Ahh, Affliction. Mostly good memories.. although my GPU formed a union with other GPU's threatening to quit unless i reduced the workload substantially :/
I'm pretty new to PoE and always struggle to understand the prices on builds like this. Like, even "low cost" items are 1-3 Divines? I'm currently at Tier 8 Maps, and have all in all, made about 1.5 Divine. Is the jump in money made really THAT much bigger, that multiple divines is consideres cheap? Edit: Not to mention Mageblood. The cheapest one currently is 44 Divine. What in the hell? xD
I wish they made PoE 1 crossplay people don’t have access to the items on the market like people on PC do which are less expensive and a lot more of them
This league with the new scarabs (w/ x1 Ritual scarab of abundance, x2 Ritual scarab of selectiveness or x1 abundance, x1 selectiveness and x1 blood-filled vessel) has been solid for me. You will get tons of fractured and, more importantly, synth jewels which is awesome for anyone using The Adorned. I get at least one Div favor every 3-4 maps in respect to “consistent currency” philosophy. That’s without mentioning the fairly regular high-value divination card favors, super consistent acquisition of rarer essences if you’re interested in that, the fairly common lvl 21 skill gem and/or Enhance/Enlighten/Empower favor. I’ve got 2 enlighten and 2 enhances during the about 2 weeks I’ve been doing Ritual.
So I have managed to grab most of the gear and working on pushing to lvl 100. From what I have seen over the past week or so the squire implicit is like 50-150 divine. The watchers eye is now almost a mirror most of the time one is listed. The amulet with att and max energy shield is also up toward a mirror. Do you have any recommendations on alternatives between those super expensive upgrades?
You don't need a fancy Squire or Watcher's Eye. The Clarity mod is the only one that's mandatory. A rare amulet can work, or a stats amulet with a different second mod.
i made your/conors semi-budget build. Mageblood, adorned 110, level 94, 11k mana and... i have no idea where the hype is. I seriously do not know how in the hell this build could deepdive, it's dps, with the arcane cloak is around 10m dps. Even with alot of accuracy (precision lvl 15, 1k int) i dont trigger lightning orb eery .25s~ but instead once per second at best. I have tweaked the attack speed, so it'd match my spells CD (got 9% from boots). And then i get oneshot so often, as both dmg and survivability is on 6s window every 4s. What am i doing wrong? Seriously.
I just recently found this build. As usual I'm late to the party. I've tried everything this league (This is my 8th build) and I've finally found what I was looking for. Tanky, tanky, tanky. And has very solid dps. Can finally run t17s without getting one shot constantly. Thank you for this!
Welp...im lost as fuuuuccckk..I need a guide for guides...do I farm those essences where do I get this stuff probably not there yet damn im never gonna craft shit
I skipped the league, only played the campaign and first few maps. Appreciate the work you put into the videos and hope you will be around for 3.25. thanks
All interestng and I was working my way towards putting this together but what I want to know about is that Eye of the Great Wolf with those two implicits. That's not even something that's to be found on Trade and it seems pretty vital to the build. What's option B for that?
Phew.. i am so glad you made this. i am so tired tired or the purely negative "this league is so bad cause its tedious" stuff that is so common in content creation. im glad they are doing what they are doing, cause everyone is going to be playing elden ring. this league has been so fun, ive done multiple ssf restarts and the league being randomly generated every map has allowed for more customization every map! this league has inspired me to be so creative. i would easily give it an 8/10
Loving the videos on all fronts, the farming, the build stuff. all great! I've been running the same build, and one thing I noticed is that adorned jewels in place of split personalities were so close, that I swapped to more adorned jewels, then was able to optimize my pathing even better to pick up a couple other notables. felt waaay better. cheers
Glad to help! You can do pretty much any farm strategy well with this build! We've been playing around in t17's and doing Back to Basics 8-mod map farming, but there's really nothing it can't do!
For the ring base there's a chaos resistance vendor recipe to restore fractured ring to non fractured state. The cost should be 15 or so divs on average to fracture a t1 perfectly rolled essence int. It's never worthy to pay for 20 divs for a t2 chaos res. The only reason it's being sold is that it's bricked.
Thanks for introducing me to the mana stacking archetype and cyclone skills been really enjoying experimenting with them! Have you tested out the frostbolt / vortex variation?
