39:30 it feels like omegasol should be as high as 500 or they should make it usable on save point only (just like the survival tent). But then in xenoblade, they just remove healing out of battle completely. Maybe they have something toward resource management. Not sure how I feel about the comment toward Elly's parent, but I'll wait until the very end first.
This was always kind of a silly plot point imo, I mean by the end game I'm here staring at a stack of Phoenix downs like wtf are these even good for. By plot logic, apparently these don't exist. Phoenix downs are only cannon to the player I guess. Not to mention the revival materia.
The reason why the octa magic boss is weak to everything while healing is because absorbing something you are weak to makes you heal more hp. An example of this is gigantuar in ff6 advance, he is weak to water but using aqua breath on him will delete a ton of progress. I have no clue if this works on the player.
For me, I realized they weren't going to let Aerith live when she went on that "dream" date with Cloud. What, they are in a happy world? What, they are spending time together, all by themselves? What, they are sharing a quiet and intimate moment? Oh. This is a final sendoff for Aerith and they are making it special because we'll never get a chance to do that again.
except you're wrong. There are lines coded for Aerith well after that scene. You can add her back in through any method to see them, but she doesn't have lines for everything... most likely, they intended for this part to happen (quite a bit) later than it did, or they originally either planned for a way to avoid it, or it originally wasn't going to happen and was changed later.
Chadly lore?! 😍 Also, i like that they're giving Yuffie and Red XIII time to interact. Really points out that they're very similar. Both very young, both fighting to protect their homelands.
hrmmm. I started playing this myself after seeing all the cool stuff you can do with materia but I seem to have missed the comet materia somewhere can anyone tell me where he got it?
I absolutely loved the game but that ending….i haven’t been able to put into words what I thought about that (I just hate the alternate dimension storytelling as I think it’s lazy and how am I meant to get invested in characters when “oh they’re dead, but there are 5 other versions of them alive lol!”). You managed to basically say why the ending annoyed me so much, because it just seems like an absolute clusterfuck. Nevertheless…I’m still interested to see where they take it and whatever has happened to Cloud’s mind. I can’t wait to see the big weapons in part 3 as well Meteor and the full on “end of the world” feeling that the original does accomplish so well. But…that was about my only issue with it. I loved all of the game until that part. I raged a few times on some of the post game Chadley combat simulator things (still think that little jerk works for Hojo by tormenting us so much lol). Great review!
Now the STUPIDEST most convoluted thing that's possible is someone figuring out how to use arbitrary code execution to write Goofy into the game. but I'm just coming up with crap for engagement
You can still get fidget spinners, but yeah, they're usually in the pound (or dollar) store. They're handy for people like me who may or may not be on the spectrum to keep focused during meetings lol now that meetings are mostly online at my job, I'm usually using one just out of camera shot when a meeting goes on for more than an hour XD
i no longer like the bosses being morphable if morph damage is still heavily reduced sating curiosity isn't worth the tension of holding back not just damage, but fun strats like using counters/cmd. counter/ magic counter, but if i learn there IS a really good item, it's like "ugh"
