Test Instrument Solutions was founded in 2005. The company was formed to offer electricians, maintenance engineers and other end users a very competitive range of electrical testing equipment at the right price.
Using the founders combined 50 year's experience within the market our products are distributed through electrical wholesalers in the UK and Ireland. This route to market allows potential customers of our products to physically sample and see the units locally before purchase.
In 2009 a Calibration division was added, again aimed at offering the end user an excellent service at the right price. The company quickly attained ISO9001 accreditation.
Of particular success in this department have been Calibration Days at electrical wholesale outlets around the country, where meters are calibrated on site and the certificate produced there and then at a specially discounted rate.
@@weplaywax the biggest difference and most important is the Benning version needs a battery to function so it can’t be used as a true voltage tester to prove a circuit is dead, the 8000 is a true voltage tester so if the battery fails it will still detect voltage hence it doesn’t have a dial on the front so no chance of Human error where as the benning if you accidentally select Amps and measure voltage it will tell you the circuit has no voltage present 👍
@@testinstrumentsolutions brilliant, thank you so much for the explanation. Do you also sell your products in the EU? Meaning through an EU dealer, so to not import it directly from the UK.
Just bought this clamp today, and been having a bit of play with it. The instructions that come with it aren’t that great tbf!!! To accurately measure DC leakage I take it you need to clamp both the live and neutral together? The same as you would if you were measuring AC leakage?? Also can you explain the min/max feature a bit more? Is there a time out limit on the clamp? Or can you clamp a set of tails for eg.. 30 minutes then come back and read the min and max figures??
I’m testing harness’s on a PV system and my problem is when down loading data for 10 test only 4 or 5 show up being available on the ladder to the right. Rebooted the equipment and retried and then 8 show up. Is there a solution to this issue?
This came back from technical at HT Italia We can try to reduce the latency time of the COM port. To do so, with C2006 cable connected to PC and disconnected from the instrument: Device management --> COM and LPT ports -->Right button --> Properties --> Port settings --> Advanced image001.gif - Set the latency time to 1ms and press OK. Remove and replace the C2006 cable from the USB and try connecting to the instrument via topview . - If the setting fails, repeat the previous step by setting the latency time to 8ms Let us know if this works!
Hi Robin yes we do, it depends if you are near a local cal day in your area as that’s always the best price as there’s no carriage and you get it back the same day, usually on a cal day at a wholesaler it’s about £35 usually but that depends on the wholesaler
I want to purchase TIS 1310 Led & Standard lux meter. How much is it, including shipping cost? How long can it take to arrive Nigeria? I have an important project that will require verification of illuminance of solar street lighting using LED light. Treat as very urgent.
Need a variable RCD test on the T.I.S MFT Pro. More often I need to test Earth Leakage relays and they are never set to a standard setting like 30mA or 100mA always somewhere in between. Even the time setting can be adjusted.
Hi Aaron no you can select it without the adapter obviously that test is just for EVSE Chargers the reason it might be greyed out is you need to drop the mA to 6mA then you should be able to select the DD function
Very nice tester I've had one for the last year or so But why doesn't it have an audible sound when it detects voltage Besides that I would highly recommend
Do TIS hold a list of all serial numbers and owners? Can owners report lost or stolen TIS kit to you espcially MFTs? At some point the TIS kit will need to be calibrated and this could be a way to pass information onto the police. This would help set you apart from other brand like Fluke and Megger and help to reduce tool theft.
@@testinstrumentsolutions Apple Computers said the same thing about 10 years ago but after speaking to their customer base they relised it was something the customers wanted and needed. These days everybody knows about FindMyPhone. This caused a massive reduction in thefts and actually led to the generation of more sales.
Hi there, the MFTPRO and MFTPRO+ both have a full EVSE auto sequence so it guides you through every test on where the leads and dials should be on each test, the PRO+ also has Earth Resistance if you check our web site there’s a few videos 👍
It's a pity the Fault dial on the T100 does not have the OK position in the middle of the 2 fault positions, so the extinguishing of the L1 voltage indicator light could be seen as both faults are put onto the system independently of each other.
How does the MFT-Pro do the Continuity measurement when there is only one conductor connecting the T100 to the MFT. i.e. the green lead. The black lead is plugged into the MFT but not the T100. Where does it go?
HI- Just bought the TIS 925. Am I missing the instructions- all there is is the "how great is this" blurb. Apparently, it has an "Easy Battery Compartment"- great. Which way round do the batteries go? How do I check it is working? Should it do something somewhere at some point? I've tried batts in both ways round, tried in the flex of a lit lamp and it does ... nothing. ???