@@PathofEvening Yeah it uses CoC but also mana stacking - it seems like a "pinnacle" version in a way of your ball lightning variant. If you are interested check out my build on poe ninja character: Krypt_ManaMan it is quite alot more expensive that your version however (ff/ff combo mostly)! But I also made a hybrid between the two using all my ball lightning gear (ivory tower, mjloner etc.) while I was figuring things out and also works very well! It just allows freedom in basically any trigger skill for cyclone rather than exclusively lightning but alot of the principles you teach (i.e. trigger rate balancing) was all very useful in figuring things out. The build is also absurdly tanky and has too much dps for most content - I think its around 120mil pinnacle dmg and 700k ehp with sigil of power up! Its the favourite build ive ever played by a clear mile for just just an all around fun time!
@@PathofEvening Yeah its a great playstyle very similar feel to your variant! Its essentially the same principles with a CoC trigger instead and an extra layer of scaling due to crit and converting all ele dmg into fire and a bunch of phys to fire / chaos with ci immunity! Much more expensive due to the forbidden flesh and flame combo required but if you are interested in pushing this playstyle further and cant stop spinning I'd highly recommend giving it a try.
Bro, that neckless costs as much as half the first page of Magebloods. This is absolutely insane. How is this amulet 300 divines ?! Really wanted to try this build but 300 div for a neck ? is it the league or is it people ?
@@PathofEvening I guess. What would be the next best thing? The same amulet but with attributes only and a random stat? or is mana more important? i.e. what would be better a increased attributes with phys reduction or maximum mana with another stat? or is there a better alternative altogether that's not this amulet
Stats are more important. Definitely just go with Stats & something (maybe fix your AS, or get more AoE, something along those lines), and hope to snipe a Stats/Mana neck at some point.
What's even more insane to think about is the fact 2-3 weeks ago this amulet was 50-75 divs, but the price has really soared recently. Glad i already got mine 😂😂
It's pretty dependent on uniques, so you would have to start as another Heiro build and transition into it, but you can get this up and running without a huge initial investment.
Hey man, I am currently lvl 98 and trying your strat but after about 20 maps run im only getting about 2-3% of a lvl per map and im wondering if it shouldnt be a bit higher? Maybe something with my atlas tree? Im missing 8 points currently so didnt take the smugglers cache, the four allflames in top left or the beyond portals cant spawn unique boss nods. Im running 7-8 mod t16/20 quality maps with one domination, one abnormality, one teachings and one scarab of monstrous lineage. If you happen to read all this because im really late well thanks in advance!! 😅
You can add Untainted Allflame Embers onto maps that have packs with an XP Increase Lantern of Armor mod, that will definitely help boost your XP per hour, but 2-3% per map is not bad once you're at 98+. Clearing faster always helps with xp/hr, and Hunted Traitors tends to add more monsters to maps than Monstrous Lineage!
@@PathofEvening oh great, I was wondering if I needed to use the allflame on other packs as well or just those. Maybe I am just too slow running my maps because I pick up way too much loot lol but anyway thanks for the tips much appreciated!! Also will try swapping with hunted traitors for sure
In the game design sense? Make them open up passively, like Breach hands! In terms of how to do it? Just clear around them a bit, click and immediately start Cycloning.
@@PathofEvening Ive been taking 4 points getting a caster mastery to open them on cast. Its not perfect but I don't have to stop channelling. Also, FYI I learned you can use tainted catalyst even on the greatwolf. Its a bit of a gamble to get attributes and a high roll, but the extra X% seems like a huge boost.
Any idea why if I change my POB "boss" to guardian/pinn i have 4.33/4.32/4.32 ( this is what im shooting for correct?), but when i change it to no boss/standard/uber my source rate jumps way over my trigger rate and i lose a bunch on dmg?
i got 2 adorned jewels for curse immunity. but prices on those depend heavily on what mods you need for my phys dot buit they were only couple of divines and i didnt even have to give up %'s on my rolls. but on more meta builds adorned jewels with implicits might get expensive really fast
The thing is: 1) The build doesn't have enough spare points to pick up all the (now) 10% mana nodes and 2) the small nodes are 10% instead of the 12% around Cruel Preparation and finally 3) no 5% all res, making it objectively a worse choice. The only scenario where it's superior is if somehow the 20 life (this is not converted to mana btw but remains flat life) enables you to use your last aura without using an additional jewel with reservation efficiency implicit or something similar. This will be quite rare.
