There must be a better way to check if the TXV is bad. The sub-cool was good telling that that the refrigerant is good. The airflow was good. Dirty condenser and filter would sometimes do that. But that I guess was good leaving the TXV faulty. It’s unable to let the proper amount of refrigerant into the evaporator. I am still in school for air conditioning and refrigeration so I am no means an expert but my job as a watch engineer is also plumbing and AC. When there is a low refrigerant or leak or bad TXV, I let my chief engineer whom has been doing that for 40 years take care of that. I take care of everything else so I am learning and watching those videos helps me a lot. Keep with the good work.
Is this something they check when they do a winter furnace tuneup and cleaning? I have cat litter dust spewing out of my vents, and my hunch is it's all stuck in the flexible hosing. Heat or cool, it blows everywhere.
Can you show a video of how to test and fix it? Steps with the tools, meter, etc... HVAC guy came out for tuneup, changed capacitor, and now I'm getting that flashing cool on.
Congratulations on starting your own company. Definitely the type of person id want as a boss lol. Do you ever plan to offer apprenticeship/ schooling options to younger community member/ potential employees? Could be a great way to get some help and raise a valuable asset to your company
Ive had 4 techs come look at my trane unit. No one can fix it. It works except it will not pull in contactor by itself, you hsve to push it in. New contactor, verified old one was good. New cap. Old one was fine. Bypassed both pressure switches. Have normal green LED. This unit should go.... by doesnt.
Seen a guy wire the cap wrong, never realized fan was spinning backwards, diagnosed bad compressor because amp were reading 34, max was 24, temp split was below 10. Replaced compressor, same exact issue lol.
