Do you like to puzzle? Love to Puzzle?? Dream about puzzling and often miss out on special events because you'd rather be at home putting in "one more piece?" If you answered yes to any of these, you will love my channel! I wanted to create a place where I can share my love for puzzles. My goal is upload a new videos every week. I want to discover new brands, and just talk about all things jigsaw puzzles. Thanks for coming by and subscribe if you see something you love!
Are there different terms for two-in-two-out puzzle pieces versus pieces like the Ravensburger and Buffalo pieces? People seem to be using 'ribbon cut' for both types of pieces. This would be useful information, especially for new brands. I just don't enjoy two-in-two-out shape pieces for 1,000-piece puzzles. I loved the video and the great variety of brands and images.
I use ribbon cut as to say all the pieces are in a straight line. It was cut on a grid so all the piece sizes are the same even though there are different shapes. two/two are just the style of piece shape but can also be ribbon cut. At least that's what I've gathered.
I do have a lot of 1000 piece puzzles, but I do like doing smaller piece count puzzles; mainly as a stress relief. I really like the puzzle with the owls. It’s so cute! I need to get that one next week. Great video
This is very helpful. I do not like the ribbon cut puzzles. I love Ravensburger, Springbok and also the family style puzzles with areas of larger pieces.
Great video! Nice to hear that the Bits N Pieces multi pack are still a good quality. I've done a white mountain multi pack and while I love white mountain, I did NOT enjoy their multi pack! It's as if they send them all to the same manufacturer for printing/cutting. I enjoy a good 300pc puzzle so this was an interesting video for me
I do enjoy your channel, your content and your personality.....I also do a lot of 300-500 piece count .... and enjoy Ravensburger , the Owl image was gorgeous... lots of great images and good brands...... this was a good video for beginners and experienced puzzlers... sharing different brands... I enjoyed your interview you did with artist.... you didn't talk quite as fast.... I have to slow the speed down for every video.... I still haven't caught the name of the smaller Ravensburger line..... I will google it.... thanks for sharing the info.......
Great video! I agree with Blanc, Ravensburger, WT MTN and I do enjoy Roseart-Crazyart-Kodak (especially the Puzzle Collector line and Vivids! Also, Eurographics 500 are a great size. All of these are definitely a wonderful choice for those times when you need a quick fix! 🤣🤣
I love White Mountain puzzles. I tend to get their 1000 piece collage puzzles and have collected quite a few of them. Really good customer service too if needed. That gnome set just ended up in my cart. Love gnomes and will have to get that set at some point. Thanks for sharing!
Your voice sounds better - finally kicked that bug! Great reviews. I have until recently been pretty firmly in the 1000 pc camp, but realized (thanks to social media) that the smaller piece counts, like 300 and 500 mean I can try more challenging images without feeling overwhelmed. I feel, too, that the puzzle brands have woken up to the fact that adult puzzlers like these sizes and the images are less childish nowadays. And lastly, sometimes 300 pc is just right for when I'm doing a puzzle for therapeutic purposes - I'm in a funk or whatever. That satisfying feeling of starting and finishing in one sitting!
I really enjoy doing the smaller piece count puzzles, especially the larger piece size. They make me feel like a puzzling genius and are a nice break after doing larger piece counts. Ravensburger is my favorite in smaller piece counts but I also enjoy Buffalo, Bits and Pieces, Masterpieces and White Mountain. Great video. Enjoyed it as usual.
@@thecasualpuzzler hello 👋 Emily glad you said hello when you went live I said hello to you several times times and you didn’t said nothing back your are my inspiration I love to see you puzzle it made me happy when you spoke to me.
@@thecasualpuzzler okay I’m glad you replied back to clarify with me I l love watching your lives and you inspire me as a puzzler myself. You are awesome
I quite often do 300 pieces or less as a break from doing the larger count jigsaws. Loved the Night Owl Hoot as it is one I did myself recently. Bits & Pieces is another brand I've done quite a bit of and usually their smaller count puzzles. I like their quirky shapes.
