Hi Kim What is the difference between tutorial, practical and lecture? And which one do you recommend for a first year Life Sciences student? Thank you
hey Kimberly! i wasn't able to attend the course selection zoom presentations for U of T and felt so confused and overwhelmed. this video cleared everything up and I am beyond grateful!! I wish you the best in all that you do🫶🩷
Hi Kim! Thanks so much for the advice. I want to know if I want to change the offer from Health Science to Business for 1st year. Could you help to give me an instruction or steps? Please kindly advise. Many thanks.
Hi ! Thank u for the video. I have a question so if my currently enrolled courses got conflict with another bc I chose a wrong time. But I cannot changes the time. So do I need to drop this course and then add it again? Today is July 5th and I guess I can drop this course without showing on my transcript. Thank u !
Qu: I received a late fee of $10.90 on ACORN but do I need to pay double the amount as it takes 2 to 3 business days to process by 'Monetis' and U of T or just the first day fee?
Hi Kim! I am wondering what I can do if my GPA is not great with life science degree. Asking for a friend. My other question is: what are the things you can do with UofT PhD degree? I heard not much can be done beside academia or potential industry.
Hi Kim! I'm an international applicant who got accepted into U of T, and have recently started adding my courses to the planner. I'm not yet enrolled into them, however, because the enrollment dates are in July. 3 of my core courses for the program I'm doing are MAT135H5, MAT136H5, and MAT223H5. When I added them on the planner, there were issues found and it said that prerequisites are required, specifically a minimum number of courses from OSSALGEBRA&GEOMETRY 'High School Algebra'. Since I am not a Canadian, and have not done high school in Canada, how can I get myself enrolled into my courses? Oh and btw this video was so informative, thankyouu!
Is UTSG a good choice for medical ? I have gotten into U of T St. George and it is my top choice but I have heard that it is very difficult to score a good GPA and without a good GPA it is very difficult to get into a good med school. This has caused me to be confused about whether to get into U of T. How true is this ? Also have heard that the mental support resources are not too great - is this true ?
Hello, thank you for your informative videos. What are corequisites? How can we still take 5 courses including prequisites, breadth and corequisites? ( double majorin) .And my other question is that which one is better? Speacialist, two majors or one major and two minors?how to understand which one is better for us ?
Hi I am not sure whether I am going into business or science. I got accepted into U of T. What is your advice in terms of taking courses and what campus do you recommend?
Hello Kim, I want to apply for a PharmD after my A levels. I am required to take MAT135H1 as one of my prerequisites but I don't know whether I need math A levels to gain admission. By the way what high school educational system (IB, A-Levels, AP, etc) did you do, and what subjects did you do.
hi! im thinking of applying to uoft life sci next year and was wondering how bad the grade deflation/inflation is and whether or it affected ur chances of getting opportunities (ie research, grad school apps, internships etc) thank you!
Hi there! I did a comprehensive review on UofT's LifeSci program after completing my undergrad recently (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RV87R8ENhZk.html). I covered many topics that most students often express interest/worries (including the ones you mentioned above). Check it out if you're interested, all the best!
For international undergrad students, if they r just planning to take winter course, do they still have to pay the full tuition fee for fall/winter course or just half the price?
Hi there! Essentially, courses from the 100-series are ones that have the number "1" in the first digit of the course code eg. ENG"1"00; the number "2" appears in the first digit for 200-series course eg. ENG"2"00. Hope this helps and good luck.
hi! I was wondering if first years are suppose to enroll into both programs and courses for first year at the same time? Like, do we enroll into the programs we want to take before the fall of first year at the same time we are choosing courses or do we enroll into the programs once our first year is finished and we have completed the prerequisite courses? Thanks for the video!
Hi there, ty for your support! Great questions and I have talked about POSt in details (when to apply for POSt, how to choose POSt) in other videos, you should check these out! - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A2zYUGL62xc.html - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I-W-GPdSBfY.html - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RV87R8ENhZk.html All the best!
when you are accepted into uoft 1st year, you do not get put into a program until second year rather you get put into an admission stream. life sciences is an admission stream not a program. you apply to programs like biology and biochemistry in 2nd year
How do I know what courses in UTM are the equivalent to courses in St George? I'm currently admitted to UTM but I want to transfer to a program in st george in second year, but I understand the courses name are different. please help im so lost
Hi there, sorry for the late reply!! I am not familiar with course equivalents and transfer but I found some resource online that might be helpful (transferex.utoronto.ca/trans-nav/#/). Alternatively, I would recommend you to ask the UTM registrar's office about the transfer process and credits equivalents. UTM office of the registrar contact info: www.utm.utoronto.ca/registrar/office-registrar All the best!
