soulslike was never a casual game and elden ring being an openworld kinda making it harder for casual but for me elden ring is way easier than sekiro because you just soul farming to death by exploring and just destroy most early bosses and it depends if casual players want to explore or not but most casual rush to boss fight early and suffer a lot. Tips for most casual is take your time dont rush boss fight and if you stuck on certain bosses you can explore to level up and find gear otherwise you can ignore this mechanic and just git gud.
If the game was 600 hours long I’d still say it’s too short. If we could just devote all earth resources into developing more elden ring that’d be great
People who have spending habits like Northernlion will end up the most disappointed overall. This is literally what it looks like when you blindly consume product without any real introspection. This is just one of many examples of streamers playing games they really shouldn't be playing both for their own good and their audiences.
I don't think thats a hot take at all. I'm on ng+2, I'd rather just deal with the increased difficulty in the dlc, then replay the base game again and look up where all the item are. If they make another ipen world game they need to trim the fat. Theres to much empty space in between the good stuff.
Elden ring is overwhelming in its content. I went down a simple well and there was a catacomb with a boss another area with an insane maze with a hard ass boss. Then, finally, after beating him there is a secret wall that leads to jump puzzle that leads to branches that leads to a new underground area .....its too much. The game would be so much better off they cut content and spent time polishing

I feel vindicated that NL doesnt like the idea of going through ER again. The open world design is ass. Its too tedious to go through. Toool much ahit gets copy pasted. The legacy dungeons were good, but thats it. ER is the first fromsoft game I didnt play again after beating it. Meanwhile demon souls, Dark souls, DS2, BB, and DS3? At least 5 playthroughs each.
