Welcome to Fabulous Tesla Dad! We are going to provide you amazing content on owning a Tesla Model Y in sunny London UK! We are going focus on what's it's like to own an electric car for a family of 5 (3 kids). We will have informative content on how practical the Tesla will be for a family as well as having many giggles along the way.
Why all the luggage? was this a trip or a move to Paris? Not to make stereotypes but I noticed South-Asians really have a habit of overpacking for any occasion.
We are going to Disney in November and I having been deciding weather to take Model Y or X1 diesel. I did research into chargers etc but seeing this I’m definitely taking the Tesla especially with the space..… good video, thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
Interesting video. Thank you. I’m about to collect my new Model Y as well so this helped as I was confused as to how the actual car park location and set up was configured.
I’m so close to getting the model Y white RWD with black interior but not sure if to go for white interior. We test drove it and loved it . But I’m a bit hesitant to commit 😮. It will be my first EV, so I’m a bit worried. Loved your video for the collection , so exciting on the day I bet.
Can anyone advise please...... TESLA Hmmmmmm!!!!! I took ownership of a brand new AWD Model Y on the 23rd of January 2024, and in a little over 2 weeks I have done 760 miles. I don't have a charger at home so I charge at Tesla superchargers at 40p a KW. I go before I start work at 5am when it is the cheapest rate. I did do just over 100 miles of charge at the local shell garge which cost me £26.81 the other 4 superchargers cost me a total of £80.40 thats a whopping £107.21 in 17 days. Does anyone think this is correct or do they think I have an issue with my battery. To be honest the first few day I did put my foot down and have the heating on, some mornng I don't have the heating on at all. I have a 2013 BMW M Sport Diesel and costs me just over £80 to fill it and I would get around 600 miles to a tank of diesel. I regret getting a Tesla now.....
I think the 2022 Model Y is the best model year to get. It has parking sensors, has the new Ryzen graphics chip and Li-Ion 16v battery instead of the 12v acid battery and STALKS. All the ones that came after went backwards in my opinion.
Excellent video. Thanks for the information. Stumbled across your video as i'm thinking of driving my Tesla Model 3 to Disney Paris via the Eurotunnel. You made it look easy!
Great video, thank you! We’ve just ordered a MY (our first EV) and doing the same trip in April. Very helpful to know EVs are well catered for along the way!
Merry Christmas. I just upgraded from a 2018 RWD long range M3 to an Ultra Red Model X and absolutely loving this car. Got the five seater so eligible for the 7500 tax credit
Happy Holidays and a Healthy New Year to al! I don't like Tesla's "reason" for no longer providing right-hand steering. In any case, once steer-by-wire is used (as it is in the Cybertruck) there is no reason not to provide Model X and Model S with right-hand steering. Lovely to see all the positivity in your video.
I’m doing the journey in a few weeks - with an Audi etron. Do you know if there are plenty of non-tesla chargers or if the ones at Disney are for all to use?
Hello there, thanks for your question. The are many charging stations on route from Calais to Disney. Also remember that the Tesla charging network is opening for non Tesla’s too. You may need to check if that has also been applied in France. The chargers at the Disney hotels are universal for any electric car. Have a great trip!
I would typically charge to 80-85% even on road trips because any more than that means that the regen breaking doesn't work as normal until battery runs back down from 90+%. I prefer to drive it as normal even if the range is slightly lower.
Love the videos. Watched them all in the last week! Hope all is well with you and the family. It’s been a while since you posted but hope you can find time to make videos again soon, should you want to. I’ll always be here to watch!
Really enjoying your videos and I don’t even own or have ordered one! Very engaging. Have they turned off the parking sensors on yours and how do you feel about that?
We ordered a model Y standard range 3 weeks ago and it should arrive by ship in Belgium next week and hopefully be in Denmark within a few weeks. Planning a road trip from Denmark to Cornwall in 2024. Because of the Tesla charging network, it does not seem that the Standard Range will struggle too much, but yes a few more stops than we would have to in a LR
Picking a new car up from a carpark, with some shoddy barriers and everyone standing outside? In all honesty, you would expect more from a company like Tesla, it looks so unprofessional.
