everyone gave props to shiroma but lets all appreciate pzula for being the first to break the 7 year record and adding some excitment to the community with his runs, hs blue for his insane dedication to this game , and aaron for being a god damn movement demon (on fucking internet explorer of all fucking things)
Moral of the story: if you discover a new breakthrough strategy- do not post until years later when you have absolutely destroyed it, distancing yourself as far from any potential challengers as humanly possible.
This video is incredible. (Spoiler alert for Summoning Salt's Tetris video, it's relevant to my point) When rolling, the thing that nearly singlehandedly multiplied the High Score record by about 5 times, was discovered, sure it was cool. But I could never shake off the feeling of missing when the record competition was for ~1.4M. Like, in seemingly a few days, the game changed so much, and it just feels. Weird. It's almost like if you skip Part 2 of a 3 part series. It just changes so much in such a short amount of time. But back to this video. I really didn't feel that. Like, even when PJ was discovered, arguably just as gamechanging as rolling was for Tetris, it felt nowhere NEAR as bad. Another similar thing. Did you know that I was Extremely glad to know that Caramel's Sub 3 in RB1 was a Sub-2:58? That's because your original video mentioned that a Sub-3 would require matching EG into train, + Sub-20. And then DW (Death Warp) was found, that turned it from 3:07 pace to 3:09 pace required. This brings me to my main point. Things like what happened with DW, making such a huge milestone, as you said, almost an order of magnitude more likely, feels disappointing to me. It's hard to explain why, but it's like. The hard milestone feels to lose lot of prestige. But then, this video? I don't really feel that. Idk if it's because it just didn't happen, or if you're just a master at scriptwriting, but still. It makes the video unbelievably good. edit: I originally said "Sub-3:08" instead of "Sub-2:58"
I haven’t encountered Flashpoint just yet, but if I do encounter it (which is most likely to happen) I might be able to give that a try and give it a rating.
About this game, it’s an unfair advantage for mobile, you waste a few miliseconds just to place your thumb down and move up, worst of all, due to the sweat, most of the times, your thumb would slip and cause you stop moving, dying 💀
i remember playing this in computer lab back in third grade and barely getting through level 2- its so nice knowing the game lives on in spite of flash dying :)
Me having played and made games with similar hitboxes, I probably wouldn’t have batted an eye at the strategy of abusing the hitboxes to go straight through the blue dots
I'd love your videos if the music sections weren't so *obnoxiously* LOUD and your voice so quiet. Some people *listen* to videos like these you know! Other than that, I'd watch these videos, but I just can't stand that.
I absolutely ate up those flash games in elementary school until my dumb little school blocked Adobe Flash Player in sixth grade. I will never forget you unblocked games 66 EZ