Depends. Often your passive regen is rather low (300-600) unless you're using a 3% life regen crafted flask. Using one means using the other, but the in-combat benefit of something like 1200 es regen isn't all that amazing when compared to the amount of leech you get from the 10% insta-leech mastery. Still, it helps against various dots as well as topping yourself off in-between Arcane Cloaks.
Hey there Path of Evening. As a long time mana stacker myself (this would be my 8th league in a row doing so) I wanted to say thanks for posting your previous video and this one. I've had several new players that were struggling and converted them to mana stacker archmage mjolner hierophant, but the many nuances of the build made it difficult for many to grasp in its entirety, often resulting in very long QA sessions in my hideout. And unfortunately, as brilliant as Conner Converse is, he is not very good at making introductory guides to players that are not only new to mana stackers, but new to PoE in general. So far your guide is the best one that I know of on youtube, as an introductory and intermediary course to mana stacking hierophant, and I will continue to promote it to more people. I will also offer a bit of constructive criticism. You've obviously put a lot of research and currency into your build, and nothing you've said is strictly speaking erronous, but it's evident that the build is still new to you and you still have a few gaps in your knowledge. You didn't ask for this, but we're all here to learn right? - The main reason we don't take Mind Over Matter is not that it bricks the build, but that it is functionally void. Mana only protects life, not energy shield, and since we're running around with less than 100 hp, its benefit is infinitesimal. - Not getting the lightning mastery with 30% maximum mana applies to shock effect is a huge loss. This is not just for crit builds. If you notice right next to the Light Eater leech tree, there is another non-crit friendly lightning mastery version that even increases your shock by a further 50%. Remember, this effect is multiplicative with Overcharge, and overcharge alone is insufficient against any sort of difficult content to shock cap challenging rares. Getting these 4 points is literally the difference between shocking a rare for 25% or 65% with Shock Nova. This is quite literally 'lose 750 ES and mana, do 50% more damage against things that matter'. - Primal Spirit is only best in slot if you're having an easy time getting mana leech capped, something Overcharge+non-crit variants sometimes struggle with against bosses and rares, in particular with running any sort of delirium (ever since the removal of anomalous mana leech). Essence Sap is a very viable alternative, it raises your leech cap by 50% and makes it twice as easy to get there. - This is mostly a playstyle preference, but I strongly advice against NOT using Grace and/or a Jade Flask. The difference between 80% evasion and 7% is staggering to put it mildly. Of course, when you hit level 100 you're free to do as you please without consequence, but Grace offers significantly more overall survivability than Discipline for general mapping. You can even tattoo the one 10 dex note you get close to the starting area with a 5% chance to blind to increase this effect even further with virtually no downsides. - I'd do some double checking on the numbers on Elemental Mastery from Ash, Frost and Storm, especially if used in conjunction with Elemental Weakness and exposure from Awakened Lightning Penetration. Those 14% more damage are pretty generous I think, and even if they're not, 14% sound about as much-ish as you could expect from 4 points put directly into mana (i.e the Insightfulness tree or Deep Thoughts+Righteous Decree or even just a 4 point jewel slot) thanks to archmage, Arcane Cloak and an overall bigger mana pool, so I'm not sure there's as much benefit to be had as you think, outside of the first few weeks of a league where this mastery is actually very nice. - Any sort of crit build that doesn't involve Righteous Providence FF jewels (those are currently over 600 divs in total), or actually being an inquisitor (Yes, this can be done and is actually viable) with Sanctuary of Thought FF jewels (about 125 divs) is pointless and strictly inferior to Elemental Overload. You mentioned it as an option, but no, you sacrifice too many skill points for crit that you actually end up losing damage from having a low mana pool. Don't bother. Other than that, I completely agree with the upgrades that you gave yourself, especially reducing crit damage taken and your focus on managing your aps with cyclone. Both of these are essential and points of contention. Good work, and I hope to see even more in the future.
@@OvErDoSeToXiC38 there is no difference really! As an inquisitor however, you're going to have a lower mana and es pool, and your mana regent is going to be abysmal to the point where I personally had to use rings with t1 mana regen.
Primarily because the alternatives are even worse. As he explains, maxing clarity provides minimal benefit, and neither Dread- nor Defiance Banner are useful to a build without evasion. Precision has two distinct advantages in that it provides a bit more crit chance which is useful for proccing Elemental Overload more consistently, but also makes maps with less player accuracy much more tolerable. And finally, you can use the watchers eye mod attack speed while affected by precision and swap out the attack speed on your flasks for something more useful.
