Nice! Always great when you figure out a problem and even better when it’s that simple. It’s funny, I don’t remember seeing snow last time I went to Mexico 😂
We had a Grand Marqui. Very similar to crown vic. Our fuel pump went bad and it was inside the fuel tank. The mechanic made a trap door under the rear seat to access the fuel pump without dropping the tank. Seems like nothing is simple anymore. Good job showing that filter change.
I gotta say, that car looks pretty clean underneath for a northeast car. Glad it was an easy fix for you for a change. Those crown vic's can easily go for 400 X plus miles They used those as New York city cabs for years. Lots of guys here in Connecticut still use them. They just usually rot because of the brine they use on the roads in the winter. Car sounds real good! And they ride nice too. Thanks for the video.
I saw you going after that filter and said, "need a special tool for that". Then you grabbed the kit. Lol If you try to wrench that and you'll twist the lines. Learned that from a buddy who found out the hard way.
Yeah I'm not sure if the larger stuff was getting washed down from the lift arm or not. I did clean the tank out in November cause the sock was completely caked up.
The white clip on the inlet side of the fuel filter doesn't need to come out to remove that line. You push it in perpendicular to the line itself and then you're able to disconnect it. Save yourself the $6 on the dorman clips the next time you change it.
Getting crap like that past the fuel pump means the sock on the pumps shot unless you replaced the pump & sock in the last few years ! Oh my that animal looks hungry !
