I found it odd that only one of the criminals were identified by photograph and that same man was the most harshly penalized (deservedly and justly, but for all) and ended up serving a prison term, when all should have been. Is his race an indication for the reason or coincidence?
What if Hipkiss was actually homeless, got everything lawfully, was the the beneficiary to the owned property, then rented out the place she was given to get her off of the street, profited, then from that, bought her second one to rent out… would that have been legal in the UK? I recently watched a video about a homeless girl who was in a wheelchair and subjected to violence on weekly basis. That girl was desperate and homeless and in dire needs of housing. How can the system allow her circumstances to be created when assoles are making a lot of money by renting out properties they don't even have the right to..? Surely somebody has let their end go so slack that this can be going on to the tune of billions every yr. It's maddening

We really need to stop right to buy theres so many exploiting it. There are many ways to buy homes on low incomes now so social housing should be reviewed after 5 years to see if the tenant still needs it.
This is why we have such a chronic housing shortgage. Keeping homes off people in geunine need of them. I had a neighbour who was subletting his council flat to other families whilst also having another council flat in another council area who then advertised it for rent on facebook marketplace.
I live in Norway, and we have none of these crimes here. People who cant afford housing have the right to, by law, to get housing benefits. Then its up to them to find a home for themselves to rent. That seems to be to be a much better system.
My son is desperate for a council property but there’s nothing it’s disgusting, worked since 16 the amount of tax national insurance paid yet our son can’t get anything. I wish someone would step forward & get rid of the ridiculous government opposition & get someone who isn’t scared to say what they think. Just stinks
Fraud? The council are fraud. No one should pay council tax. No one should be homeless. No one should put someone first before someone else priority wise. Everyone freezes. Everyone becomes dirty. The council are earning unbelievable amounts of money through council tax and other shady deals like lampposts and other many other things like back hand deals with property developers. What they should be doing is building new houses for people that are in difficult situations and I mean ALL PEOPLE not just those who are a priority. Don’t you dare make a programme about people committing ‘fraud’ when you send people to jail for not paying your fake bills of which you propagate a lie in the name of a ‘court order’ that is not from the court its the council that write those letters which is illegal. If we did that we would be in jail. What they do is cleverly trick you to turn up to court when they don’t even have you on the list in the court therefore you have just thrown your Defoe in the bin. Ignore all letters off them ignore bailiffs they show fake warrants which are not from a court official. Its illegals and they are liars and a fraud. Let’s make a programme about that then just like the tv licence fraud and scam which they also use threatening false information to intimidate you to pay money again frauds.
The sad reality is people from Europe, France, Germany, coming to the UK requesting for a property, get it straight away even though they already have a social housing back in France and Germany, they rent those properties out and the council has no way of tracking this. Council tenants should not have the right to buy these properties. The whole point of a council house if you can’t afford to pay higher rent in a private market. So where are they getting these money to buy a house? Being able to buy the council house is the root cause of having not enough council houses for people who need it. I personally know people who buy the council house for the cheap discounted amount and then sell it at the normal property market or rent it and then buy a bigger house and Settled in getting a smooth income from that property.
They don't put enough resources and taught into a system that is fail proof in detecting fraud. Think outside the box, lateral thinking or employ a former fraudster to catch a thief. ✊
L can remember the end of the 1990s everyone got a home if thay was not born in the UK. People lived in mansion-house and the government pays all the bills. People move out of there flat to have them rebuilt. And what happened the flats was giving to people who come to the UK. Out the back of a lorry into a three bedroom house or flat. Sorry but how does the council not have a simple process check to see if they own homes, its not like you dont have a list of people living in homes and the owners. Profits made should be given back to the person paying it, not given to the council, they rob enough and lost nothing from that house being missused.