I just did a 29 cent Guild puzzle that I got at a puzzle exchange. It say series 118 on the box. I think it is called Turning Leaves. It's not nearly as interesting picture as the one you have. I think it is older than the one you did, because except for the edge pieces very few of the inside pieces fit together. A couple of the edge pieces were also missing so it made it even harder to keep the puzzle together. I kept thinking that it was amazing that people back in the day when this was produced would even want to do a puzzle that just kept pulling apart.
Hi I’m new to puzzling and I have question what size puzzle table should I get I was thinking 2000 piece but I noticed yours is 1500 is there a reason or just your preference I have only one 2000 piece puzzle so I guess I’m asking is 2000 piece table to big
My 1500 piece has been big enough for most things. I don't do many piece counts over that and if they are I typically just use my regular table or in the past I've taped some pieces of foam board together to extend the length of my table and that has really worked. My 1500 piece board is pretty heavy, so I'm not sure I'd want to move a 2000 piece one around. Hope that helps.
Loved the vintage puzzle - such a strange cut - it almost looked like it had whimsies. Also, only 29 cents back in the 60s? Wow. I'm not a huge Aimee Stewart fan, but I thought this puzzle looked fun, and what a great keepsake of a special time. Always love to see a Wentworth getting done - and that sax player, lol. Hope that cold lets go of you soon, it's been tenacious! Regarding that box that was hard to open - I feel like there is a general concensus growing among social media puzzlers that the manufacturers need to move away from full seals and go to the sticky patches that can be easily slit with a knife - not only easier to open, but also more eco-friendly.
I think it would be nice if you would comment in the video or in the comments if you would choose to keep the puzzle in your collection to do again or if you are going to pass it along. Hope you feel better soon.❤
I very seldom redo puzzles and most likely pass along the puzzles I do completed. I don't like having puzzles just in my collection, to collect them. (we move too often and I am always running out of room) Most of the puzzles are donated, sold, given to friends/family etc. Out of the hundreds of puzzles I've done I've only redone only a handful. I have a video of the puzzles that I would keep if I only could have a few in my collection.
29 cents for a jigsaw puzzle! That blows my mind. Very fun image and reminds me of the auctions I used to attend with my father. The random piece cut surprised me. I had to use a box cutter to get into my latest Buffalo Games puzzle box and yes, it messed up the interior of the box more than I liked.
I loved this set of puzzles. I have the Amy Stewart Eclipse puzzle because I was in the path of totality and how much fun to mark a major event with a puzzle. I super love the Wentworth. I love holiday jigsaw puzzles and that image did not disappoint. Holiday perfection! Thank you for continuing to let us be a part of your life and your puzzle adventures. I don’t take for granted how much time you allot to us with videos and editing. I hope you can rest your voice. Wishing you all the best puzzles!!!
The vintage puzzle you did brought back memories of ones I did when I was younger. I really like the image on the Aimee Stewart puzzle. Cute whimsey pieces in the Wentworth.
I live right over the path of totality and never saw this one in any of our Walmart or Target stores here. Even Puzzle Warehouse didnt have it in their store (not sure of online though). The hunt to find it in stores is a thrill though!
Good choices made by the randomiser and all quite different. I think the whimsey in the Wentworth puzzle may have been a majorette. That's what it looked like to me. I hope you are feeling much better now, horrid when you feel unwell. I would be happy to see more randomiser videos if it means that you do puzzles that would otherwise languish on the shelf for a long time. Look forward to your next video.
Watching your videos early Saturday mornings from Florida. I watch/listen on my phone before my morning walk with friends. Thanks for sharing your puzzle life with us!
Hey everyone!!! I loved the idea someone had to do a live seasonally with these Gnome puzzles. So sometime in Fall I will do the next one of these Playful Gnomes. It looks like the 300 Piece set is new and is only on the Bits & Pieces website. However you can find the 500 & 1000 piece sets on Amazon if you want to puzzle along with the same puzzle. Bits & Pieces: Playful Gnomes 300 Piece Set: www.bitsandpieces.com/products/playful-gnomes-4-in-1-multi-pack-puzzle-sets?_pos=1&_sid=6d96bca98&_ss=r 500 Piece Set: amzn.to/4bgMu2P 1000 Piece Set amzn.to/4c9rBYl
I was able to hang out with you through most of the live last night while sorting a 550 piece Ceaco puzzle. I'm impressed at how casually quick you got the gnome puzzle done!
