Did they keep the magic secret place where she meditates? I saw in the trailer she takes Leo somewhere and tells him to scream which is exactly opposite of the calmness one would find in meditation 😂 That was such an important part of the story with deep meaning, that she was in touch with herself and happy, just like that old wise teacher guy with the cactus knew about her. Saying how she was in touch with a part of ourselves that most had forgotten. The childlike innocence and love, the egolessness. Love how positive your review was!! thanks for making this video because I didnt feel interested to watch the movie but was curious how the people in charge of a book I really enjoyed and helped teach me many things decided to turn it into a film. 😊
I started reading the You books. I had no idea the show was based on the books. I've been enjoying reading You and Hidden Bodies. Joe's monologues are funny and unhinged at times. Hidden Bodies is completely different from season 2!
Insightful information on these Type 1 Enneagram types! I stumbled upon your channel through the RU-vid algorithm today. My MBTI channel does the same. Thanks for sharing! 🌟🌟🌟
Yea .. Great points . I prefer the book Also the ending was great on the book . So he goes on with his life and after almost 15 years or so he gets another tie .... wow .. right
I just watched the movie and read the book and I totally agree. Tbh most of the changes made me really mad and I loved the book sol much I read it all the time when I'm bored
I read the book about 20 years ago in high school when my girlfriend gave me her copy to read. I literally stained the last few pages with tears. I balled my eyes out!! Because of that emotional connection to the book, I held off on seeing the movie until a couple days ago. I feel like Disney missed the point of the book entirely. The whole young love aspect seemed lost to me. You don't feel the heart break at the end. It was weird.
I remember actually reading the book in 7th grade and everyone in my class hated it I loved it I loved star girl because the odd one out aspect and I just realized its now a movie but sadly but of course no books can be perfect like the movie 😭
I have the worst attention span so I’m always reading 20 books at a time. The upside is I never get bored but the downside is that it takes me forever just to finish a book. 🫠
Hi Kristin! Loved watching your video and love your picks! They sound so good and I love the synopsis of the one featuring the new friendship! Excited to read with you this weekend!
Yesterday, i started to read the perks of being a wallflower/las ventajas de ser invisible. I´ts getting interesting. Also, good video, go ahead with this section :3
I always say that the movie for Crazy Rich Asians is different from the book. 🎥 Definitely curious, how the film China Rich Girlfriend will turn out. Yes. It's like watching an East/Southeast Asian drama.
@@kristinandherbooks yes she is! I liked One Day in December, but I’l struggling a bit through this one! The setting and supporting characters are great! It’s just the two main characters are a bit difficult to like!
@@thelightningreader8223 ohh, books with unlikable characters can be so tricky! I hope it picks up a little! Maybe they have some redeemable trait, haha?
Hi, Lindsay! :) I definitely recommend that one as well. It's so sweet. I've actually been thinking about doing an Anne of Green Gables read-along at some point!
I still need to start reading Fredrik Backman’s books! I think I might start with A Man Called Ove, but I haven’t decided yet. Would love to see a reading goals video! 🙂
Glad you had a good reading month! Spinning Silver is on my TBR, and I really hope to get to it sometime. I have finished three books so far this month (almost done with a fourth), and my favorite was The Inheritance of Orquidea Divina. I hope you have a great February!
This is such a great readathon idea to begin the new year, and the first prompt is my favorite. (There are a lot of books I wish I had gotten to in 2021.) 😅 I finally read Anne of Green Gables this year and loved it. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series.
Hi Kristin! You’ve made such a wonderful TBR/announcement video for the readathon! I am so looking forward to cohosting with you in the new year! Your TBR looks great, it’s so cool to see so many readers read Anne of Green Gables - such a Canadian classic! Here’s to a wonderful new bookish year! 🎉
