I can’t go anywhere or do anything without it turning into some kind of embarrassing story, so I was told to do a vlog where I could share things as they happen.
It quickly turned into a mix of family vlogging with my kids: Emily, Oliver and Ben; a Place for me to document our days out; and a place for me to talk about Autism and various things that interest me.
I’d like to reach a point where I have some kind of niche that I talk about, but so far I skim along the surface covering pretty much anything, telling embarrassing stories and learning how to keep a vlog going.
I tend to release on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I stream on Twitch on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. You can find me there on twitch.tv/sheepdog6k
I’ve always wondered whether people read these. So if you did, leave a comment on one of my videos. If you’re not sure what to write, tell me which is the better - Pepsi Max or Doctor Pepper?
I done 1 bk in novemver few days ago i got my decieion letter its declined shkwed me my pointd all off its wrong i did do a pip phone assesment aswell 1 hour qll info is wrong on it now i hqve to appel it bht it will ve the same bc info is wrong WHAT DO I DO please
Hi! So I ended up speaking to a solicitor who specialises in pip and they wrote a letter for mine to be redone due to how many law breaking mistakes they made. I would recommend seeking some kind of representation if you can, there are different services and groups. TikTok has an account called pip hero with some great resources. You need to ask your doctor to provide your medical history so you can give evidence of all of your diagnosed conditions, how they affect you, how they limit you etc. They will mess around though. The solicitor said they tend to behave when there’s legal experts involved.
hello i got my pip it was declined But all the info is incorrect on the paper i got 4 points but that only 1 correct the rest is wrong the write up is wrong so i done a appel yestarday now i got to wait again i have proof of this condition it was sent in with them@@SheepdogSays
Hi i got my decieion letter saying they wont give me it i looked at points i got 4 points on 1 of them but all the info is wrong so i had to appel it they went throug asked agree and disagree now i have to wait but i should of got it first time but she put info qll wrong on it
@@rfofficial24 they pretty much always decline it the first time. If you write back with all of your medical information from your doctor and go through the criteria 1 by 1 explaining how you are with them that should help. There’s a person called PiP hero on TikTok that seems good for advice too
@@SheepdogSays yeah thanks well i looked up the points aswell and communicating i dont do well with it and mixing with people and preparing food and reading im nit good with those so fat 4 points so qll i need another 4 i should get i looked at pip hero yeah it helped aswell
@Antsummerfield83 sadly yes! Though I’m assured it is getting better. Pharmacies are seemingly ordering it. I’m just having to hunt around. Hoping next month it’ll be fine.
Nearly 7 minutes before you started talking about the purpose of the video. You are full of waffle. I tried my best to listen to you, but gave up in the end. An assessor would do the same. They expect you to answer questions directly. Being able to get to work shows the assessor that you don’t need help with directions.
I’m not serving you a meal you paid for at a restaurant. I couldn’t give a toss if you liked it. Nobody in the world is interested in hearing your opinion on what they do. Try to remember that the next time you feel the urge to type something, then don’t bother 👍🏻
@@nathanboo7649 it might not be super different but we were able to go on a northern lights tour, a whale seeing trip and up some big tall hill/mountains. It had lots of nice bars too.
Glad it helped! It is a good indicator for whether to continue the process but it isn’t the only one so if there’s any doubts while using it you can use alternative bits and speak to experts too.
My son was about to be prescribed meds after 7 years since original referral, now not prescribing as apparently too many people are being diagnosed lol! There is a shortage of meds! She said coffee has the same effect so he is on coffee instead. She said you can mix them just be careful as might be too stimulating.
Coffee was my crutch before meds. I have 8 tablets left before I run out and so when I return home I need to ring every pharmacy I can find until one sorts me out as going from 70mg to 0 will be horrid!
Eek! Apparently loads of kids are dropping out of school as cannot function without meds and lots getting into trouble, its really bad news ! But you could just drink more coffee, the psychiatrist said they pretty much do the same job! I love coffee but too much makes me really wired! @@SheepdogSays
Omg, the name memory thing. I'm starting Vyvanse today (first ADHD med experience) and I hadn't even considered that that could have the possibility of improving.
Good luck! Would love to hear how you find it. If you have things like cold hands for the first week or so rest assured all the side effects like that wore off for me eventually. I can be forgetful when I’m tired but I do feel like I’m able to focus on things better now.
