I completely caved to the hype in Genshin and have characters I’ll never use… I’m trying my best to not do that in HSR. I’m doing a great job of that in WuWa though haha
My goal is to be able to tackle endgame content like, Forgotten Hall, Pure Fiction, Apocalyptic Shadow and the Divergent and Simulated Universe with characters I like. I'm sure I'll get far since some of those character will be meta like pretty almost solid Firefly Breaker Team. Going to make 4 Main team eventually: Super Break, DOT, AOE (Erudition), Follow up Teams. I'll try adapting to the meta, but if some people can clear high difficulty content with characters they like, I'm sure I can as well.
Try using Feixiao with Bonajade, March 7th, and Aventurine. It is a bit unconventional but holy hell... that team is so fun to watch and so friendly to SP and gear investments~
who will watch an hour long video on hsr relics? well a lot of ppl apparently :) i really like your approach and view on things, and i am super motivated to improve my relics now :D
Six months ago I watched your video and created a small document on my phone with my goals in HSR. Since then, I've successfully created two teams, one around Firefly and another around Robin. I got Feixiao early, very suspiciously lucky... I love these teams so much, I even managed to clear the Apocalyptic Shadow with 12 stars! Next, I'm going for either Lingsha or Silver Wolf, or both if I'm lucky. SW is my favorite character and I've lost on both her banners historically... So I've saved 160 tickets for her specifically and everything else goes to Lingsha. After I have these, I might go for Topaz and some eidolons for my characters. Looking good. Previously, I was playing Asta on an offensive set and I didn't have a set main DPS at all. But now she's thriving with Firefly and I didn't have to abandon her, just change her set. She deals a lot of Super Break damage too and I'm happy. Thanks for inspiring me to clean up my account!
i was on the verge of giving up on hsr because i was getting kind of bored. then came yunli. she is so fun to play. now my current goal is to have the best built yunli and teams around her and to later invest in her vertically. will i get other characters? probably. but my tier list is yunli first, yunli teams second. everyone else third.
I wish echoes didnt exit. They annoy me in the game and to farm for them😢 so I focus on make my charas just strong using random echoes, which I think have cool fight style.
There's one really important thing: playing FuA with Feixiao is really really fun! Like probably the most fun I've had playing Star Rail since the dawn of DoT.
12:20 My bunch of "half-made" teams destroy every single endgame content with cheaper cost too unlike the much more expensive vertical investment. Whats funny is that usually vertical investment people tend to make a lot of excuses and over-explain whether to pull or skip just like you lmao
Honestly, I'm pretty lucky Feixiao came out this patch. If she wasn't running alongside Kafka and Black Swan when I'm the world's biggest Kafka simp and have been saving for a Black Swan rerun since the Firefly banner I would've definitely spent all my Jade pulling for her when the only FUA stuff I have is the free Ratio and a E0S0 Robin. I have also realized that the best way to figure out when a character is going to be archetype-enabling is when they're a mommy. Kafka. Black Swan. Feixiao. The one exception is Firefly, who instead of mommy is GF.
I'm skipping everyone for Aventurine and Acheron's lightcone, Feixiao is nice but I already have the whole follow up attack team built (Topaz, Ratio , Robin) I'd love to get Kafka cuz she's my favorite character but the Dot niche isn't doing well so I'll wait for another rerun when Dot will get a better support, Lingsha is just annoying in the quest so I don't even want her no matter how well she heals ! And if anyone has any tips to give me for who to pull I'll be happy to hear it :)
I started playing 2 months ago and had 300 pulls ready and got both in around 180 for my first full team (fei robin march8 galla), debating on gambling for e1 for robin or saving for Acheron and adventurine and maybe Sunday if he’s cracked (I pulled JQ as my first char).
Got E0 Robin early, was hoping for e2 Moze so I can finally run a decent FuA team next patch with Dr.Ratio/Moze/Robin/Lingsha. Only got E1. Hoping he'll be available from an event soon :D Tried the Acheron/JQ/Robin/Gallagher qpq strat, doesn't work without S1 Acheron. You're just too short on stacks. Well, I was gonna go for that LC either way. Not sure what LC Robin should carry in that setup either. Going with event lc for now. Maybe I'll buy Bronya's after some testing with Acheron. Tempted to pull for Feixiao and snack some Moze Eidolons in the process, but my biggest issue with those double hunt teams is lack of viable lc. I only got Hertha shop Hunt lc, no other good f2p option. Really wondering if I wanna start going for some universally usefull limited LCs like Topaz' for Hunt and Yunli for Destruction... Don't have any limited lc currently. Also, I got a built Ratio and don't really see the need to upgrade him. I got FF E2 and Acheron E1 as universal DPS, only real usecase for Feixiao for me would be Wind AS?
