Your thoughts and experiences enrich our community, so please share them in the comments below. If you find value in this content, please consider subscribing for the latest discussions and tutorials.
With many years experience in off-grid solar power and daily preparedness, I share insights for educational purposes. However, I'm not a professional expert. This content is intended to inspire, not as professional advice, but as a base for your own research and exploration into self-reliance. All opinions are my own.
Don't think bugging out is relevant in this country we're too small,if your near a small wood or river, canals etc, these places will attract dozens of scavenger's if not worse looking for food water and unprepared people, dig in stay put, defend what you've got,and communicate what needs doing to those close family that will be legging it to my location and most important what they should do for good or bad on there way,we have to face facts looting and robbing will break out very quickly anything you grab last minute will help your people its just human nature, time to repent will come later, stay sharp, stay focused.Good luck just in case.👍🇬🇧🏴
@@everydayprepper my thoughts exactly buddy, there will be a lot of people out there wanting and fighting over what's left,a well stocked tight defensive position is essential,at least in the begining, personally I hope it never happens but better to have it on hand, stay well and safe.🇬🇧🏴👍
Hey there nothing to do with this video, however today whilst shopping I noticed a queue for petrol and for a nano second thought OMG are people waking up to world supply threats with what’s going on in the Middle East then remembered it’s the budget on Wednesday 😂 The booze section was equally busy in the store. Picked up of few barter items for SHTF 😁, but if the budget is as bad as they keep saying it’ll be I’ll be needing a stiff drink afterwards 🤣
I believe that the majority of preppers neglect physical fitness in favour of cool kit and food stocks. People say its never to late but i believe thats wrong. I see it in my older family. Some are now unable to walk just a few yards due to a stagnant life and poor diet choices. They can get fitter, but they will now never be fit. If it all goes wrong over night and your out of shape then I'm afraid it is too late.
I find myself getting my back up on the regular as people are just so darn flaky. There's barely a reliable person left. Whether it's people not showing up, or saying they'll do things and not following up on them, I'm just scunnered with them.
Identity politics, class system. Different generations, alpha, beta, sigma, male, female, gay, straight. Left, right, driver, cyclist etc. We have been divided into categories for years now. Cities are divided into cultural areas. With all this devision what did the politicians expect! Or is whats happening exactly what they did expect? Divide and conquer. It wasn't like this in the 70s, 80s, 90s. We did have issues between people but things started to get resolved. Now its worse than ever.
Thank you! Yes I plam to get out withbit as often as possible. The drone I'd really like is £1200 so I might have to settle for a Mini 2 in the interim.
I currently work in a government team that supports struggling or disabled people into work. Without going into the fine details, approximately 75% of the people who need the service are male. 75%.......Yet nobody will talk about it.
We don't have a visible police force anymore. Prospects for a lot of young people aren't looking good. People seem to forget their manners but we should continue to be polite to one another regardless. Everyone's struggling financially, Xmas it's on it's way. Prices of everything are still going up. Extra hours are having be worked just to meet the cost of living. It's no wonder we've got a major mental health crisis. There's conflict everywhere and more on the way. I personally would aim to be very selective about news sources and time spent watching them. Take time to switch off and focus on yourself your loved ones and your environment while being charitable when the opportunity arises. World events are beyond our control. It can be overwhelming and anxiety inducing. We all need to find that thing that helps us to switch off and relax. Both our physical and mental health are important. Might be an idea to find out when the supermarkets are at their quietest too.
I have noticed it over the last couple of years, Even the women drivers are loosing their shit over the most silliest of things, middle classes are acting like Viking's over nothing ...strange day's indeed
Not surprised that people are getting angry. 14 years of austerity now a totalitarian government, plus all the news re Russia and Israel conflicts leading to WWIII. Best place to be, is aware that we are in the last days and embrace what's cumming and thankful for what we have now.
I notice it a lot on the roads now and how some people go out of there way to ruin somebody's else's day. They seem to get some satisfaction out of it. I think too religion in the community used to keep people in check and teached people how to treat others. I'm not really a religious person or go to church, but I think it did help keep people community minded. I'm not saying it was perfect, but did set community guide lines for people to live by. Now it has mostly gone, a lot of people are just out for themselves and do whatever makes you them feel good and what they can get away with for self gain. Society has become very cold and depressing in some regards.
I think the increase in division, antisocial behaviour etc. is a really complex thing, and won't have a single cause, either nationally or internationally. You know, since Brexit, for example, I'd suggest we started this way of politics here where it is really combative rather than constructive, leading to a lack of respect of others opinions. Social media and online worlds are another one, where people often relate more to the people they know/follow online rather than the people who live next door. The fact people are far more mobile in their lives also, again impacting community. The list goes on and on, and to be honest, I've no idea what the answer is or how we as a society move forward.
This. And when people are called out on their BS they go into meltdown and reverse the situation - they are the persecuted and you are the persecutor. And somehow people go along with it.
@@Scottishprepper73 agree. And often they're not even from the group that has allegedly been offended, it's done for social credit points. Virtue signalling. Had a lot of dealings with health and social care, and the number of people who won't speak up about issues because they're afraid of being branded racist for example is ridiculous.
