Hey everyone!!! I'm back from nationals and had an amazing time!!! Many of these puzzles are limited quantities on the Ravensburger website and some are already sold out. I've heard some may come back in the fall. Either way I hope you enjoy the video and if you have questions about the event please comment below!!!
Hi! I paused mid-view to let you know that the llamas (or alpacas, I can't tell the difference) are standing in front of Machu Picchu, which is in the Andes in Peru. I have a soft spot for llamas, and for Peru, so I absolutely adore that tiny little puzzle you got!
If you want to pronounce Ravensburger correctly, the "burger" part of the word also sounds differently. The "u" sounds like the sound in the word "blue".
I would not bought the blue "Celestial Constellations" puzzle by Elspeth McLean either. In the chat for the live stream, it was called "blue hell" in honor of the "orange hell" puzzle from Worlds 2023.
Watched the nationals, there are crazy good puzzlers out there but you had really good times, I was impressed! Looking forward to seeing the puzzles for visually impaired people, I didn't know they existed!
Congratulations to getting in the finals twice, great job. I watched a couple of the livestreams and was rooting for you and Karen😃 I loved the busy burdies puzzle so much, hopefully it will be available here in the Netherlands also🙏🏻
The artist of Busy Birdies said the image follows the life cycle. Check it out. Birth in the upper left and death in the bottom right. Did Dave get to go with you?
Had a great time watching the livestream. We were cheering you on in the live chat. I really liked the Fiesta Time (I love food puzzles) and Jazzy. I also liked Sweet Street but I can't do 1000 piece puzzles.
Sweet Street would be such a fun puzzle if it was a 500 piece. I believe it was originally going to be but ended up being the 1000 piece for pairs instead.
Oh some lovely puzzles that you did at Nationals. Love the Busy Birdies one, but the chances of getting it available in the UK is moot. Glad you did so well and got to the finals, an unexpected bonus for you. Naturally you came back with a stash of puzzles, you wouldn't have been able to resist getting some! Look forward to the video of your time at Nationals.
Love the puzzles you picked up. Deans puzzles look like so much fun. I will pick up a few as well. Do you think will partake in any more speed puzzling events or was this something on your bucket list to complete?
