Guys welcome to our brand new channel! We have taken delivery of our new Tesla Model Y 2022 and have made the giant leap from petrol to electric! Exciting and also scary transition. Start the journey with us as we take you through all aspects of owning an electric car with a family.
Sit back, relax and enjoy our first road trip in the Model Y to Cornwall. We make the long journey down South and have to charge along the way! This is Part 2 as we explore Cornwall and figure out charging to get back!

You need to confirm the charge via the Podpoint app otherwise the charger will stop after 15 mins or so...

Made such a huge point of saying what a disappointment it was, even said he went back to the car 3 times to reconnect it and still didn’t see it written ion the charger? This is why Tesla drivers sometimes get a bad name, it’s never their fault

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the Tesla. It would be interesting if you could include a brief review of the chargers you visit on these trips indicating the facilities available, how easy it was to find, reliability of chargers, etc. All the best to you and your family.

Sam , trust the Tesla route planning. Don’t stress about traffic , the slower speeds extend your range ! It will be an absolute joy.

Yup. U need to confirm on the pod point App for it to stay charging, otherwise after 10 or 15 minutes it will stop .

As others have said you need the pod point app and confirm the charge once its started. Without doing this it will stop after 15 mins. The charge would be free at tescos. The app also gives you the price of the charger if it isnt free in the weekly fees part of the app of the particular charger

Do you confirm the charge in the PodPoint App?It only charges for 15 minutes as an initial setting to save time on arrival.

Can I get some clarification as to the real cost of charging with a EV’s. I have seen a lot of videos and when people are charging they decide to go for coffee have a snack etc etc, so let’s put this into consideration vs petrol what is the real total cost of your journey. Thanks