Depends on what a person is used to regarding the differences in anti-social behaviour then and now. i'm a CHAV,... Council House And Van. It's been uber-rough on the estate that i grew up on (in the1960s-80s) for three decades at least. i'm a stonemason NOT a sigh...chiatrist. The more time we spend in woodlands and wilds the more we can learn about the ways and sounds and relax into it. i'd rather practice 'overcoming people-anxiety' using dog walkers and other wildlife likers in readiness for the criminals with violent intent. in tent.. in an shtf moment. Useful thoughts Steve. Many thanks
We watch from our little island and now refuse to go to the mainland at all, we have not stepped off island for 5 years now and probably never will again, I hate what is happening to our once great country
@everydayprepper Yes. That I do know. My words were simple. It just must mean that that part in my message is not welcome by RU-vid. I know it's not you. 😎 Do you have an email for us to contact you?
People are frightened of getting involved in stopping any criminality for fear of being prosecuted themselves. Not the case back in the 60's and 70's, and because theres not enough coppers about, the nefarious know they can get away with it. The coppers have one hand tied behind their backs too .ie. manchester airport.
I do wonder if it`s what they are spraying in the sky night and day. I`ve noticed this a lot over the last few years, some days it`s a battle to get out of the house and to the shops without encountering these kind of rude idiots. Some people have no respect for others any more and it stands out a mile.
Essex Suffolk and Norfolk I notice these grids every day now and by the afternoon a total blanket- the met office are Blatant with their admission of it now- we have hardly any bees this and farmers are fkd - even the trees looked burnt from the sht they are spraying.

I agree Steve the 70s to me was our golden years but yes i can see changes in attitude and shortness of patience leading to outbursts , men are the ones checking out mate why i dont know maybe its the stress of bills and providing ,also this budget with all the things theyre going to hit us with ,today i heard 7p a litre on juice for cars and diesel this again will cause excess stress , i like you chise not to take the intervention, you kknow what i mean but i can see social issues getting worse
I think street aggression is getitng worse. we are getting too overpopulated, neigthbours move around a lot, constantly changing, cars make people anonymous and in a bubble,. money makes people entitled , people have ptsd after bad experiences with people, women get abused more just because we are women etc. dog walkers let their dogs loose and out of control and their dogs, start biting people and when you ask them to control their dog, they target you, cars on pavements and when the pedestrian asks if they can move, they are shouted at, some cyclists ride on pavements knocking people over....the sense of entitlement and no one gets jailed but a suspended sentence, people can do what they want now. i take a bodycam with me for evidence. massive rise in narcissism
Dunno if you've tried methylated spirits stoves, but they're virtually silent. The "Firebox nano stove" is a wood stove that also accepts the trangia burner and trangia gas burner. Pretty nice to have fall-back fuel options in case one fails for whatever reason. Meths is a nice fuel for stealth... 👍 all the best...
Yes, I bought an alcohol burner recently and took it when I went to camp up the cliffs but forgot to fill it! I use meths on my boat and as you say it's silent. I'll try that on my next trip.
@everydayprepper Cool ! ... funny thing about meths that most people are unaware of.... the by-product when you burn it, is water vapour... There's virtually zero carbon monoxide.... so you could burn it all day long in an enclosed space with no health risk. Condensation yes :) but carbon monoxide poisoning...nope...impossible. The top Google searches show bla bla don't burn in enclosed spaces....but if you dig down into the properties of the chemical...you'll see for yourself. All the best....👍
When I was at the beach, A guy turned up with his drone. First thing I noticed was how silent it was, you could go right up to someone without them knowing. I forgot what model it was, but he he said he paid $600 Australian (roughly 300 pounds) for it. It did have return to base and automatically landed itself. First time I had seen one up close.
You'd hear mine! I wonder what model he had. They usually sound like an extremely loud mosquito! Not sure mine would handle the sea breeze, I'd end up padding a li-lo to retrieve it! 🤣
@everydayprepper He told me it had some wind rating that it could automatically adjust for. Yes the ones I've noticed over my house occasionally you can hear, this one he had was silent. You would never now it was hovering above you. If I see him again I'll type it in the phone to save. My memory isn't great for things like that..
Steve for goodness sake stop panicking about people being around. You are not on the run, and have every right to be out in the country doing your thing. If people cross your path, wish then good day with a smile and get on with it. 😄
I know, I know, I'm getting there alright! That's why I'm going out as often as possible. I do actually interact with others when I'm out all the time, that doesn't go on camera that's all.
It’s good that you listen to your gut when it tells you all’s not well in a location. Your subconscious is cluing in to environmental indicators you don’t consciously notice. Good practice. Thanks for the vid. Liking your channel.
Great video Steve , your doing the best thing getting out there in the wild ,drones are brilliant but in a real shtf situation the first thing they do is break communication of any kind . 👍🏕️ O
Bugging in is for the most part s much more appropriate action for 99 percent of people. To start, make sure you have 2 weeks of ‘stuff’ if you couldn’t leave your house in that time and you did not have water/gas/elec. medication supply is often overlooked
Thanks for the video. I like the fact you keep mistakes I can learn from like building a wall and using terms like ridge line as I am clueless on this front atm. Good shout on bringing a shroom guide and a bin bag.Nice spot in woods. Would you bring your dog for protection and company?
Thanks. My dog is too old to bring out very far now unfortunately. If I was doing this when she was younger then I'd have had her camping with me probably!
