Control what you can control. Meaning some things come up we can’t plan for that derail us from the goal. The game is letting go and getting back on the path as soon as possible. Hope this helps.
I have lived in the Gap all my life. I read this book about 6 months ago and I can honestly say it has helped give me a healthier perspective. Great, courageous video, Raylen.
Probably something along the lines of if you were trying too hard to lose weight you create too much friction which caused you to gain weight and not wanna work out. However, if you stop trying and just be the person who works out and needs clean. It just happens.
I gave it 5 consecutive attempts last year only ever got to day 17. Getting it in as early as possible is so important. Also pick a diet that you can stick to. I was doing keto and it got too much. In the future I think I would do low carb too. Depends how strict you want to be but I also found out the workouts have to be 3 hours apart. It was heart breaking to hear this as I was cycling home from a 15mile bike ride, that I did immediately after a 2 hour leg session in the gym. My biggest advice is don't go too hard as you have to go every day and coffee is not your friend. It's really easy to start drinking lots of coffee because you feel so tired but you end up getting a worse quality of sleep and then become anxious and panicked you won't complete all the parts of the challenge. I felt like this anxiety meant I was procrastinating more. Good luck on your next go around. You've inspired me to give 75 hard another go this year.
Double check, but second workout must be done 3 hours after first to count. Garage doesn’t count, part of the mental toughness of the challenge 😊 to be true to the program.
I taught yoga for years, and I worked with a lot of David Goggins (whom I respect) type clients. Every single one of their bodies broke down eventually, and when they did, they couldn’t turn it off. They kept pushing and DESTROYED themselves.
It’s funny, I was one of those people but learned to let go. It’s when I started accepting instead of pushing I started to see improvement in my mobility. Funny how that works.
This sail-boat with an engine is actually an excellent analogy to differentiate between 'manifesting' desired outcomes - which your left brain has to devise & strategise over - versus - 'let it go', 'submit' - & see where your current is trying to take you. Engine = left-brain/manifesting Sails = Wu Wei (I'm going to ignore that sailboats can steer!)
Best proof for „doing less to get more“ is the stockmarket. There is a small study from Germany, that shows that the people who made the most money within 12 month where those, who forgot their password. Great video, I read the book but need to come bald to this insights. Thanks.
I think if your skill set is project management and you don’t spend too much on fulfillment it can be a great business. If you’re not careful tho it can become a hassle quick.
Great recs! Some books I've found super helpful lately on my business/entrepreneurship journey are Business Made Simple by Donald Miller, Make Your Brand Legendary by Scott Wozniak, and The Boldly Inclusive Leader by Minette Norman.
I'm going to comment from a Social Media Manager's POV specifically one who works with coaches, when i finished your video i checked out your profile. I would like to share a few thoughts if you don't mind. Honestly, its a skill set issue this is the reason why you haven't been able to leverage using Instagram for leads. The trust you have mentioned and connection can still be built on Instagram. You failed to set your Instagram for business , this is what i mean. At first glance on your feed, the first thought that came to mind is this is a personal page. If you want to incorporate some aspects of your to Instagram there is a way you can do that without making your IG look like an influencer's page. Only when i looked into your bio was when i realised this is supposed to be a business page. You have no highlights that illustrate more about you, how to work with you, clients testimonials, freebies and tips you want to share. This is why i think Instagram has let you down. I know Instagram can be a pain in the ass but there is a way to make it bring leads to you day in day out. Analyses your content and align it your Ideal clients needs. Use this questions to guide you. Why you? ( Share your story on how you became a coach, any recent blocks you overcame and how what you teach helped you overcome it ) How you can help them achieve their desired outcome. ( If you have worked with clients for that offer, share the problems they shared during onboarding and what success they felt they achieved during off boarding, what joy they have shared mid offer/ coaching that makes them feel they made the right choice working with you) Positioning yourself as an authority in your niche. ( This can circle back to why you, you can also share how you made a certain client overcome a block they knew they had or had no idea about, did you guide them through it to enable them to make the realisation themselves or?) Reaching out to that ONE ideal client among your audience. ( During onboarding you might have realised a common problem that your clients are facing, you can use that to create content so that someone who is lurking among your audience feels called out and take that step to achieve their desires) Transforming your parched DMs into an oasis of inquiries. ( Once you nail all the above, your DMs will be full of aligned clients knocking on your door) This is the first step to take if you think of returning to IG. Hope it helps ✨