Idk how it performs for other teams, but my newly pulled Robin doesnt have energy problems running her with Feixiao. I don't even have Aventurine but FX and Moze attack so frequently that Robin's energy gain is insane. Her LC is definitely low prio, im just getting her e1 cos a teamwide 24% dps increase is insane, and this is coming from a monthly pass only player that hates vertical investment.
I agree that feixiao and Robbin is probs the right play, but as a newer player who’s always been interested in dot I went for Kafka and BS. I think if feixiao spoke to me a bit more it would’ve been a harder decision
As a F2P DoT enjoyer I was looking forward to Robin because I need Ruan Mei for firefly. I was hoping I could slowly upgrade the archetype overtime. No amount of saving could’ve prepared me for this patch :(
I just put Acheron and a sustain with Kafka and Black Swan. My other team is Firefly or Jingliu so either of them needs Ruan Mei too so I had to compromise
10:50 That's what I felt too. As much as I loved Penacony I also had issues with it, especially with how it seemed so disconnected from what had come before. The driving force in the previous storylines being the threat of the Stellaron, whereas in Penacony the Stellaron was basically just a footnote. I want to write an essay on it everytime I talk about it, but in short I've come to the conclusion that, as you said, Penacony was just a pit-stop and we're now going back to the REAL story (pun intended😅). Regardless, really like your videos, man.
For me Penacony was the best for what it was , and that is because Penacony was the first of it's kind. we weren't just getting rid of the stellaron and then leaving , we learned deeply about it's peoples and the reason it is how it is not only that we had a much bigger vision of the universe of HSR and their inter relationship , we had villains who had substance unlike Cocolia and the lord ravager who were cartoonist villains. I think that the stellaron is boring because of how it just creates villain , and takes the blame away , I like how in Penacony it was used as a tool and not as an excuse to create a boss fight For me the break point was the second Xianzhou quest we had , it was kinda useless in the overarching plot but maybe I'm wrong , it was just too bland for my liking anyways I can expand on why I liked Penacony so much if someone wants me too, and it's not that your opinion is wrong (kinda) it's just that I highly disagree 😅
I personally didn’t mind the Stellaron being a minor footnote. It would be boring if every single Express adventure happened because we needed to solve a Stellaron. What I liked about Penacony was that it was very, very, ideological. The enemy wasn’t just a faceless monster, it had logic and emotions and a backstory and an overarching goal that from another point of view could even be considered heroic. It’s also why I liked Belobog. Sure, the target was the Stellaron, but my interpretation of the story is that the Stellaron in fact wasn’t the main enemy. The ideological conflict of Belobog, in my opinion, is about holding hope against nihilism. Cocolia went on and on about “a new world” but from what I can see, her so called “new world” was just a metaphor for laying down and giving up. Because that’s what she did. She couldn’t beat them so she joined them. Belobog’s whole story is about choosing to keep going despite challenges, despite the world seeming to be against you. As Bronya said, “even if we are destined for oblivion, we will go bravely, hand in hand into the darkness.” Even if fate declares your death, make a choice and fight against your fate. The lack of an ideological conflict is also why I didn’t really enjoy the Luofu. Sure, it was cool and all, but just seemed like the heroes were beating up on a faceless enemy, and even when Phantylia reveals herself it’s like… that’s it? Because the Annihilation Gang’s purpose is only to destroy, they’re just… too bland to be the final antagonist of a major arc like the Luofu.
I’ve been pulling Black Swan eidelons this patch and I have no regrets. I skipped Firefly, Boothill and Ruan Mei- super break meta? What is that ? 😂 Definitely you don’t need to chase the meta. I look at the buffs my Blade has gotten with Feixiao release- fast attacking enemies, wind weak enemies- I don’t need the latest waifu when he can clear the same content.
Im really glad i saved for feixiao got her lc too, i had robin already going for e1 for the rest of the patch and next patch im going to pick up topaz' lightcone i have aventurine too but i am very excited to try different characters neglecting sustain in general
