On this channel, Timothy Totten shares fun and easy sewing projects in basic, real-time tutorials that take you step-by-step without the annoying music overlays and sped up processes that make it hard to understand some video tutorials. The channel will alternate between craft projects and pandemic face mask designs. Tim tries to post at least once every four or five days. Have ideas for new mask or craft project tutorials? Leave a comment and Tim will consider them!
Wow how awesome Tim! I worked in the area that put in the ports and knowing that there was a fun/cool shirt that would make accessing the port that much more "normal" for a patient is wonderful. I also accessed many ports and I think a number of people would like a shirt like that.
I did see a company making them for 100.00 bucks a piece, thought that was taking advantage of people who have/will have many more cost. I am going to try and make 1 as I just had a port put in.
@@fernie5128 Thank you so much. I have a few sweatshirts I am going to try making 1 using one of the sweatshirts as it is going into colder weather, my port is on the left side.
I just finished a quilt for a granddaughter who threw it in a chair along with her dirty clothes. Not quilt worthy. I actually took it back , put it on display and said she could have it when she really wanted it. She’s only 9. She will one day cherish it. Just not yet.
WOW, I hardly ever go into the Dollar store, reason, never knewn they had such great "stuff". Guess, where I'm going this weekend??!!! Thank you for the great information!!!
I want to know about your tools like your rulers and stuff you have found from the stores perhaps they may have some and maybe they may be sold out I would love to know about the rulers you have and the table for cutting pattern to make then fabrics it was hard to find about the materials maybe online so I don't know what stores they have but I know stuff were expensive
I just found your channel Mr Tim thank you for the tips I am going to go see if can go find the led lights and those labels,I have not seen those anywhere I hope one of my stores has them thank you for that !!! I DO HAVE A NASTY COMMENT FOR THOSE PEOPLE WITH THE F'EN ATTITUDES WHY DON'T THEY JUST GO AND PRAY ABOUT IT !!!BECAUSE THEY REALLY NEED IT !!!LOVE YOU MR.TIM AND GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING !!!❤
Thank you for your kind words. As for unpleasant comments, I usually ignore those or try to respond with something that will hopefully help them move past their anger or distaste. In the worst scenarios, I can simply block seeing them. I prefer not to let those things spend much time in my thoughts.
@@timothytotten9409 I think people that comment like that should be put in there place that's probably why I am not a youtuber God Bless you for being so sweet!!!❤️❤️❤️
The big one well thinking would be chenille or pipe cleaners as craft that u can sew big i like the big one love them but when u buy fabric u need to wash them first air dry them then iron them before trim them then for the pattern to cut out. Always wash the fabric same as materials 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I just love your apron and oh I would love to have the dimensions of your work table. Looks like it has a great and wonderful shelf underneath too a great place to store lots and lots of fabric.
You are way too obsessed with a simple garbage can you berate my intelligence and I really don't care what you're going to use an item for and that much detail I'm usually not this critical but this really hit a nerve this morning.
Was it just me, or did you put 3 grays in a row in the 2nd row from the top (furthest from the camera)? Shouldn't that very dark gray square in the middle of that row be a blue square? And you should have one gray and one blue square left over, not 2 blue ones. I was sure you would catch it when you started sewing!
The baskets come in colors. I use them in color for small scraps for embroidering, works great. I put a colored rubber band on handle to show even more colors. I also use the pink tray. Love cup holder too --have those tools too just mine :)
Thanks for some great, AFFORDABLE ideas!!! I use the Dritz Wash Away Wonder tape on zippers for purses--and on seams that are difficult to pin or clip--and I like it because it holds things in place and it doesn’t gum up the needle. But I have learned that it dries out pretty quickly if not kept in a sealed ziploc bag. 🤦♀️
I don’t think so because the back color comes to the front when you fold those pieces. So it would have to be a back fabric that could work for both holidays.
I love this video! Just ran across your site for the first time. Your instructions/descriptions are clear & concise and you do not take up a lot of time with useless chatter! I use a long pipe cleaner to clean my sewing machine. My machine does not open up when I try to clean it like your’s does, so I bend the end so I can get behind machine parts, AND it is long enough to get deeper into the machine. I am 70 years old and my grandmother (a tailor) sewed all of my clothes, the quilt on my bed, and the Raggedy Ann & Andy that sat on my pillows. I spent many years watching and learning from her. I have her clapper. But in all of the years I have been around sewing you still showed me a few things that I’ve never seen before. Thank you so very much!
On September 22, 2024, Tim, your infectious enthusiasm is exactly what this world needs. Whenever I revisit some of your videos, I receive a huge emotional and positive boost. Your creativity ignites a feeling of "I can do it too!" Please continue to spread the spirit you bring across social media. Your ideas, such as making a trip to the local Dollar Tree, are truly great. The bin markers with the clip you used for a bin can also be used for large notebooks. Thank you so very much for your time and sharing.
Hey Tim! Thanks for the videos! Love your channel! As some others have mentioned, please be careful with that double sided tape. Tape not meant for sewing (and even some that are! 😱) will gum up your needle and give you trouble. I, too, have used the Hotop tape made for sewing and I love it. There’s another RU-vidr, Christine’s Home Affairs who did a whole comparison video on different double sided tapes and her results. She sells tons of stuff in her store in Australia, so she definitely puts stuff to the test! I was going to post a link, but wasn’t sure if promoting another video directly would be appropriate. Can’t wait for the next video! 💙
Thanks, Tim! I’ve never visited 5 below but will now! Also, I just loved that tiny vacuum that you bought at the Dollar Store. Thanks for showing us all those nifty items!
This is interesting as a Five Below just opened a few doors down in the same strip of stores. I’ve been to this type,of store in a different and was happy to find one near my home % but I went when the store first opened - bad timing! I have a choice of two $$Tree stores where I live and wow! How different they are! I’ll see if I can find so wmod these items in the closest one before I try the larger store!
All towels mostly get threads pulled. I even bought some on hsn and they were $50 and the did the same. Where can you buy good towels. JC Penny's I guess.
I have tried their double-sided tape for holding down my zippers and hems. It works really well, except it comes up my needle a bit. There is a double-sided tape called Hotop which is excellent. Although it does cost a bit more, you get what you pay for. I'm wondering if those LED lights work. I'd like to put one under my sewing machine to light up the right side of my sewing needle area.
