mattress so I can sympathise 😊 a nice woodburner would be nice but I guess being made of straw bail that's out. I'm a fan of changing my mind. Sometimes you don't know how you feel until you're actually in the middle of doing something. Sometimes I'll stick something out, but what's the point of being bored/miserable? Don't feel bad you left, I probably would have as well. Honestly, while I do enjoy traveling solo and 9 times out of 10 it's great, there are just some things that work better with other people around. I think it was an awesome place to visit and would likely have left after one night, too! 😊
This was so funny. I must admit roughing it, although fun! Some amount of comfort these days seems more appealing. I want to stop in a log cabin with a roaring fire in the snow in the .middle of nowhere. I'm with you, though, on my own I think I'd wig myself out 😂
