This year i changed from forty years p2 to a p3 anniversary loving my vinyl again ,play it everyday with rega pre amp, rega psu ,yamaha amp, aegis three speakers and mission 760 i
Do you think this amplifier will pair well with Wharfedale Linton? I know in a WhatHiFi review that they paired with an Elex really well so this should be an upgrade, but not sure to be honest if it will pair well regarding sound signature, having in mind linton are towards relaxed and warmth sound and Rega is somehow more vivid/punchier and energetic.
@Dreamonoids don't project your stereotypes. I've never had a Crosley. You can still buy an AR XA or a quartz locked Japanese DD table for around $500, for example. You don't have to spend thousands on a TT to really enjoy music.
Viva.
Well if you already own an RP10 I’d just relax and enjoy, but if you’re just trying to find the best of the best then I’d say the Planar 10 skeletal plinth is 30% lighter than the original RP10 while offering increased rigidity over the previous model. Less mass means superior sound. This is all based on Rega’s core principal found in their book, “A Vibration Measuring Machine.” Rega puts extensive time into their R&D, and they only release new models when they have vastly outperformed their predecessor. That being said the RP10 is formidable to almost any turntable, just slightly dated now.
@@Dreamonoids I have thought about replacing them as my amplification and front ends have improved, but nothing else, except for another classic speaker has ever tempted me to part with my cash. I did so for a pair of mint TDL Studio 1 Mk 2's with stands. They now live in my man cave while the DC's continue to grace the living room.
the old model was so good. Now the new one is here and it is so so so much better. Words from rega. If its so much better the old one couldnt be that good could it, Then you listen to th eold one from 87 and its better ahh ok
Hey, how the ania pro will work with the p3 anniversary ? I'm considering to replace the exact to ania pro... Have the aria 3 phono stage. Any thoughts or recommendations?? Tnx a lot
In photos they look like toys compared to my RS 10s. Rega seems to be going back to their initial mission: good sound for reasonable prices. BTW the folks at Rega are very nice to deal with.
Do you recommend the Aya if I have elex mk4 ? Good combo ? Btw did you ever tried the Naim 5si ? It’s a bit old now (2013) but I was wandering how does it compare to the elex mk4 😇
I have ordered it and am eagerly waiting to connect it to my Cambridge CXA81. My cables are the B&W LS 1000 monitor. Does anyone have experience with Cambridge and Fyneaudio?
I have one and the first thing I noticed is no matter how much I increased the volume all the way to the threshold of damaging my speakers there was never the tiniest amount of the rumble i had a problem with from my last turntable.
I have had a planar 2 for 35 years it has given no trouble regular cartridge change service every couple of years ,rega carbon cartridge at the moment performs very well
I was lucky enough to demo a pair of these at home and they certainly didn’t disappoint! First thing that struck me was how big they sound for such a compact floorstander 😮 The soundstage is slightly wider when compared to my Dynaudio Evoke 30 and the resolution is remarkable. Fantastic, entertaining sounding speakers for their price but the wife didn’t like how they looked unfortunately so I reluctantly returned them.
@@joeylopezphd I have three pairs of loudspeakers. The perfect loudspeaker doesn’t exist but these caught my eye due to this new ‘ciment’ technology. I was in one of the best premium Hifi stores in France in Versailles last year. I listened to a Focal Utopia at 30k each, Macintosh amplifiers etc and then went to the basement and tried a REGA system with the Kyte loudspeakers. That’s when my passion for Rega started.
@@Trippenzoid funny you say they are not all that, yet compare them to the RS10 and Naos speakers, ones that when adjusted for inflation cost 5x as much!
As the owner of a Rega system top to bottom (turntable, phono stage, amp, speakers, even cables) I would sure love to know how these compare to the older generation of Rega speakers. I have RX3 speakers now, and love them to death. I know that Rega intends these Aya speakers to be direct replacements to the RX line, but are they a lateral move? Have they improved on the sound to the point that they would be an upgrade? Thanks!
That’s a great question. We would say yes they surpass them, but it’s better if you decided on your own. The RX3s do sound amazing though. Can’t be upset with those bad boys.
Looking good! Can’t wait to get our demo pair for the BCS location! All our customers are reporting that the pair in SA are sounding great. I am also excited to hear how they pair with the various levels of Rega amps.
