We bought a bilevel home in 2020 and my elderly dad was living there with us until his recent passing. Now we are thinking of using it as a group homeas it has three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, a kitchen area and shared space area. I have worked with adults and children with disabilities for the past 10 years. BUT im scared...scared of how to start, taxes, losing money, etc etc the list goes on...any advice?

Do you lease the property through your local government? 2. If not, do you screen tenants? Do short term contracts? 3. How do you find tenants? 4. Is insurance an issue? How much to start off and What if you don't have the money to start off? Any grants available. I am currently a full time caregiver and my drive is to open a small assistive living facility
So with adult family homes is it paid thru medicaid or medicare....just wanted to make sure there is guaranteed income and no supplementation on their part