Pure bs, forgetting everything blaming it on adhd, who tf goes out the house without shoes on and it’s funny how you remembered to put your phone down and start recording but you forget your shoes? Nothing but an attention seeking bsittee
What a wonder is where we’re all the adhd, autistic, hyperactivity disorder and all the other disorders when I was at school? Really I just do not remember any, we had 40 to a class, just the teacher some kids were a bit slow but we all just got on with it. This was the 50/60/70s, my father in law was a teacher, headmaster for over 38 years plus his own schooling never came across child with Tourette’s my granddaughter school has 2!
They definitely existed Doug. Most cultures throughout history have words and descriptions for them. They weren’t particularly well understood, and in the 50s you’re talking post war. I doubt much thought was put into kids to be honest. As someone diagnosed later in life, I know when I was at school kids like me were just called class clowns, kids would just act aggressive with you because they didn’t like you and you’d make friends with the other autistic / adhd kids. You’d also get an absurd amount of detentions. I was getting 80+ a year because “just learn your lesson” doesn’t work with adhd. They assumed I was a difficult kid who refused to cooperate but I had no capability of managing this stuff. If it’d been the 60s I’d have probably just been beaten by the headmaster on a daily basis which would’ve been grim. Today we know this stuff is adhd, autism, etc. My son is at school and his head went from trying to force him to comply to working with him and getting to know him and this year was the best year he’s ever had in school because someone took the time to learn and understand the issues rather than assuming it was just excuses and difficulties. I get how it looks from the outside. But you’ve probably forgotten all times a kid was difficult or cried a lot, or got stressed or didn’t speak ever. They’d have been there completely oblivious to what their issue was. As adults they’d just be considered odd and unusual. Like the whimsical scientist types you see in older media.
We had over 40 in a class one teacher no help. My grand kids teacher struggle with 25 kids have to have quiet rooms, one class asked not to have bright red tops, used to have drums and tambourines but not any more as some children are triggered by sudden noise, one child is oftern late or not picked up as mum is unable to time regulate. Some children permanently have on noise reduction headphones. I can say that did not exist in my childhood. My in law was a headmaster and for a project he was doing looked up the exclusion and expulsions and rates of non attendance they were far lower in the past. You look like you are driving, you are able to sort out filming, editing uploading for goodness sake sort out a haircut appointment
@@beththegreen years ago things fell still do, years ago we had school assembly and would have drums and recorders no body ran out screaming, as I say my father in law was just starting teaching then and agrees we just did not have these issues
Time management is a massive challenge for people with ADHD. You can type “adhd time management” into google and see for yourself. Be sure to come back and say “oh yeah, sorry sheepdog. I was wrong,” when you’re done.
@@electrosharktv4271 Yerh they call them barbers, barbers are for men and hairdressers are for women although most hairdressers cut men’s hair also but a barber won’t cut a girls hair, you will never see a woman in a barber’s unless they are the barber herself
Lol cath, video blogs are very popular and ADHD is an issue millions around the world have empathy towards and are interested in. There literally a button on RU-vid designed for you to use if you are not interested in a topic.
Absolutely! Usually when I’ve made the planets align perfectly and feel like I’ve mastered the whole thing, I check my diary to be safe, and see I’m 7 days early.
It gives such a strong blast of Mangos its amazing. I think if I’m ever out of tablets and need a stop gap it’ll become my saviour but I’m sad I can’t just have one when I want now!
I’m a couple of months in now and I’m much more able to get things done. I’ve lost a about a stone and a half in weight. I tend to get less sleep but need less too. My focus is strong and I’m able to read things. Just finished a business course online, taken part in a game jam, wrote some mini comics and other things that I did previously but they were much less of a struggle this time! Hope you get good results from them too, I feel like they’ve been a game changer. My anxiety is much much better. I stayed on my other meds because of depression but generally my life has improved a lot.
Definitely can get a blue badge due to safety reasons ie likely to run into road ,drop in road or find transitions very difficult.I work in a special school and lots of our pupils have one.
I did a podcast about autistic people and their careers - interviewing a different person each episode about their work, how they got their jobs, what accommodations they have. Etc it can be found here: anchor.fm/theachpodcast
Brill thanks for sharing. Just wondered if you’d gone to some of the bigger charities that might be interested in your expertise - ignore these odd FB groups!
@@davidglover6416 yeah good idea too, will sit and send some emails maybe. See what they say. I thought going where the people were would make sense but it’s mainly parents complaining that their kid won’t fit around their wants and needs which has been a bit depressing tbh!
